Good evening, Mike. Yes I could see that situation scaring the crap out of anyone 😮 But all these banking institutions are controlled by the same people, so it’s not unusual that you would get the same messages for each one. It’s one big club and we ain’t in it. 🙌
Banks have never been the little guy's friend. Credit unions were created to fill the gap, but now it seems they run like the banks. We are just a number on their ledger.@mikesphilippineretirement
@@mikesphilippineretirement yes, that is better. I also don't do it. Make sure to check your cookies if these are still saved on your laptop. I have my usernames and passwords written down on several papers when I need them.
Someone getting one of your cards is one thing, getting all three is something else entirely. If they all are RF cards you just have to tap the machine with, odds are someone ran a scanner over your pocket in a crowd. Get a metal wallet to keep them in. If any of them don't have the RF tap feature, someone hacked your computer or gained fiscal access to all 3 cards in a very short amount of time. If you haven't used all 3 in the same place, I would assume your PC or home was invaded at some recent point.
@mikesphilippineretirement you can run a full scan in windows security center on your PC, the default is a quick scan, so change to full for a one time scan, it takes 1-2 hours, so let it run and check at the end if anything found, it gives you options to remove if any. Also run windows updates of course.
Don't use tappable or contactless cards. These are designed to help you spend your money more easily. As the saying goes "A fool and his money are easily parted". Use cards which require the manual input of a PIN number, I like spending money to be really difficult, it was really difficult to save it in the first place.
I travel a lot, I have had an RF wallet for a couple of years. Cheap insurance. Also watch the face of any ATM you use. There are several new stick on scanners out there that are hard to detect, they go right over the bank scanner and can be hard to spot. They allow scammers to gather card data for their later use. Some times being paranoid is a good thing.
Please don’t get sick in the Philippines 🇵🇭, if you stay in the Philippines please keep 600,000 pesos for medical emergency , this is the real life in Philippines 🇵🇭, if you can manage to leave Philippines 🇵🇭 to Guam or to Vietnam 🇻🇳 or to Thailand 🇹🇭 where medicine is far more affordable and hospital 🏥 is more Human friendly
@@randalsaladbar dear your insurance never work in philipinese, I tried that , they will ask you to pay up front and get reimbursed by your insurance company, in Philippines 🇵🇭 nothing works, so be ready for a hell of ride
My 1st concern would be how someone had access to all 3 of my debit card numbers. Maybe someone had access to them physically or maybe someone got into your digital wallet if you have them loaded into your computer. That needs to be discovered or it will happen again.
Damn Scary, This was my thought as well… what single source had all three of your cards data stored? Digital Wallet, World Remit are the two that jumps out ..
Mike saved all his ID and password in his browser, that's the "auto-save" feature! Someone hacked it. Luckly the 2-step-verification protected his assets.
I try not to use a debit card at all, neither have I used one in the US. It's only when I can't get cash any other way. My preferred method is a CREDIT CARD. Why? They have more protections than debit cards. Also, I keep EMERGENCY CASH on hand to make using a debit card less necessary.
My bank contacts me through email and text. It costs to maintain a U.S. phone number, but at times like this, it's a necessity! My credit card and T-Mobile bills are paid through my bank. So glad the hacks weren't successful! 😲
@@mikesphilippineretirement alot of people get viruses thru Facebook or get scam hacked. Most of the time they just get the Facebook hacked but if unlycky they can take control over more.

I’m in Canada (my partner is from the Philippines) and my credit card has a charge of over $800 the other day for some tourist company in Alberta! After a few phone calls to my bank and the travel company it was all sorted out, but the person had booked tickets under their own name and their address (which was relatively local to me here in Ontario). Needless to say I stopped in the police station on my way home from work with this info. Not a nice feeling when you see something not right with a bank account. Always check regularly!
@JeffBrandenburg-bp4dm how did you know it’s actually East Indian, not Nigerian or East European? That was racist. Glad you’re not in the Philippines. Just stay in Canada.
Re Banks - I use BOA, I haven't had any problems over the last 10 years. I have a China Bank account and my wife has a BDO account - I use Xoom and Remitly to send money to the BDO account and Wire Transfers for larger amounts to China Bank. - I use my Capital One card here for major purchases - furniture/appliances/TVs - Cap1 does not charge Foreign Transaction Fees - so I make any purchases in pesos, not dollars - you get a much better exchange rate than the stores will give you.
It's always a big worry for expats, that you are going to scammed or locked out of your accounts. I have vpns on both my laptop and my phones. I also have 2 simcards one for my home country, and one for the Philippines. I also don't have any banking apps stored on my phones. I use my laptop only for banking. My accounts are 2 factor authentication and also send a code to my UK phone to access. Worthwhile also noting that other channels have recommended access to Remitly and Wise as backups. This is a good subject to discuss 👍
"I use my laptop only for banking" or "I use only my laptop for banking" ? Word order matters! But good advice re VPN for phone. Banking apps on phones seems a weakness.
@@CharlesWhite-j4f I was in a hurry. I should have been clear - when accessing my bank account, I only use my laptop to do so. I do not use my phone or any other device.
I generally switch on my computer with dread, fearful that something has gone wrong with some account or other. When everything is OK I breathe a sigh of relief
WOW, sorry this happen Mike. My morning routine is just like yours, check all the accounts everyday. This happens to me when I clear my cache and browsing data and I just did this last week before we move to the Philippines in 4 weeks. After you clear the data which does improve performance and you first try to access any sites it will not recognize your computer, basically starting from scratch like you just bought a new PC. Then, I got the same alerts from Schwab, USAA, NFCU, Chase, etc. I have a US Verizon Phone number so I get these 2FA codes and Ghen and I will keep these US cell numbers for this exact reason. This is good info to know Mike and definitely watch for any hacks.
Mike, I had someone hacked my Social Security account and tried to change the banking information. Thankfully, Social Security sent me notification of the transaction, and I was able to stop it before I lost any money.
I had to use my credit card and let the server take it in back. Well later that week I was checking my bank account and saw three small charges of $2-3 on it. I called them and they told me that’s how they see it if is still active. Then they would start with bigger things and money advances. I do like you do Mike, not daily but 1-2 times a week I check my bank and credit card accounts.
I would recommend that connect all of your accounts. That will allow you to move money electronically between those accounts. Then get rid of a couple of debit cards and only use credit cards. Also set your credit cards to send you notifications whenever the card is used within minutes.
I truly believe there is internal fraud happening within the Philippines banks. My schwab debit card got hacked as well. It was a couple dollars. Schwab alerted me and froze my card. I never used this debit card other than the Philippines. Mostly ATMs. After I returned home a few weeks later, a fraudulent transaction occurred. Kinda peculiar.
Well done Mike.. we enjoyed the energy behind your video you look very well rested stress-free what a great day after getting it all behind you I'll bet ..$50 a month well spent brother.. I can imagine your shirt must have been just drenched in sweat when you opened up and checked your accounts.. but I'll bet you slept well after it was all cleared up...
For the phone I have a dual SIM mobile phone and have my original UK SIM in which I have kept the account and also have a Philippines SIM in it which is default for calls, texts and Internet in the Philippines. Any texts from my banks will come in on the UK SIM which I will receive as don't have to keep remembering to switch on a separate phone. When paying for anything using a bank card never let it out of sight, let them bring the card payment machine to you don't let them take it away.
Or transfer money from a bank account to a prepaid card such as revolut when you want to buy something. Keep a bank account with a high/higher balance secure and don't take the card out with you. Just keep a small amount on the prepaid card and top it up when you need to buy something more expensive.
HI.. what kind of plan do you have with your UK sim provider to allow you to receive txt from your UK Bank whilst in Philippines? Does this require aspecial plan? I currently with '3' in UK and planning on coming out in a coulple weeks.Any advice certainly greatful!
My Filipina wife here had her FB content creator page hacked! They stold the Page, so after 4 days and about 60 hours of trying, we had to change all logins, and start a whole new page. She had spent almost 3 years of hard work to build her page, and now she's started all over again.🤬🤬🤬
I work in IT. Use strong passwords, and change then periodically (once a year even). You can generate and store your passwords in a password safe. I use KeePass but there are many good password applications out there. Just make sure you read the reviews and you'll be okay. Also, choose a very good password to get into your password safe program.
Someone in a store could have cloned your card. The Banks probably saw some suspicious transactions, perhaps in a strange location, and decided to lock the account until you got in touch with them.
Consumer Advocate Clark Howard recommends having a dedicated device to use for banking and other financial services. Never use the same device for surfing or other internet access. Get yourself an IPad or good tablet and use it for financial transactions. Then turn it off.
They’re not friendly for sim card removal, but, IPhones will allow you to receive and send texts in real time, as long as you’re connected to the internet, without charge.

Hi Mike. Thanks 👍 for making this important informative video. I agree that it's very important to keep your American phone number always active. Take care and keep up the great work.
Good evening! Sometimes if you normally access your credit Cards or Bank in your laptop then if you access it on your phone it will ask you for verification, that is why my husband and I, use a US phone number so we can verify our identification. Do you use VPN, sometimes it affects it too.
@@mikesphilippineretirement I have a US TMobile #, but I can not open a text because to see a code because the number does not work outside of the USA. Also those calling and data plans, only work for a maximum of 90 days.
I would make sure your laptop is up to date, run an anti virus and malware scan. I'd also try and figure out what ATM's and stores you have used all 3 cards in. Having the info on 3 cards stolen at one time is pretty serious. It sounds like either your laptop is compromised or a place you have used the cards has a scanner.
Kind of a bad situation for sure Mike. Here's what we do. We keep a Canadian address with Merlyn's son back in Vancouver and both she and I keep our Canadian phone plans just in case something like that arises. I always keep my Canadian phone charged and turned on, but shut off the Data which allows the (what seems more and more frequent) security codes to be sent, as well as my son back home and I occasionally text one another. I know we can drop the Data completely if we want to save a bit more but our plans aren't that much cheaper without it.
Same thing happened to my Schwab account and I live in the States. I canceled my card and requested a new card. I never do auto passwords on my PC that's the quickest way to get your info hacked.
I always heard and I just installed it on my phone a VPN link. And so, Any Internet use is totally isolated . As well as it’s possible to have a bug on your computer that’s copying all your keystrokes. There is a program that can tell if that exists… you should also have that on your tablet or computer that’s what I did.
I put a VPN on my iPad. I went to Dumaguete for a month and stayed at a hotel. I used my iPad on the hotel open Wi-Fi to pay some bills and did online banking. No hacks and no problems because of the VPN.
@@Koza480 it’s good that you put it on your iPad which I as well use. But it doesn’t cost you anything more to add the same program to your phone with the same protection.. The app is transferable to other devices which I’ve also done myself. Because I pay and use my phone that has all my credit cards wherever I go.. and I don’t want someone hacking in there. Plus if your bank sees someone from a foreign country using your account, it has happened in the past the bank has frozen that account because of that.
I agree with the man below. NEVER let your computer store a password! Facebook is a big privacy problem. As a matter of fact I would have a seperate laptop for only my financial transactions and use a VPN on it besides
Also! Debit cards are the biggest security link to your account. Only carry them when you need to use them. Use a Credit Card instead and send yourself cash when needed by way of Remitly or some other source
Hey Mike, for the hacking issue, this is probably a computer hack. Personally I would reinstall windows and all the software from scratch. You can have your PC scanned by a professional. I dunno if it's available for US debit cards, but some banks allows to make virtual debit cards that you only can use once to make a single payment. This way, if someone hacks the virtual card, it is useless for him. By the way, it seems these are growing new bank security standards being implemented worldwide. It started in Europe, and now banks everywhere are following suit. Unfortunately, you'll need to renew that security check regularly, sometimes every three months, depending on the bank's level of paranoia. It's annoying and definitely not customer-friendly
When you see a couple of small transactions, the institution is trying to transfer funds to a new external account to link them. Once the value of those transactions are confirmed then the institution knows that the requestor has access to both accounts and larger funds can then be transferred
We use Google Fi on a Motorola phone that works great for $25 per month.I almost went T-Mobile until a friend told me about Google Fi. All the other information you presented in your video seems accurate to me. We do have a US PO BOX but it's connected to a street address so no problems there so far. Great info!
Somebody is phishing in your account. I don't use debt cards here, it's cash or credit card. I have the credit card companies send one time code to my daughters phone and she sends it to me, it's been working good
I tried to purchase a global SIM card when I was there in Cebu. Most of the Cell stores in the Mall was asking for about 100bucks. And they were acting somewhat shady . Did you purchase your Sims in the US?
I'm in the US, most financial institutions are going to two part authentication, where they text a code which is good for 10 minutes or so. Never use debit card for any purchase, even have friends who use pre-loaded debit to limit any losses. I have son in Thailand who I receive texts every week or 2 asking to confirm if he spent money somewhere. Yeah, he still uses home address and my phone as backup.
I think more shocking is your thumbnail guy has 11 fingers! :) I have 2 US bank accounts... Schwab is one for the fee refunding and a little investing. When I cam here, I brought my $20 a month Google Fi phone/plan with me and includes my US number. It has access in the Phils via towers here, but because it defaults to WiFi for calls, I never have issues with the one time codes for this reason. Also, my phone is a Google Pixel... and it has an extra sim card slot which has my TM Philippines number which I almost never use. So one phone, two numbers, US and Phils, all is well. I do not have a local bank account, nor do I think I ever will have need of one. Bought a new car a few months back and wired the money to the dealership... smooth sailing. Great vids guys, and I notice the quality bump! Keep up the great work.
the login gives you three times to login. if you can't get it right, it closes you down for an hour then you can restart. If more problems call the security team of the bank.
Two factor authentication. You didn't need to call or make contact with them on those accounts. They would have texted you a code. Many times, this happens when they detect logins to your accounts that are not recognized!
Dutch banks are usually contacted by (intl) phone call. Their fraude dept is available 24/7. Another possibility is usually a chat function. We don't deal with cheques anymore in Europe, since the turn of the century, so I'm not too worried about that. Random fraude suspicion, now that's a different story unfortunately. Based on behaviour on the account, and yes also location CAN be a problem for some banks. Dutch bank however will never try to contact you by phone. They will send you and in-app message or email with the request you call them!
does anyone know if any banks that will let you do EMAIL VERIFICATION instead of text or phone verification. that would fix a lot of problems people are having. I had a local credit union that would let you do email verification of transactions. but it was random. they wouldn't let you choose how you did verification. sometimes it was text, sometimes it was email.
Hi Mike sorry to hear that , but I was curious T-mobile told me they will close my phone account if they find out I am abroad for good or take up to 3 months and then close. Also I got a price of 80$ international service 5$ off for direct payment so 75$ per month , how do you get service from T-mobile for 50$ a month 2 lines ? I also have remitly for getting money every month , and have wise as well . Thats my biggest worry not being able to get money , have a very nice rest of you day frank.
Great learning experience, Mike, thanks. How often do you even use a debit card in the Philippines? Is that how you draw out cash from ATMs? I* use mine mostly for online purchases through known merchants.
That happens to me all too often mostly with Bank of America when it happens, they cancel the CC and send a new one with no choice in the matter. I get alerts by phone and PC. Thieves don't even have to have your card as the smart ones use a random number generator until they get a good hit in a fishing charge. I'm in Florida considering a trip to the PH's even here it's a PITA! Good luck. Great job on the videos!
Mike get a RF frequency blocker for people copy credit and debit info by simple walking next to you or you're are in close proximity to credit/Debit information
Another question: on your phones : with your American phone number with T Mobile can your American phone number have an esim card for the country you are in. Im 70 yr old female who will be traveling solo
It's paramount to have double authentication now-a-days. Security measures need to be upped on all accounts because of ever increasing hacking that is happening. Also, I suggest while in the Philippines, you have two phones - one that you can potentially lose, and the other with your banking stuff on it in a safe place at all time. So if you take a hike, take the 2nd replaceable phone... With the advent of AI, Mike, you need to employ every security method possible to secure your accounts with 2nd and even 3rd tier methods - text identification is the simplest.
Simple. "SECURITY UPDATE" and most times it will effect many/most financial institutions at the same time. Probably a new threat was detected, a security patch was developed, and now you need to use a more advanced log in to confirm you are who you say you are.. That usually only happens once, when a new security patch is applied to your bank. I wouldn't stress too much,
Here in the UK, every time I use my debit card, I get a notification through my banking app that requires me to approve or decline each transaction. Also if you have a US or UK sim card, you can set up call forwarding to your philippines or Thailand phone number.
😮Damn, all 3 debit card accounts though? Sounds like someone stole your identity for them to have access to 3 different accounts. Unreal and the nervous breakdown it would’ve caused me is unthinkable. I’d be beyond furious. Glad you got it all squared away and keep those cards locked as you said and unlocked only to make a purchase. Sorry for your troubles Mike.
Hi Mike. Love your channel as always. Great topic too. Banking! Having returned to the UK in March this year to see my family and attend my dearly departed mother. Upon returning home to NZ I suddenly found when I tried to access my UK bank accounts, I couldn't no matter how I tried. Eventually I phoned them which is a nightmare in itself. In an unapologetic and matter of fact way, I was told that all 3 of UK accounts had been closed. They never contacted me either by mail or email despite them telling me that they had. That made me livid. To no avail. They blamed Brexit as the reason which occurred back in 2016. Limp excuse if ever I heard one. Anyway that means despite everything I am now trying to get my frozen accounts money sent to me now that I no longer have any money accessible in the UK. Having banked with this bank, one of the Big 4 banks in the UK without notice or care, my 60 years with that same bank amounts for Nothing. Outrageous behavior and all because they Can. Just hoping that the money they hold from my accounts will eventually be released so I can forget the whole disgusting episode. Shameful getting screwed for no other reason other than residing in another country. Appalling so pleased that you raised this very important subject. Thanks Mike for the excellent work you continue to put out on your terrific channel. All the best to you and Janet.

Hello sir, I have a few few questions for you today after watching this video many times I would really like to see a video blog from you about how securely you can get your retirement money or money from America into the Philippines without too much trouble I heard you mention something about paying a fee for getting mail from the US to you costing like $10 a month. Maybe I’m just hearing things, but I would like to know more about that. And do not have your login and password your laptop Did you have to buy to run 220 V or did you bring something from America that ran on 110 I’m sure I’ll have more questions for you, but I actually like your videos very much
I, so far, am keeping a US number. My carrier offers international service very inexpensively ($25/month). I converted that SIM to an eSIM and then installed a Globe SIM in the physical slot for local calls/texts.

I have Wells, Schwab. Cap One, and amx. I live in Valencia. I have been dealing with many of the same issues as you. I tried to get a t moble acct. last Feb while in California and was told that it would only work for three months abroad without any domestic calls on the phone it would be canceled. They said it was a new policy. I went to three t mobile locations. I would like to meet with you when you have time and compare notes. I've been dealing with this for over three years.
Try setting up Wifi calling on your phone and get a VPN installed using an American IP address. Put it in airplane mode (so you're not using the local cell tower) and make a call to the US. That should qualify as a domestic call. I use Mint Mobile (which is a subsidiary of T-Mobile) and that works for me ( I don't have an international plan).
Mike, you can lock most cards while not in use, very easy to go to your account and you'll find how yo do it. Only takes a minute or 2 to lock and unlock. which stops any use. I had the samr thing happen with two debit cards here and a credit card. How are you having the cards mailed to you, DHL or Fed ex, and how much are the charges?
Absolutely...but the phone itself must be an International phone that has dual sim slots. I'm an iPhone user but bought a Samsung Intentional phone in the States before making my last PI trip. I arrived there with my US sim; went to a sim store in the mall once there and added a PI sim. Both worked like a charm...
What is realy mind boggeling for me is why i as card holder cant have the option to demand always pin code for live purchase. Here in Sweden it is random if below 50$ or something. It should be always demanded! Same with online and the extra security numbers, + the bank id validation that we have, i want the option to enforce always bank ID validation, but i dont :(
My daughter started her first savings account when she was eight years old. It was dormant for too long and the state of California stole her piggy bank money. I started her account so she could learn about money and banking. Lesson learned but not the one I intended.
Union Bank of the Philippines "lost" $1000 of my money. Somebody bought a bunch of electronics. The bank wouldn't cooperate. Later, when it was too late, it was an insider of the bank that robbed me. The bank was covering up that one of their employees had done it. I changed my debit card and keep it locked . I never saw a penny back. Always have a joint account in the Philippines. If somebody dies it's 6 months of paperwork to the BIR, buying insurance and much more to get the money. Many Filipinos just give up because they throw so much paperwork at you. BDO bank wanted me to wait 3 months to check me out to have the privilege to bank with them. I filled out the paperwork and never returned.
Hey Mike. Just a couple of things and I apologize if you already know. If you log into your accounts using different browsers or a different computer, your financial institutions will often say that is an unrecognized device and will ask to send you a text or email with a code to verify it is you. Also, if you clean your browser's cache or you have a security program that does it, it will often delete the code the financial institution places on your browser to recognize you...then text, email procedure again. Lastly, regarding your CU, can't you just make World Remit a payee on your bill pay system and transfer money to yourself that way? Take care.
Good topics on this video. My financial institutions are using newer processes with multi-authentication that frequently do send a numeric code to my known phone number. I also more often run into issues when my VPN is turned on. Obviously, they are using more complex security than just validating to an IP. I do have more trust on my iPhone but recent scammers have become very good with phishing email and text. I do like my AT&T International Plan which so far has easily allowed me to use my U. S. phone while in the Philippines at a reasonable cost. Thanks.
Sorry for your troubles, Mike. Dual verification has become the norm. My bank offers text or call for secondary verification. I choose text, and it pops up right on the screen to copy. You're not finished with this. Further investigation is required. I had this happen 15 years ago in Thailand. It turned out it was my girlfriend, and we were at a point where her coming to Canada was being discussed.
See if you can find what area the attempted purchase was made, and if any family member was in that area,3 at once sounds like someone was out and needed cash ,but I don't know your situation but you have start ruling out locally then move to other possibilities .oh and one more thing is the resetting of the password might have been done to change pin so could use the card ,not knowing it had triggered a warning on failed pin attempts .

That's why I never use those phone wallets ever. I always figured if they could jailbreak your phone.they would access all of your accounts in one fell swoop.
In my opinion, the banks close your account if someone is trying to steal from you. Then you become a risk for them, because they may be held responsible.
They close your account for one and only one reason: they don't make enough money of your account. They want you to have large balance, loans, active credit cards, mortgages etc. If they don't make money from you they will close

I carry an RFI blocker card in my wallet. It looks like a credit card. Wasn't too costly either.

After a few phone calls to my bank and the travel company it was all sorted out, but the person had booked tickets under their own name and their address (which was relatively local to me here in Ontario).

I had to use my credit card and let the server take it in back. Well later that week I was checking my bank account and saw three small charges of $2-3 on it. I called them and they told me that’s how they see it if is still active. Then they would start with bigger things and money advances. I do like you do Mike, not daily but 1-2 times a week I check my bank and credit card accounts.
checking your accounts should be a normal thing we do. once a week or everyday just do it.

@@Koza480 it’s good that you put it on your iPad which I as well use. But it doesn’t cost you anything more to add the same program to your phone with the same protection..

Another question: on your phones : with your American phone number with T Mobile can your American phone number have an esim card for the country you are in. Im 70 yr old female who will be traveling solo
it could but I use a different phone for using a Philippine sim and phone number
With the advent of AI, Mike, you need to employ every security method possible to secure your accounts with 2nd and even 3rd tier methods - text identification is the simplest.
thanks for the info Steve
A lot of banks, including my own, have two step authentication. They are doing this to protect from hackers.

Thanks.
thanks for the info Keith
Sorry for your troubles, Mike. Dual verification has become the norm. My bank offers text or call for secondary verification. I choose text, and it pops up right on the screen to copy. You're not finished with this. Further investigation is required. I had this happen 15 years ago in Thailand. It turned out it was my girlfriend, and we were at a point where her coming to Canada was being discussed.
thanks for sharing
Sorry your girlfriend did this to you . ❤
@@mikesphilippineretirementHope all your accomplishments are secure now . I have known coworkers who had their phones hacked. ❤
@@lindawilson795 No worries. I never would have met the beautiful wife I have now if not for her error in judgment.
Hi Mike - Great Video - I feel your pain - this happened to me but luckily i had my Australian Phone On and got messages of transactions - I have 3 Bank Accounts- BUT NOW I have less than 10$ in each Debit / Credit Card - I have a main account on each and Transfer an Amount before i need to Use It - Anyway if anyone says it won’t happen to me - IT WILL Eventually -
thanks for the info
Make sure you have a RF ID wallet to block people from getting your card scanned
That's scary stuff Mike! I would be freaking out if that happened to me. I hope you find out what happened.
just get new cards
What phone service do you use to be able to make international calls with your American phone? I have been told to use Skype or another internet phone service.
T Mobile
@@mikesphilippineretirement Thank you I will look into that.
That's why I never use those phone wallets ever. I always figured if they could jailbreak your phone.they would access all of your accounts in one fell swoop.
good point
In my opinion, the banks close your account if someone is trying to steal from you. Then you become a risk for them, because they may be held responsible.
Don't give personal info on RUclips. Don't advertise your banks.
Banks communicates with other banks. when one bank believe someone is trying to steal from a customer. They notify other banks.
@@JR-vs1zl Yes, not a good idea🤦♂
Just as an insurance company wont insure your home for fire if you are careless with matches.
They close your account for one and only one reason: they don't make enough money of your account. They want you to have large balance, loans, active credit cards, mortgages etc. If they don't make money from you they will close
Mike, a piece of advice. If I were you I would freeze my credit with all three credit reporting agencies. That keeps people from getting credit in your name. Glad that you made it through unscathed. Good Luck to the Browns. No offense but Go Penn State!!!!
thanks for the info. Penn St really hahaha
Mike it’s 2 step authentication. It’s a safety feature.
Sounds like you or some of your services got skimmed or hacked mate :( Does not a phone with dual sim slot solve that problem for you with bringing or leaving extra phone? I whould do a clean format on my pc and reinstall all fresh. When that done change passwords on my emails and digital wallets to.
And hope you are all in the clear.
thanks for the info
@@mikesphilippineretirement No problem friend we all need to help each other out against this stuff.
Happend me twice, but only when shopping online from legit sites, but if that site got hacked they have your info. Always got all money back even if it took a few weeks.
@@mikesphilippineretirement And never let anyone walk away with your card, not in the Phillipines or in the US simply noware, not even a waiter, follow that dude like a Hawk.
