    Really enjoying this series, Think it makes a difference that you are releasing them in fairly quick succession. Did a trip to this area with some mates in September inspired in part by your 4 day trip last year and loved it. Cheers Tim. 👍

    Loving the vids Tim, Thanks! You inspired a mate and I to visit the Vosges last year, and whilst we stopped at Hartmans…. (Sorry I can’t remember how to spell the rest), we completely missed the trenches, so now we’ll have to go back!
    We stayed at the Hotel Col Du Bussang, recently under new management and they have put a lot of love into doing it up as a biker hotel, highly recommended. Keep the vids coming thanks!

    Great, loving this series Tim, especially the WW history. On my list to do a battlefields tour of northern France and Belgium. The M1000R looks like great fun. My question to you is, if you could choose again and money wasn’t a factor, which would you choose out of the M1000R and MT10SP?

    These videos are great, would love to see more next year! I think one of the issues with young people getting into biking, especially in the UK, is the licence roadmap and cost to it. Not a great proposition for younger generation.

    Talking of group or solo touring, my last two trips have been solo and I much prefer it - the ability to be completely selfish and the alone time is very cathartic.

      They’re on private farm land. The rest got filled in.
      There’s one in the fields just outside Dorking, on the left of Coldharbour lane.
      The one I could see from West Bank, is between the Priory school and Westcott Road. That was Brooms Farm and I played there as a kid.

    I know just 4 people (me included) that ride in my local area at 24. the issue is the licensing cost. not many want to fork out 4 figures for a bike license that's restricted up to 24 when you already have a car license that isnt restricted. People my age don't get biking, all they see is death and expense.

  • @DCGULL01
    @DCGULL01 8 месяцев назад +1

    Well, the BMW is doing well considering its a full blown track bike! But, based on your broad bike experience, you seem to make it work? You make it look easy. Crazy thought- what about any generation Ducati Diavel or Xdiavel. Roomy, who would even notice bags, top box 'n pillion? All the power & noted handling... I'd try it!

    • @timrodierides
      @timrodierides  8 месяцев назад +2

      I'd love to tour on a Diavel - preferably the V4 because it's a bit plusher and doesn't send quite as many jolts to your tailbone...

    Good stuff man! Just think, 50-60 years from now, someone will be doing a similar video from a cemetery in eastern Ukraine. History can be ugly, and unfortunately humans don't seem to always learn from history, and make the same mistakes over and over.
