Huge respect to your friend on the Daytona. I absolutely love my Daytona 675, but man I do like to get off every hour or so.. and not just because I want to look at it. His wrists and palms must be made of steel

Excellent, I will do that next time, thanks for the tips. 4 weeks ago I did a tour (also from Surrey) to Italy and Switzerland. Amazing routes, cheap trip etc. On a second day I was already on Stelvio Pass and Garda Lake, then on the way back to UK many other Passes like Gavia, Furka, Susten etc. Literally a few days is all you need. I cannot even describe how amazing this roads in the Alps are. It is a heaven for motorcyclists.

The B500 is quite ok, but the ascents and descents there are good and interesting roads.

The event is in Folembray, near St Quentin. I was thinking of making a route through Wallonia, the Ardennes Nd the Vosges before looping around back to Folembray. Thanks for the info 👍

i done this route in June on my Benelli 1130, it was raining when i left for the Dover ferry (cheap) camping along the way through thunderstorms I headed down to the alps slowly taking in the sights and food till day 5 i was near lake Geneva switzerland where i was t boned by a Renault Clio.Took a month to get the bike back to the uk and 2 months for me to rebuild it. Next year i shall make my way back and continue the journey from the scene of my accident .
Cash saving tips if you have the time/carrying capacity are lightweight camping gear and cook your own food when weather is nice or F1 hotels very cheap, fill up drinking water from mountain troughs ,it's real mineral water, make your own coffee. Fill up in towns not motorways and avoid tolls if time allows .Also the ferry is obviously cheaper .Enjoyed the video

In the meantime, my touring plans for this year have been brought to a shuddering halt after a stone made a nice little hole in the radiator of my Super Duke GT.
