Great demo as always! Love that you show the cutting angles and how they correspond to the ruler, the 1/4” overlap allowance on the “dog ears”, and how to pin each piece prior to sewing. I will definitely be using this tutorial, but will need to starch first! I’m not as confident with my quilting to not have the sizing. 😉
This is amazing! You make it look so easy! Thank you for showing how to line up everything for the proper cuts... love all you videos!! Keep up the great work! ❤
Teresa you are brilliant! Love the music in this one. Your instructions are very clear and make me feel as if I could do that too, so thanks! _ Violet🥀
Hi Teresa! This tutorial is one that I will be watching again and again. Did you starch your fabric? Thanks for sharing your instructions for this beautiful block.
Very pretty block and I love your step by step instructions. Curious to know if you starched the fabric or not? I'd like to make this in a Christmas quilt for my grandbaby.
Hello, I love your tutorial, but I have one question. At the beginning of your video you showed 2 white squares at 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 then when you were cutting them into triangles you showed the squares at 7 1/4. Did you trim the squares down before stitching them?
thank you, I am working on a lonestar quilt block and using the directions I was given I cannot get the sides of the background and the points to line up with each other. I will try a bigger cut of the background...thank you...@@teresadownunder
Thanks Teresa - I'm always amazed at how much you can teach without saying a word! It's a beautiful block and your precision is amazing.
Glad you like it

Hi Teresa! This tutorial is one that I will be watching again and again. Did you starch your fabric? Thanks for sharing your instructions for this beautiful block.
No I didn’t starch.
@@teresadownunder I can only hope that my block will be as beautiful and flat as yours. Practice, practice!

Gracias
Beautiful! I would never be able to get this lined up correctly!
😂
😊excellent as always!
Thanks
U have created a beautiful block. How does ur brain figure out all these seemingly undoable blocks out?
Quilting software!
Honestly, just did that pillowcase and regret not watching your video first. Could have saved some much needed fabric 😢
😢
I have such trouble with the Lone star and have only been able to make it with half square triangles. I have to try this method.
Glad you like it

I didn’t starch my fabric because I’m lazy but it helps with sewing accuracy.

This was long ago and I can’t remember. It’s best to start bigger and trim than the other way around.

What size does this finish at?
You’ve got the finished size at the end of the video
What size block is this please
You have the details at the end of the video
Just read you are going to stop posting. Hope it's a short pause
