    A Cozy Strip Club Pattern Designed for 2½" Strips
    The LeMoyne Block is no longer daunting, scary, or difficult! Thanks to the beauty of pre-cut 2 ½" strips and the tube technique, you can make your own LeMoyne Magic quilt with ease and confidence. There are no Y-seams, no difficult sewing, and no reason to run away from this block any longer.
    Just partner two strip fabrics for a star, sew some tubes and cut half-square triangle blocks using either a square up ruler or our favorite Cozy tool, The Strip Tube Ruler™. And truth be told, The Strip Tube Junior™ makes the project even easier because it is perfect for this size block!
    While the LeMoyne block is pretty by itself, this magical design makes it all the more beautiful with the addition of an interesting, complementing block that is used to alternate with the LeMoyne Star.
    So choose a bundle of beautiful strips, grab out your The Strip Tube Junior™ (or Strip Tube Ruler™), and get going. You've got a stunning LeMoyne Star quilt to make!!

    I have just purchased two patterns the strip tube senior and junior. I am putting my first quilt together and love how they are so square and do not need to be squared up like other quilts I have made I will make more thank you

    First, you looked a little peaked in this video Daniella, not your usual perky self. Take care of yourself and stay healthy. Second, OMG thank you for this pattern. This is the only lemoyne star video I have seen that didn't make my eyes cross. Why does every one else make it look so difficult? Another hit.

    This is a nice quilt for sure! However, I don't like using the half square triangle method for the Lemoyne Star block. The blocks get too wonky. I like Deb Tucker's tool. It's so easy to make them many sizes.

    I got this pattern as our Guild was doing a Sew-a-Long. I had to miss it, so doing it on my own. I'm not a newbie, and I don't like how there are NO pressing instructions for the Star!

    Being a new quilter, I believe more instructions are needed in order for me to make this quilt (I REALLY want to make this quilt).

    What am I doing wrong? My star blocks and my contrast blocks come out different sizes! I'm using 2.5" strips and .25" seam. My stars result in 10.25" squares while the "checkerboard" squares come out to 8.25".
    Help!

      Lionel Twain Just a guess here but are you cutting the half square triangles the right size?

    • @lioneltwain8021
      @lioneltwain8021 9 лет назад +1

      Yes, and I double checked all my cutting and measuring. Compensated by making the contrast blocks out of 3.5" strips. Couldn't make it happen with Jelly Rolls, but I finished the quilt!

    Beautiful quilt, but it is not a LeMoyne star, A LeMoyne star is cut from 40 degree diamonds, not triangles.

    I didnt like how she made the audience member yell for her responses. Not a professional!

      Most audience members enjoy having a turn by responding and have stronger memories of this list of instructions and it creates more confidence.

      Disagree! I think she's just having with her audience:) Most designers have followers so they know her very well.
