1. A sort of fender would help reduce the hay dropping on that tire, and 2, if those wheel bolts stick thru the flange very far when the wheel is bolted on, they will act like fingers, grabbing hay and winding it around that axle shaft. So make sure the bolts are only long enough to go into the flange, not thru it or just barely. I'm glad you got the machine back in service and that neither of you got injured working on it. Farmer Dave
I was thinking the same thing. A two piece, easily removable shield that basically touches the wheel., maybe even a rubber seal on it. But with the age of the machine don’t know if it’d be worth it
Melroe bobcat had some what the same issue do things wrapping around the axles on bobcats. What we did was to cut a piece of 3” PVC pipe to fit from the frame to the wheel hub then cut that piece in half and install it over the frame and secure it with two large hose clamps. This helped keep the seal from damage and usually easier to clean.
It is so nice to see a RUclips channel that is a wonderful clean channel. I love your videos and really appreciate you making them for us to watch. Also you can not have to many dogs, the hardest thing is when they grow old and your last dog passesaway otherwise they are all love and hugs. Thank you for the videos.
Hi Taylor. Thanks for letting us visit your home and for meeting your two beautiful dogs. They were sure glad to see you. We burn wood too to heat our house. In fact I am sitting in front of my wood burning stove and watching your awesome video. I am sure Brent appreciates the fact that you can fit into those tight spaces so that he can get his repairs done. When you take us along for your rides it’s great to see all of that beautiful scenery so if you see a new house being built close to you don’t worry it’s just me moving to Maine. Keep that positive attitude of yours and keep farming. 🐄🚜🌽😉
Greetings from Germany, close to Luxembourg in the Eifel Mountains.. We are having Horses (and two dogs) to care for and we are making Firewood to heat up the house in cold seasons. We own and use two tractors, one 60yrs old IHC Mc Cormick D-439 (German build) and one 30 yrs old Zetor 7245 (Czech manufacturer) to work with several machines. Nothing real big, but we love it living in the country Nice to see how things work in Maine. Have a good time and fun! 😎
Good to see the bale machine repaired. Thanks for showing a little bit of your family farm. I noticed the shaft going to the transmission on the big tractor is rusting. I would clean that and wrap or cover with grease.
Wow. An old-school lug wrench. Hard to believe that cars used to come with one of those. (I had a couple, now long since gone.) The next iteration was the almost useless thing that looked like a crowbar with a socket stamped on the curvy end. I finally settled for a 3/4" breaker bar, extension and an appropriately-sized socket. Oh, and a big screwdriver to pry off the hub caps, but hub caps seem to have disappeared as a wheel ornaments over the years too. That said, I haven't had to change a tire in years. Just slow leaks where I fired up the compressor, filled the tire, and drove to the tire shop. There's a spare tire in or around the car somewhere that I'd have to look for if it was needed. . .
I loved getting to see ya'lls place again. I was sitting here thinking what a great idea it would be for you to raffle off your old truck!🤔🤔🤔🤔😁👍👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙏🙏🙏🙏🚜🐄🐄🐄
Thanks for another video, you said if you had a dollar for every time you cleaned out that tire you would be rich, I would say you attitude and ambition make you wealthy beyond measure!!!!!
I love your straightforward approach to things. It's refreshing. Just a simple way of life. I was wondering about the bearings you were greasing. Either grease gun doesn't pump very much each time you hear the sound, or those bearings were bone dry , but anyway, keep up the good work. Thanks for posting❤
A couple of drops of oil on those wheel lug nuts would make it a whole lot easier to remove and replace those bolts. It’s great you remove that hay behind those hubs. It saves those wheel seals. Great job. ! 🚜🚜🚜🇺🇸
I just found your channel iv been watching American farming channels for years . Your channel is great .nice to see a woman doing man tasks .love the tractor content
Glad that yall got the bale unroller up & running! Tks for letting us tag along to ur family farm and meet the dynamic duo!! The best repair job is when the problem fixes itself!!! And those two doggos looked like high-energy mischief on 8 legs!!! lol
That’s sure is a nice looking old ford you have there. Not many of them around anymore. Hope you got your tractor all straightened out. Thanks for the video. Have a good weekend
Great stuff Taylor!! Thank you for sharing your journey!! You have a beautiful home and some nice dogs!!! Please be careful and God bless you and your family !!!! Eddy
Loved this one. A nice change of scenery. I would love to get some maple syrup for my pancakes. The bale unroller is an interesting machine. Never herd of a thing like that.
YOU say WE who is the We? family? Boyfriend? Girlfriend? I`m sure others have the same question. Just curious I mean you become part of our lives in a real way love your vids !!
Hi taylor! Hey on the seat saftey switch check that the switch it self is clean and pluged in all the way. And wrap dome black tape around the conector so it dosent get wet! Csn also pit some dilect grease so it wont get rust and make the conection bad! And wgat beautiful dogs!
Hi Tay. I'm in a wheelchair and have very long hair. That is exactly what my tires look like. I have to have it cleaned out every few months or the front wheels won't turn. The struggle is real! Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Love your videos. You are an amazing young lady...so will to do whatever needs doing...and so knowledgeable. Clean cut decent woman who doesn't use her cuteness to make her life
Nice video guys. Love your mechanical tutorials Taylor and watching you and Brent getting stuck in. You both are an awesome team well done 👏. Regards pat Brazil.
Hi Taylor one thing on your pick up truck? You should keep half a tank and no less. In case you get stranded, you won't, you'll run out of gas? They always told me to always keep a full tank. And don't let it get below. I half a tank That was a nice day but cold better then windy
TIM from Canada, you need to take it outside on a nice day and pressure wash it do this in the morning after you have used it, wash it down leave it in the sun then at night time when you’re ready to use it, it is clean and ready to go.. if you have a small piece of rubber, you can cut a strip that is the same length and width as the inside of your track this way it will not bind up or take a piece of plastic wrap it around and use tape or something just to keep it out.. another thing piece of plexiglass cut it the width of the top rail this way you can put it on drill some holes use ties to keep it secure….. small piece of board would work just runs some tape around it. Lots of things you can do if you have the right piece of plastic or would that would fit on top of your rail?
Before every winter change diesel fuel filters, and every few years clean the strainer in the bottom of the tank if it has one. Winter blend fuel also helps tremendously. Just a tech tip from a retired (1970- 2017) Mercedes star/BMW master trchnician. Love your channel Tay 💚 please farm safe 🐮🪵🪓
Morning Tay! That's what happens when you take something to get it looked at, you can never get it to repeat the problem! Great looking dogs! Used to raise goldens. They were fun, but a lot of work. If you put something on that gate, you can pull it open without having to bail water. If you use a chain, you can't push it closed but the water will be down and you can close it manually. Someone wanted to play fetch...!
Thanks Tay, I was getting nervous when you were down in that pit. I like your pocket knife, it looks like a parrot and that’s the first time I have seen the dogs. Stay safe. 👍👏🙏🐄
Thanks for sharing another awesome video again Taylor. Doing your own repairs on the farm must save you a small fortune. Isn't it great when you go home and the dogs are so pleased to see you can't help but make you smile. Try spraying the seat switch with wd40 it will drive out the moisture. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Great multitasking. Just like a farmer should be able to do. Glad you fixed the hay roller. Stay warm and safe. Frostbite is very real. Stay warm and God Bless.
Good morning Tay ☀️ Glad you got the bale unroller fixed. Nice place your family has there and cute pups. Wood heat is the best grew up burning wood. Yes the seat emergency switches act up a lot on our 50 hp JD compacted as well. Stay warm sweetheart 🤗💕
Taylor, I think you are right about you Kubota seat problem, especially with the ripped seat cover. I bet that foam is like sitting on a wet sponge. If you need the tractor when it is going to be cold I would set a concrete block or something heavy on the seat so the switch freezes in the right position and the tractor will work. Take care
If you put like a fender over the wheel you could avoid the hay getting locked behind the wheel. Just an idea to help solve your issue with the hay binding behind the wheel.

Look for an invoice in the mail with all of the viewers listed under labor by .08 hours of work. Obviously I'm kidding, hopefully though the Kubota stays fixed. Nice other Fords yah wll got.
I have an idea maybe a solution to the problem with that wheel getting clogged up you need to get a piece of steel weld a sickle bar tooth on it so it cuts the hay as it wraps around it
Love the video there of uh Showing your hometown and your farm and yeah. then three dogs they are quite the characters golden retrievers are so much energy and fun quite the nice dogs only problem they're not much of A guard dog I think they're thief came around they would help to see if carrying the stuff away good seeing the scenery around heading home you got a pretty area up there I burn wood myself too love that wood heat

It is not a seat sensor or any other sensor in my opinion; otherwise you would not be able to start the tractor. Maybe not getting enough fuel. Might be a carb adjustment. Unless you have a tire changer, I would advise taking the tires to a tire center and have them change them. I like your wreath. Why not keep it up until it gets ugly.

I know one thing, farmers are the hardest working people out there! Working horses with Jim works his off, and so does Taylor and Brent!
When I saw Tays girls pocket knife I giggled a little bit. Thanks you two

You guys should get a sump pump. About $70. Lower it in with a rope, turn it on, dry in 5 minutes.
Yes. That water level could rise anytime unexpectedly.

Hello Taylor greetings from Virginia❤❤❤❤❤
You need to rig up a fender for that side to cover the top part of that wheel and hub
if u have some old vehicle tags floatin around u could jerry rig small fenders to cover the tires.
Good video thanks but what would happen if you swap the tiers it looks like the bare tier helps drag the hay around it
Hi I'm Louis from South Africa I like your videos and I like to work on the farm
Maybe have your welding guy to make you a fold down platform to stand on, that way you could fold it up to go around the corners. Just an idea.
