    Thanks Teresa - I'm always amazed at how much you can teach without saying a word! It's a beautiful block and your precision is amazing.

    Great demo as always! Love that you show the cutting angles and how they correspond to the ruler, the 1/4” overlap allowance on the “dog ears”, and how to pin each piece prior to sewing. I will definitely be using this tutorial, but will need to starch first! I’m not as confident with my quilting to not have the sizing. 😉

    Very pretty block and I love your step by step instructions. Curious to know if you starched the fabric or not? I'd like to make this in a Christmas quilt for my grandbaby.

      I didn’t starch my fabric because I’m lazy but it helps with sewing accuracy.

    Hello, I love your tutorial, but I have one question. At the beginning of your video you showed 2 white squares at 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 then when you were cutting them into triangles you showed the squares at 7 1/4. Did you trim the squares down before stitching them?

    • @teresadownunder
      @teresadownunder  10 месяцев назад

      This was long ago and I can’t remember. It’s best to start bigger and trim than the other way around.

      thank you, I am working on a lonestar quilt block and using the directions I was given I cannot get the sides of the background and the points to line up with each other. I will try a bigger cut of the background...thank you...@@teresadownunder
