Number me among your fans of your tutorials. I also look forward to more. I loved this star in the 4", it was beautiful and thanks for taking the time to explain how to press the seams! I hate to go to put blocks together and run into the issue with seams not nesting and due to construction, cannot be fixed. Ugh!
one way to minimize waste is to not use a white rectangle, but calculate a the square to make 2 HST's . Then the only waste is the little bit that is cut off the colored rectangle at the end. I worked on that method today after watching McCall's and seeing N. Zieman's method. It works quite well. Determine the size of the finished square and add 7/8's and cut once on the diagonal. Also, the corner clipping tools work really well too for corners on the rectangle.
So glad you're doing more tutorials! You're very easy to follow and very informative. Great method! Thank you.
Yes, she should definitely do more videos.

Great method. I'd save all the "waste" for a marvelous border!
Tutorial.was excellent but didn't mention fabric measurements for the 4 inch block!
Great tutorial, but I cannot believe the yardage waste in this method!!
I feel the same way. I loved the tutorial but I cringed at all the yardage waste as well.
what size are those squares and rectangles? didnt say what size to cut
