Dude, thank you! Straight to the point tutorial, not lengthening the video unnecessary. And crystal clear about what you should do and how bitrate works.
FYI when he says MBytes/s on your connection he means Mbits/s as it's a bitrate not a byterate (in OBS is Kbits/s and not Kbytes/s). As an example a 9000kbits/s is equivalent of 1.073Mbytes/s
@@eliabiiii It is easy maths. We just say 1000kbps= 1mbps (it is actually 1024kb to mb but we keep it simple XD) A byte is basically 8bits but we could just say 10bits. So 1000kbps = 1mb , 4500kbps = 4.5mbps and 9000kbps = 9mbps (N.B these are rough numbers, they aren't really accurate.)

I have watched OBS audio filter settings video of yours and I did most regretful thing, I forgot to subscribe you. Now I came back with another OBS problem and I found your channel. Keep it up Bro, I don't know how much it's rewarding but it's impactful !!!
this video truly helped me thank you I was streaming on youtube at 9000 bitrates and getting a 30-second delay from me to the viewers and now I'm just getting a 5-second delay.
This is so informative! I needed this after seeing my stream video look extremely potato quality on a test run as a first-time OBS studio user, simply because I didn't tweak the settings at all lmao. Thank you!
Thank you! I am learning OBS for the first time, want to start a RUclips live show. Also need a virtual cam for zoom interviews, and my new mac does not work with cannon webcam utility; tired it with Ecamm but was laggy, then saw OBS was free, so hoping for the best!
For you base canvas resolution, you want your own resolution your monitor is running at. Could be 1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x2160 or even something ultrawide like 3440x1440.
Do you recommend going live (1) straight out of OBS that is connected to the RUclips channel or (2) from RUclips channel itself? I see there are some additional settings I can add if I start the stream from RUclips, but it seems much easier to just start broadcasting straight out of OBS. Would appreciate your advice.
I have a question....I'm pretty new with OBS and I'm doing reaction videos on RUclips for this software. I'm having a problem with the display capture. When I have a youtube video on fullscreen, my webcam up and start recording, it will sometimes freeze, turn black and take a couple seconds to pop back up on the screen. Why is that? Please anwser ASAP!!! 😭🙏
My videos I make in 1080p60 and they are in that quality when I upload them to RUclips, but in the streams in the same quality, on RUclips (using OBS Studio and 12,000 kbts for both), after uploading my stream is not in 1080p60, only stays at 1080p (30). If I did the live in 1080p60, shouldn't it be at 60 FPS? Since the configuration in OBS is the best for streams, what's wrong?
Great tutorial. I was just wondering why my VODs get uploaded after stream only in SD instead of full hd 720p or 1080p 60fps. Is there a way to fix that
You are awesome! Best "quick and to the point" help I've found ever! I just did a test stream, and it was 200% better. Thanks! Liked, shared, subscribed!
amazing video now i can finally stream and change quality in settings of streams to 1080p. Good video thank you. Is there a way to make it higher than 1080p?
Great to-the-point video! It's worth noting in passing that some of these options are NOT available on a desktop install of OBS (at least they aren't on mine) and thus that the same version of OBS will give different available options across laptop and desktop.
Hello, great video. I'm using a Sony zv-e10 as a Web Camera. The Webcam stream lags 15-30 secs behind my gameplay or video I'm streaming to RUclips. Any suggestions? Thanks
I have a 900 upload speed. My obs settings were set to 60fps and I was only using 6mbps. I had no idea I needed to be on 9mbps for 1080p 60 fps. When I record videos I use 20mbps and my recorded vids looks amazing. Sometimes I do stream to youtube/twitch at the same time tho IDK how this would work since twitch only goes so high in resolution. The base for non partnered streamers is low. But the cap for partnered streamers goes up a little higher. Has this changed or is this still the same? I have no idea what mbps to put it at if I am streaming to both simultaneously.
I have a question. I have been streaming with almost same settings but the quality of the stream is bad. I have the ptzoptics 20x sdi camera and i have stream setup as 1080 input and 1080 output in OBS. But when watching the actual live stream the quality is all washed out and feels like watching something lower than 720p, closer to 480p resolution. any advise?
man. your vids are just fantastic. Clear and consise. I have a question for you though. Trying to get into Twitch and streaming some game play with some other gamers. I have a shiny new AMD 5800x with a new MB with many nice features but in this GPU climate i have had to stick with my old reliable 4 Gig AMD R380, because the new GPU's are just rediculously priced. Are there specific AMD settings you'd suggest. I feel that my bottle neck will be the card so in using the x264 setting i have no problem differing the computation speed to my 5800x processor. Do you agree with this train of thought? or is this an armature way to think? Thanks for the great videos... they have really eased my frustrations in doing something that i enjoy doing with my gaming friends. Take care. Subbed
2:13 ***clears throat*** ... ACCCTWUALLYYY (/s) .... the whole 44.1 / 48 thing. Here's the thing about that. If you have a conflict anywhere in your audio chain i.e. your source is 48 hz but then your recording is 44.1 hz ... or say, your microphone is 48 hz but your desktop playback audio is 44.1 hz... or whatever weird combination and yes Windows almost always defaults to 44.1 hz when adding a new audio source unless you manually change it. If there is any conflict in your audio chain between 44.1 and 48, you will get an obnoxious crackling sound as if you're broadcasting over AM radio. Bottom line - just make sure it's consistent across the board - either 44.1 all the way through or 48 hz all the way through (OBS settings, Windows playback and recording devices settings and also if you're using any virtual mixer type programs such as VoiceMeter Banana).
Public benchmark: Which CPU do you have and what downscale sample rate works well for you? I'm curious. Thanks. (I have the R5 3600, have been using 16 samples but am going to test out 36)
be careful to not confuse kbps and call the conversion to mbps actually MB/s. megabytes != megabits. So you can't call 1000 kbps, 1 Megabyte per second because that's completely wrong. 8 bits are in a byte. So to convert 6000kbps to MB/s you would first covert it to mbps which is 6mbps.
