Hey Taylor, don't want to be a bossy old man but when handling insecticide wear rubber gloves and mask. Don't want to see something happen to you. In case you have cracked hands or get in your lungs. Be safe and take care!!! From snowy Iowa. Stan.

I agree use rubber gloves and a mask when working with chemicals. I used my PPE when working in the chemical industry for 50 years

I grew up on a small dairy farm in the 1960s in southwestern Pennsylvania. So you can guess how old I am, yes I’m 75 years old. So if it’s ok with you, I’ll think of you as my adopted granddaughter. Just love you and Brent and enjoy all of your posts! I hope someday you will find a young man that wants to be a farmer and together raise a up some future farmers. Gierok Farms is another small farm up in Wisconsin, 0:01 I like. Here where I grew up, I still have a few friends with multi generation family farm, but over the years the dairy herds have grown to be really large. A friend of mine from high school, now milks around 700 head. However, these large farms are not near as interesting to me as small dairy farms. You along with Gierok’s take me back home again as a young man growing up on a small dairy farm. God Bless you and Brent and your family. PS can’t wait to see your corn planter in action come spring planting!

I remember when Dad bought a IH 56 planter, first 4row in the valley. The first fields we planted had almost zero germination. Turns out the seed plates were put in upside down! And it ground up the seeds. Live and learn. Good thing seed corn wasn't as expensive as it is now! You brought back a memory of my Dad, thanx. Good luck with your planter.

Always tough to part with the friendly ones. I get to attached to our animals. Fun watching the old planter side markers drop, been years since I saw that. When you sprinkled the powder I could taste it, nasty stuff but we had to do that a couple times a year. If you have a large spice container, they often have a shaker opening you could maybe try. Hope you all stay safe and healthy Tay.

Again, another great video. You and Brent work so well together. Almost like reading each other's mind. That planter is cool. I haven't seen one like that in almost 70 years. You can tell I am older than dirt. Grew up in NY on a 300-acre farm. Had about 40 to 50 milkers. We kept about a third of all calves born. My uncle had almost all Holsteins. Had a couple of Jersey's mixed in. I loved the farm life. Have a Happy New Year. Stay safe this next year. God Bless

Good Evening Tay!! Did get a chance to watch until evening! Sorry you had to get rid of that cow. Your feelings show that you care and treat the animals well. The thing to remind people of is they aren't pets. As a farmer--and a person--you're sad to see her go, but you have the whole herd to think of. Those chain links might handle easier if you held the with a pair of plyers or channel locks. It'll keep your fingers farther from the hammer! Corn planter is cool! good luck using it!!! Always enjoy your videos!

Hi Taylor, I hope you had a nice Xmas day with your family and friends? You dairy farmers doesn't stop on Xmas and New Years day, its just another day with maybe an extra long break. I have always wondered why you don't stack the round bales in plastic next too the palour on the left hand side on the nicely mowered grass, there would be closer to access. Doesnt Brett like to use the standard 'poor on' lice treatment and that's why you use the method of powder lice treatment. As a thought could buy a cheap metal seive to spread the powder on the girls back. I love that Neil is a Beltered Galway bull and if I was younger I would have them as my complete herd. I hope you enjoy New Years Eve and then get ready for the next challengers in 2024. Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.
