Good advice. I met my GF's parents shortly after we started dating and they were happy to meet me. After about 6 months of off and on as I travel a lot for social media obligations we finally decided to rent a place together and see if things will work out for us. I travel to Calbayog tomorrow and on my way pick her up in Tacloban on my way through. I think the moral of this comment is that if you don't try then you will not succeed in a relationship and there are cultural, language , customs and more times than not age gaps that make a relationship a bit difficult to begin with. Don't give up because they are simply bumps in the road. I was married to a Chinese lady for 20 years so have been through this already and it is a journey that takes time. It just doesn't happen over night.

Worst date I had in the US, believe it was in the paper (was back when internet was by aol...lol) didn't ask for a picture...big mistake, she was a pig.....as you stated, was a gentleman and finished the date (dinner at hooters) but never again, always required a pic after that. Dating sites are generally a horrible place to meet anyone. I tried one or two of them and mainly found them to be full of dysfunctional people. I talked with people for quite while before I asked them to meet. It took less than a week, generally, to determine NAW this is not a good enough connection to even try. For most of my life I simply met people when I was out doing a hobby or whatever. If something clicked great. If nothing clicked great. Meeting someone in an artificial set up hardly ever works. Many women feel just as awkward in these settings as we do......and even worse most men think if they buy a good dinner that they are gonna get so late night entertainment. So the whole scenario is a shortcut to nothing. There are no shortcuts to good relationships.
Dating in the US, especially for old guys, is a crap shoot and dating sites are not the way to go, IMO. Thanks for saying that all Filipinas are not gold diggers. I take public transport because I have bad vision and chose to give up driving. My pinay doesn't know how to drive. Cheap transportation is only the boon. My bus pass is 33 a month and my wife rides free since she works at the hospital. We take Uber occasionally for weather and Costco, keep that under 50 a month... Yeah, I had something like that. Happened to me not quite as bad as taking three meals home but first date she picks one of the most expensive restaurants here in Michigan. It’s happening all over the country. But those days are gone. I have a beautiful girlfriend and Dumaguete I just was there for a month And I’m going to retire in February moving there. Just have to finish getting my ducks in a row. Anyway, these women are all narcissist that take advantage of men for food. They don’t care about you. They just care about themselves. She probably didn’t ask you about yourself your life and so on because narcissist are like that they just-blame everyone gaslight everyone and get what they can get.

Thanks Mike, informative video. I think it same on nearly all the dating sites in USA. You can have great first date with USA gals & many times they ghost you anyway. If the woman is good looking she thinks she can be highly selective. So they all I think wanting top earners & probably 6'2"+ guys. But I do even know friends who are millionaires & 6'2"+ & those guys get ghosted too. So it just really sucks for guys in USA.

Hi, I explicitly asked the GM of the PRA , Mr. Roberto Zozobrado , during my oath taking ceremony - part of getting your retirement visa - if I now could apply for a Senior Citizens ID and the answer was a definite NO ! This is only for Philippino citizens. So, either he is wrong or Heidi is. I suggest Heidi gets an official statement from the PRA . ( I live here for 47 years and try to not break any rules ..)

As a man i never ask to go 50/ 50 but i do have some demands and a big one is that she try and help whenever possible, however possible.

Thats a hilarious dating story about Olive Garden. Worst date I had in the US, believe it was in the paper (was back when internet was by aol...lol) didn't ask for a picture...big mistake, she was a pig.....as you stated, was a gentleman and finished the date (dinner at hooters) but never again, always required a pic after that. Lots of dating pitfalls in the US. Especially if you are older and dating.
Wish I had some of this information before I met my Filipina LDR who is now my wife here in the US.

Dating sites are generally a horrible place to meet anyone. I tried one or two of them and mainly found them to be full of dysfunctional people. I talked with people for quite while before I asked them to meet. It took less than a week, generally, to determine NAW this is not a good enough connection to even try. For most of my life I simply met people when I was out doing a hobby or whatever. If something clicked great. If nothing clicked great. Meeting someone in an artificial set up hardly ever works. Many women feel just as awkward in these settings as we do......and even worse most men think if they buy a good dinner that they are gonna get so late night entertainment. So the whole scenario is a shortcut to nothing. There are no shortcuts to good relationships.

You compare Vegas to the Philippines! In Vegas, scamming is the business, basically the culture. Girls grow up in this. In the Philippines, as a western guy, the assumption is that you are already rich. For an interested Filipina, she will be automatically the one losing if she plays games with you.

I take public transport because I have bad vision and chose to give up driving. My pinay doesn't know how to drive. Cheap transportation is only the boon. My bus pass is 33 a month and my wife rides free since she works at the hospital. We take Uber occasionally for weather and Costco, keep that under 50 a month... That Lady you were referring to suffers from GPS.

I call them serial daters. They meet you eat , drink and get what they can for many dates and do not care about the person. I have met a couple females like that through POF, I am friends with one still , and might be because I called her on it second time out lol I was on POF 20 years ago and so many fake old photo's they did not even look the same when we met in person. I still look there every once in a while and it is the same old faces, and same old 320 year old pictures. And it is not free any more. I would never pay to play on that page

places in bacolod and cebu don't have a lot of atmosphere to me but then again i'm used to vegas. Also seeing slot machines with like 5 peso bets and stuff 10 cents is weird. You won't find many hundred dollars slot machines here.
