CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Randy (Jamie Kennedy) breaks down the do's and don'ts of surviving a horror movie to his less than interested audience.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Scream is at once a slasher film and a tongue-in-cheek position paper on the "dead teenagers" movies of the late 1970s/early 1980s that plays as half-parody, half-tribute. Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is having a rough time lately: she's still getting over the brutal rape and murder of her mother a year ago, and now one of her friends (Drew Barrymore) has been killed by a lunatic who harassed her with terrifying phone calls, then stabbed her to death while wearing a Halloween costume. Soon Sydney is receiving similar phone calls, quizzing her on the arcane details of such films as Friday the 13th and Prom Night, and is attacked by the same cloaked maniac. With her father missing, she has hardly anyone on her side except her best friend Tatum (Rose McGowan) and Tatum's brother Dewey (David Arquette), a half-bright cop. As for the murderer, it could be any number of people: Syd's father; her cute but overly intense boyfriend Billy (Skeet Ullrich); Tatum's goofball boyfriend Stuart (Matthew Lillard); or Randy (Jamie Kennedy), who works at the local video store and seems to like horror movies just a little too much. Much like Halloween, Scream spawned a series of sequels and inspired a large number of similar films -- its original working title, Scary Movie, became the title of the 2000 parody film by Damon Wayans.

he forgot the most important one. NEVER split up.
Exactly.. I wish a bitch would tell me to split up.. What? bitch this ain't Scooby Doo...
+Lj Ellsworth Randy is in Heaven explaining the rules... Just like this.
And never go out alone.
+TheOnesieSisters What about "Don't go through the door"?
I personally would be the most hated in the group bc I'd be sacrificing people for my safety. At the end of the day its about you not being killed.
Still can't believe the guy who played as Stu is the same guy who played Shaggy in Scooby Doo live action movie.
margareth michelina It would be cool if they did a scooby do movie where shaggy turns out to be one of the monsters.
@@TheLegoNewsReporter Or Ghostface is one of the monsters.
margareth michelina I know right? Who would’ve thought? Zoinks!
Love this movie still as when it first cam out 1996 and I was born 1993 that was around six or nine years ago I was seven at the time
Project: Filmmaker no it would be cool to see a R movie of scooby doo
Stu watching a movie, just having a good time with friends and his girlfriend dead in the garage. I love scream.
he l=knew about it the whole time and he didn't even care lol. That's why I find so funny
I think he was drinking so intensely because of that
He was a sociopath
Do you even speak English
helo haw ar yu?
Based on these rules I could totally survive a horror movie.
Black Arrow, If you only equate alcohol and drugs to a good time, you must be really immature
Haha were you born in 79?
Quinntus79 i mean I could maybe JK IM DEAD
Quinntus79 your life sounds boring
The rules changed in the mid 2000's
i love this scene, perfect teenage example of 90s hangouts. ahh those were the best times
What? People don't hang out anymore?
She meant The real good best days:)
I’m jealous of 90s teens lol
@@angelite7416 don't you can still do it.
Yeah but back then people actually cared about each other this generation is a joke.
After the fact: People would consider it ironic that the killer said the line. But the real irony...is that Stu did die...
he also got stabbed in the kitchen like randy said.
Mathew Lillard 1996: I'll be right baackk
2023: I ALWAYS COME BACK
I love how everyones completely oblivious to the fact that Randys pointing out specific rules, WHILE the killer is in the room. More tips for Stu. Love it.
And he's making fun of Randy in the process 😂😂😂😂😂
I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!
welp now sidney kills you with a tv my freind.
Oooooooooh!!!!
His facial expression at that part kills me! Lol!
Love how Randy pauses Halloween right at the part where Micheal Myers lifts up his knife in the air!
Perfect foreshadowing!
You’ll notice the error in the pause: he stops it when Michael lifts the knife at Bob. Bob died in the scene just seconds before when Michael had already lifted the knife.
@@EvaSlayAllDay334 he did rewind the scene again so there is no error dummy
William afton after getting spring locked: I’LL BE RIGHT BACK
I ALWAYS COME BACK
I love this scene in the movie. Because it forced HORROR-MOVIE makers to CHANGE THE RULES.
No it didn't. Since Randy's rules, horror movie makers have been making the characters break the rules more often. Sex, drugs, alcohol and I'll be right back has gotten them all killed most often since this movie.
No they didn't lol. Same formula
No, they don't.
For the people commenting "no it didn't"
You are not wrong, Nither dose he, "Randy's Rules" called out loud the classic horror movie clichès! IN A CLASSIC HORROR MOVIE! That scene left a huge impact on the classic slashers horror films that came after the original scream. They teach this at film schools nowdays. "Randy's rules" indeed change the game in many aspects.
"I ALWAYS COME BACK"
Knows all the rules to survive in a horror movie, dies in a horror movie.
jackass123491 He doesn't die in the first movie.
+Mel K عننا عن 6
Because the rules changed.
matthew mann It's because he gave up his virginity in an unseen scene and the second movie.
He was suppose to be immortal character but they knew kids like you would be angry about why he is still alive lol.
Lol kids
"I'm getting another beer, you want one?"
"Yeah, sure..."
"I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!!!"
"OHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh"
lol XD

I keep remembering a scene that someone says "I will go to call the police". Is that from the movie or is it another? Damn, im searching this quote for a hour, and did not found it. SOMEONE HELP ME!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your so sexy Randy Gutierrez
Too Damn Funny
Peer pressure. I'm far too sensitive ;/
There are five steps to surviving
Step 1: Have a knife
Step 2: Have a gun
Step 3: Don't get separated
Step 4: If you do get separated, go into an open space with room to dodge.
Step 5: Beat the living crap out of the killer
If failed: RUN BISH, RUUUUUUUUUUUN.
Run should be #1
but as you know, you CANT run in horror films, you seem to trip all over yourself while sobbing..! you should know this!
XxPineappleKillerxX RUN RABBIT RUN RABBIT
Far too many heroes/heroines overlook step 5. The killer always comes back for a final showdown unless you totally vaporize him.
XxPineappleKillerxX Q
Certain rules for suriving a horror movie
Rule #1 never have sex
Rule #2 never drink booze or do drugs
And lastly never under any circumstances say I'll be right back cause you wont,
They did most of these things and only a few survived
TheDarkwingj Most characters drank booze and did drugs
Randy drank yet didnt die in movie 1 ...
TheDarkwingj I’m getting another beer u want one?
@@mohmmadashayn8273 yeah sure.
@@mariachavez5018 I'll be right back!!😆
1:27--I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!!!!!! best line in the scene
That's our Afton Ladies and Gentlemen
I love how Randy cheers the guy with his beer even while saying “you can never drink” LMAO
I did the same thing on cheering on the screen with my alcohol drink in my hand😂😂😂
" Jesus Christ you don't know the rules"
Don't have an aneurysm
Jesus Christ : Of course I don't know the rules.
They are more like guidelines. We don’t want too lean too much left or right otherwise we get lost and die.
I didn’t notice it until literally my millionth time watching this movie but Tatum was already dead in the garage and Stu said he was going for a beer....he would have seen her body and would have been shocked if he wasn’t the killer. This was a clue that he was one of the killers! I can’t believe I didn’t notice that before! *facepalm*
Yo, I never noticed that before, that's crazy!!! 😲🤯
Haha oh yeah! Although we don't really see Stu after this until the final reveal.
@@niallwatts789 and when we do finally see him he sweaty because he was running after Sid.
I have been watching this movie since 1996 (9 years old) and I’ve NEVER realized that until your comment 😂
he went to the kitchen though. he doesn’t go to the garage.
1:13 I love that he still salutes the guy 😂😂
Best Scene in the whole franchise. PERIOD.
rip wes craven
لث
+George Harrison I bet he said "I;ll be right back" LOL
+Omar Alor saaaaad
+Omar Alor Pretty sad to know that he won't be back.
Yes..
Jamie really was great in this movie.
Jamie Kennedy in Scream or Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween?
MrParkerman6 Jamie Kennedy
@@MrParkerman6 both
Randy’s face when stu says I’ll be right back
Had me dying I just can’t 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
At 01:33 One of the hints that Stu is killer is when Randy tells him: "I'll see you in the kitchen with a knife". - and later on Stu, Billy and Sid end up in kitchen where they stab each other hoping to frame Sid's dad. Great movie, man. Well written, acted and directed. They dont make 'em like this anymore. 10/10
the best scene of the entire fucking series
Funny, he did come back, just as Afton
Stu Macher: I'll be right back!
William Afton: I always come back.
😂
Wow forgot I commented this lol
Hello What You Favriote Scary Movie?
Even knowing who it is could be dangerous. Look at Billy and Sidney giving him the gun before Randy is shot...
Kinda hard to do the 2nd one if you have Sydney's or Casey's type of phone, lol. Agree with the first one though I also agree with Nicholas.
Well, back when this movie came out that would be hard to tell considering not all phones had caller ID.
The best slasher film since Halloween but more fun.I remember watching this movie in my boarding school. What a glorious time it was.
He always comeback... He always does...
He always comes back
Stu really went from "I'll be right back" to "I always come back"
I ALWAYS COME BACK!!!!
Nice xd.
1:27 and that’s how a William afton was born
At least Randy survived for the sequel
And at least he didnt die in the opening scene.
@@jeremiahdansereau2950 unlike Cotton 😞
1:27 this aged well
1:27
Well he always come back, so...
1:27 gets me dead every time 😂
Be a final girl, or the girl's best guy friend.
I love that they were respecting halloween
Stu went to call the police to report Neil Prescott’s car in the woods instead of getting Randy a beer so that way Dewey and Gale can get away from the house.
Smart.
Rules to survive a horror movie....
1 ) Never have sex or drink or do drugs
2 ) Never Split up
3 ) Never say Whos there or Whos this when your otp or At the door
4 ) always carry weapon at all times even when its not the best weapon best to do is defend yourself
5 ) When you knock killer down off his feet dont keep running at least keep fighting him
Laurie strode smoked weed and survived Halloween.
Alice smoked weed and survived Friday the 13th part 1.
The final girl in black Christmas drank and survived.
6) always checked your car engine sometimes the car wont start while the killer appears
7) never enter any abandoned places with a disturbing backstory
The guy in the beginning complains about the blood being too red? Uuhm...I'm sorry sir, but there isn't actually any blood to be seen in that halloween scene
Michael Halvorsen facts ain’t no blood in that scene
There is NO blood in halloween, and Ironically that guy is one of the voice artists for "how it should have ended".
Maybe it was sarcasm
Pretty sure it was sarcasm
Honestly seeing Randy makes me sad, I miss him so much! Also in Scream 3 there was an alternate ending that breaks my heart. There was a fourth rule for a trilogy, 'Never Be Alone' the reason it was cut is because Gale split off from the group after Randy said that on his tape.
I miss the old teenagers not the fucking robots today...
I've got my own rules. Know how to fight. Carry a weapon (maybe more than one). Defy your role as victim. Cripple the son of a bitch if you want more information. Of course, slasher flicks wouldn't really be slasher flicks if the teenagers knew how to defend themselves.
Shut the fuck up.
I am you fiyi6.
It's actually very clever that the reason why Stu wasn't killed after saying "I'll be right back" is because he is the killer, or rather one of the killers.
Or maybe he always Come back
The irony though is that he actually DID die in the end, and he was stabbed in the kitchen too
STU AND RANDY BRUNG A VERY NEEDED "EDGE" TO THE SERIES. THEY BROKE THE RULES. THINK ABOUT IT... and they brung the best comedic relief
I mean, the Scream movies were always about subverting the horror movie tropes. That's the whole deal.
Brought* not "brung". I don't even think Brung is a word
Dawson Garret I was just thinking that lol
look at stu when michael stabbed that guy pure psyco
Idk why I’ve always liked how after he explains the first rule they throw popcorn at him and after explaining the second rule that one guy clinks glasses with him lolol
1:27 I'll be right back
"OOOOOHHHHH"
The fact that they’re watching Halloween 1978 is funny to me lol. Beautiful horror franchises!
I like the part where he goes "big no no big no no" lol
Also you must:
Never say “who’s there?”
Never answer the phone.
Always keep the lights on because the killer is always hiding in the darkness.
Keep the doors and windows locked at all times.
See everyone as the prime suspect regardless of suspicion.
Never assume the killer is dead.
Realize you are a possible victim.
Always have a weapon or resilient object on you or close by.
Never go outside to investigate. (It’s a Trap)
Well. Sidney locked the door. But the killer was in the house and she was trapped with him.
Rest in Peace Wes Craven, Master of Horror :(
Scream 6 tried to replicate this but it just doesn’t have the same heart as this.
I love this scene. It's unintentionally hilarious. 😆 🤣
This movie also serves as a satire of horror movies so if you thought that some scenes were funny know that it’s intentional
No it’s very much intentionally hilarious
Bad luck Brian as ghost face killer. Hears first victim:"I'll be back"
Terminator.
The fact that Randy was serious about the 3 rules makes it all the more funny
Randy should've made a horror survival guide if it happened to me in the real world
I wish I had friends like this to watch movies with
1:28 found where the roast sound came from
Omg, you could be right!
This movie is a must watch for someone who’s new to these horror/slasher films
Randy was one of the best characters... should've never killed him off in Scream 2.
He always come back as stronger than ever.
That kid commenting on the blood always annoyed me-there's not a drop of blood in that death scene.
Same!
"OHH!! The color of the blood is all wrong, why'd they do that? It's too reddddddd!"
That's probably the point... he was probably being sarcastic
I like when Stu hangs his tongue out, signature playful thing
I was literally Randy at every party haha
"I'll see you in the kitchen with a knife"
Best foreshadowing in a horror movie
My niece is only 4 and she loves the part when he says "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!" XDXD
The thing that concerns me is that you're showing R rated movies to your FOUR YEAR OLD?
@@BarthvaderHalloween it’s only rated r bc of graphic horror violence, “gore” and language no nudity or anything lol she’s completely fine. She doesn’t watch the whole movie, she just watches bits and pieces and comes in at this part. She’s now 7 and still loves it
@@perfectlyimperfect1601 Oh, okay.
“Ill see ya in the Kitchen with a knife”
…was not wrong, just not Randy who saw um….
"You can never drink or do drugs."
Of course followed swiftly by everyone, INCLUDING THE GUY WHO JUST SAID IT, clinking their glasses and taking a swig. That's why these people still die. They may know the rules of surviving, but they don't seem to take them very seriously.
It's literally 90's what did you expect
0:51 We can tell by looking into stu eyes that the stony is lying. Because the stu is a horror flimist like randy
The homages are so awesome the references. Its solid gold what wes craven gave us
They cut right as we were getting another great bit of foreshadowing from Randy:
"Okay, I'll see you in the kitchen with a knife!"
This is one of a few movies that Jamie Kennedy was good in.
New subject
Imagine if tom holland acts exactly like Jaime Kennedy? Would you hate his acting?
Bowens92 what does Tom Holland have to do with Jamie Kennedy?
@@JoD-qu7ed Like I thought you kids wouldn't consider tom as
"One of the few good movies he's in"

Why?
Who is here after watching Scream 2022. As a real scream fan, these films will forever be classic❤️
1:19
+ Never ever ever, under any circunstances say "I'll be right back", cuz' you wont be back.
- I'm getting another beer, you want one?
+ Yeah, sure.
- I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!
OOOOOOH!
it aged well tho
His face when he teases, "I'll be right back!" is hilarious!
1:34
“I’ll see ya in the kitchen with a Knife”
-Later Stu has a Knife in the kitchen
0:42 0:46 Randy's reaction and his "Jesus Christ! You don't know the rules?" is always kills me😂😂😂
He had a nerdy meltdown 🤣
oh gosh randy is so adorable
Anyone else notice how Stu did a silent cheer when Michael Myers got a stab and then looked around to make sure no one saw him do it?
I can't believe he paused during one of the most intense scenes. That's real evil.
William Afton
1:27 his eyes lmao
I love his delivery when he says "There are certain RULES"
Even though Randy didn't get the girl ironically in the end he was a hero because he saved the life of the girl he always loved cared for and protected which was Sidney so even though he died he still saved lives which makes him the hero in the end and is all facts.
Randy: BIG NO NO BIG NO NO!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
Randys face after stu saying: ILL BE RIGHT BACK! got me dying
Just got back from seeing Scream 6, and all I can say is WOW! It’s an incredible thrill ride that (as always) keeps you guessing and guessing from start to finish, and they really weren’t kidding when they said this one would be the goriest yet! I’m also gonna admit that this was only my second time seeing a Scream film in theaters after the fifth one (which I also find to be incredible). Thankfully though, I have a strong feeling we’ll get a 7th one, and when we do, I WILL BE THERE. Here’s where I personally rank the newest film in the franchise:
1. Scream
2. Scream (2022)
3. Scream VI
4. Scream 2
5. Scream 4
6. Scream 3
If your in a scary movie there are more than 3 rules on how to survive one.
1. Never have sex
2. Don't do drugs and drink beer
3. Never say I'll be right back and who's there
4. Never go alone
5. Stay in a group
6. Don't be dumb be smart
7. Be brave
8. if the killer chases you run fast and don't fall and never look back.
9. Find a weapon you can fight the killer with.
10. If you kill the killer make sure the killer is really dead.
Randy is one of my favorite characters in scream
I watched Scream for the first time last night, and I loved it! I was lmao at this scene. "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!!" 😂😂
Ironically, this is how to survive in real life as well.
Stu: Hey, I'm getting another beer, do you want one?
Randy: Yeah, sure!
Stu: I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!
Crowd: *OOOOOHHHHHH!!*
🤣🤣🤣The most iconic part of this movie, along with EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!! XD
Whenever I leave a room now I always go “I’LL BE RIGHT BACK!”
