Thank you so much for filming and posting this video. I rode the north island last year and was wondering if you would be willing to share a route map of the ride you took around the south island. I’m going to New Zealand in January 2024, and I want to ride around the south island. Your route looks really good. I will be happy to compensate you for sharing the route or map. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment Jon. Glad to hear you're coming to NZ for a bike trip! I don't have the exact route that I did mapped out unfortunately, but I can jot down some of the roads and locations that I did if that would help?
Good day to you! I am HONDA Cub grandpa from Japan ! I love touring and camping. It is so nice tour video ! Looks so great adventure ! Thank you for sharing! ! Have a nice day my friend !
Wow. Breathtaking. With a calm and brilliant voiceover that makes you want more. Well done Logan, you took self isolation to a different level. You are definitely on the right track. Highly recommended 👍👍👍
Hi Logan, such a shame you didn't know about us. We'd have got you all set up in no time at all and we'd have somewhere for you to dry your gear and enjoy our famous coffee. Next time. BTW, that's not Denali in Swansea. That's Denalishop. Denali in USA are a big organisation working out of a large facility in Rhode Island. Due to space under the seat I'd have recommended either the Cansmart or Amplink under your seat. Both of which have circuit breakers as opposed to physical fuses.
Enjoyable first episode. I like the way you mix up the riding, scenery, camping and factual background stuff. It makes it very interesting for a rider and traveller like me. It looks like you put a lot of thought and effort into the video.
Hey thanks! Happy to hear you're a keen motorcycle traveller and enjoyed the vid. Yep, it has taken a fair few months to get the episodes ready. Episode 2 is out now if you'd like to watch: ruclips.net/video/AB-TiEAALew/видео.html
@@EscapeArtistMediaVideo i bought my first "big" bike in April of 2021, a Benelli TRK 502, and planning to do a tour of Greece next year hopefully! Thank you for sharing your experience. I already got a lot of tips and tricks for touring.
Thanks! I actually did the South West on a separate trip before I started the filming thing. Beautiful down there. To get the bike, I sent BMW Motorrad a proposal with examples of my photography and videos, asking if they'd be interested in exchanging some content for the use of a bike. They said yes!
Great start to your adventure. I've been following you for a while because we have the same interests. Motorcycles and photography. I should also start filming my travels. I am very interested in those wild camp locations. Hopefully we'll meet along the way. Grtz from Belgium.
Thank you mate, great to hear we share the same interests. Documenting the travels is great fun, you should definitely get into it. Hope to meet on the road in the future :)
Awesome production mate, and good bike for the trip, I wonder why no one has ever done a trip on a BMW and called it something with Long Way 😜😂👌🏻 No, kidding aside, good job, looking forward to seeing the rest of them ☺️
Hi , we met at the Portree hotel Isle of sky 2021 in the morning getting our bikes ready.I had the old GS1150 in Yellow, and gave you the foot stand. ( blue carol nash) as your bike kept falling over. So you still have it? Lol
Hey mate! Great to hear from you. The foot stand was super helpful, thanks again for sending it my way. I must dig it out, I've moved back to NZ and need to find it in one of my boxes. No doubt I'll require it again. Hope you are well
Going to Ireland on the 22nd of July doing the Wild Atlantic way. 7 of us. For the Guinness. And the beautiful country. I’ve shared your utube on my page. Keep on doing what your doing.
@@macsclassicmotorcyclesclas2948 Brilliant mate, stunning driving down the west coast there. I did 3 weeks there last Oct/Nov and had a blast - albeit a bit chilly! Appreciate the share thank you, safe travels 😎
Hey Anthony. Basically I put together a proposal that outlined the content I could create for them on my planned trip in exchange for the use of a 850GSA. I then reached out to them on Facebook and asked if I could be sent the contact details for the necessary marketing manager to send over my proposal and they directed me to their U.K. division 😊
@@EscapeArtistMediaVideo ...I was referring to the dealership not giving you a good introduction to the bike. I was not criticising your footage. I thought they rushed going over the bike with you ...success and ride safe.

Beautiful bike! Beautiful adventure! Every biker's dream!
Thank you very much! The motorbike was definitely a dream to ride. It was a sad day when I had to return it back to BMW.

Great trip and adventure..very professionally done
Thanks Brian! Happy to hear you enjoyed the episode
Great video. What make are the bags you used for your clothing. They look super useful.
Cheers mate. Eagle Creek Packing Cubes, although the zips aren’t the best on them. I think Osprey do them also which may be better

How did you get BMW to lend you the bike? Do you have a personal contact inside the company?

@@EscapeArtistMediaVideo That's great thanks for the reply. Sent you an email.
Any chance of getting in touch, to help with future history of this bike. As we acquired this from BMW after your trip

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the introduction was quick in itself so there wasn't much more footage worth showing. Thank you for following!
