Thank you compadre !! As a new OBS user v30.1.2 (64bit) I had Video issues replaying last night's live Streaming April 26 2024 Stagecoach Country Festival stage acts (very delay choppy video/audio sound ok) I'll record tonights stage acts of April 27th 2024 & compare hoping for video sync with audio. Side note: hoping these setting can be used to my daily ZOOM meetings. I THANK YOU for your time and instructions for making life a little easier & joyful for us all.
Just a quick note. Your sample rate should probably be set to whatever your PC default is so there are no device conflicts. In a lot of situations (especially older setups) that's going to be 44.1, but if you're using anything newer, whether it's an Audio Interface or a USB streaming mic, it will probably be 48.
I just finished my set up for stream and now trying to learn how to run the stream and your video helps alot with OBS, subs from me, ill keep watching your other videos as well, thank you!
You've pointed out everything no one else did, thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us. this means a-lot because i'm a new streamer. i truly appreciate you helping us. 🎉 stay awesome.
Still love citing this as an initial source for new streamers on Twitch who seem to struggle with keeping a steady stream going ... yet I did notice that you recommend *CBR*. With advice from many other streamers ( _in gaming, co-study,_ AND _writing streams_ ), I would suggest the following settings, that differ from your videos settings, from those who know how to get an even smoother stream. 😄 Custom Rescale: > if you want to stream videogames or any moving content at *60fps*, but your PC can't handle it at 1080p, lowering it to *1664x936* will allow the stream to run at close to 1080p quality without any bandwidth or "internet issues" ( _don't click the drop-down, as it's_ *not* _an option! You need to click_ in _the text area and_ *manually* _type it!_ ) Rate Control: > I've been told that VBR is better than CBR - This also allows your stream to avoid dropping frames as much, as from what I've heard: it uses the GPU more than the CPU, which I've heard CBR uses. Bitrate: > 3500kbps for 720p or lower, or 4500 for a 1080p stream ( _setting a custom scale to "1664x936" can still allow for 60fps at 4500kbps without your stream getting choppy for viewers!_ ) I know your video is for helping new streamers, but these settings were recommended by many streamers I've come to know and be a regular chatter for, over the past 5 years since i first started streaming. 😊
RESULTS: 1st let me say to all seeing this "Very good added information & much needed education overall". From my post yesterday I must say I did learn a thing or 2. Of course not all your settings will fit everyone's custom fit to their own set-up. From my results last nights Stagecoach live streaming results were basically the same as Fridays night before with my "generic" settings when the video ran slow and choppy with major delays & the Audio came in 100% load & clear .... for an Amateur that is. My 1st guess was maybe it's my older 3-4year old HP Windows Desktop (w/all updates) and it is what it is. If not the desktop then I have more adjustments & testing to do to get better live Streaming Video recording results. Love this OBS software so I'll keep researching & testing looking for satisfactory results overall. Thanks again...
Awesome concise video. While I already had a lot of my settings correct, your video helped me figure out a long time problem with OBS eating up resources. That being my "Process Priority" having been set to high. Thanks so much!
This video would have been a TINY bit better, if you had adressed what resolution you are aiming for, BEFORE talking about bitrate. That being said, baller video - thanks!
can u make a video about a high end streaming quality and how to do so? i got very expensive high end dual pc setup and somehow all the vids i watch always make my stream still feel choppy
what do you think about nvidia codec av1 ? can you talk more about it? how can I stream on youtube withouy motion blur on my CS2? RTX 4060 with i7-13700
Hi, thanks for the video. I was looking for some solutions for an FPS problem. They drop from 240 FPS off live to 80-110FPS once live on Twitch, unpleasant to play the game PUBG... See if your settings help me with this problem. I'll make an edit !
8000 bitrate is not for everyone, for non affiliate / partner 6000 bitrate is the max, iff you set it on 8000 your streammanager wil say the stream is unstable ( bitrate to high )
You are correct, but you can use 8000 bitrate if you check the box that I showed in the video that says ignore streaming service encoder settings. You do not need affiliate or partner for it to work. You can ONLY set it to 8000 though, if you go ANY higher it will default your stream down to 720p.
@@R1CHARD82. you will always get the "unstable notice" I stream in 8k for a while now and to verify you're streaming in 8k bitrate click the cog wheel of your stream Advanced > Video Stats > Playback Bitrate [8000]
Yo what do u think my issue is if i dont have the same boxes as you on obs like where you a certain box i dont have it at all is is because of my lack of a pc my device is a desk top gaming computer plz reply
I want to ask a question, PLEASE ANSWER. You definitely know howspeed, right? So I want to ask how to create an additional layer to prevent sensitive videos/donations (avoid being banned) For Ishowspeed, sometimes when playing Ome, he covers it with a picture/photo to be safe + mutes the sound on the screen. How do you do that?
I tried streaming at 1440p on Twitch, and when there is no movement the stream looks amazing but as soon as I start moving around in the game, the stream gets a fully pixelated. Sad thing is you don't talk about that =/
Chatted with u last night on twitch (I'm ROD720TV). question 4 ya... every other tutorial I've seen says 6000 for bitrate. Why 8000 for u? Also, if i use a series x, can my base be 4k and my output be 2k?
So if you select ignore streaming service encoder recommendations like I stated in the video, you actually can bypass their limitations and run it at 8000 (and yes this works for everyone, not just twitch partners)! Most people don’t know about this trick but it does work and makes your stream even sharper and more crisp.
Why tell people to set their bitrate to 8000? its dependent on their upload speed and Twitch maxes everyone out 6000 anyways, youtube and kick are the only ones who doesn't limit bitrate, i change my bitrate for every stream dependent on my upload test ? would this not be the correct thing to do ?
I need help. I updated obs to version 30.2 and i used all your settings, Now when i record it stops and say encoder error while recording no such file or directory. it worked fine before. please help me bro.
@Hammer Dance this might be an incredibly stupid question because all pros use this to record their gameplay. I play MW3 and im competitive and i have reached a very high rank, i'm not that great with pc yet, MW3 bans people for anything third party, but everyone uses obs to record there gameplay. is it totally fine for me to install this and record my gameplay tonight?? I wanna get some diamond lobbies gameplay on MW3 and i wanna just record my gameplay. Thats fine right? please lmk and sorry i just have had a bad expeirence in the past with downloading apps i dont have a lot of knowledge about.
Do people still use 2 pc's for streaming? i have a ryzen 7 7800x3D with a 4070fe and 32gb ram and OBS will crash after about 2 hours of playing Escape From Tarkov
When i fight bosses or something with much movement I get the stream kinda pixelated. With 3500 bits can I stream at 720p 30 fps? Also i had preset to P5 and Turning with Ultra Low latency Changing this to P6 and High quality fixes this? Also changed to Lanczos 36 samples instead of 16
Hello Hammer I came across your video and my OBS differs from yours in the output "rescale output" setting. you have yours set to disabled/1920x1080, but mine only does 1280x780. Why is this??
In obs 2:44 my stream maximum video bitrate is 51000kbps . How much bitrate should i put in output encoder setting and end my upload speed is 95.66 mbps . And my streaming is sooo blurry and not clear 😢
I was multistreaming on twitch and kick with the settings you have here, but about 30 mins in I got disconnected from my game and both streams went down. It’s almost like I lost internet. Any clue what might be causing that? It doesn’t happen when streaming just to twitch only when I multi stream. My upload speed is 30-40 mbps.
So do you have a setting for a computer with a AMD ryzen 5 with GeForce RTX. I keep getting video encoder overload if I try to play a pc game while streaming . I’ve tried prioritizing the systems but I still get laggy gameplay. It’s not the internet trust me . Would AmD be better for streaming on RUclips ? Not twitch ?
What are your pc specs? AMD cpus can stream to youtube or twitch but the magic happens with 4000s nvidia gpus being able to gpu encode, that allows your cpu to focus on running your system while you stream and game. Make sure youre not cpu encoding, especially with only one pc and a ryzen 5 which will only have 6 cores and 12 threads to work with. Likely between the game, obs studios, tabs open, spotify, etc your cpu is probably at full usage. If you are not gpu encoding, either purchase a 3000s nvidia gpu OR a 4000s nvidia gpu and use NVENC as a video encoder for streaming. Preferably the 4000s, a 4070 can be found for less than $500 and can boost your frames on 1080 and 2k to double ALL while gpu encoding equal to slow or slower preset on cpu encoding. IF you already have a newer gpu consider a 5700x/3d or 5800x/3d cpu that will be compatible with you AM4 motherboard.

For encoders: Should I use NVENC Hevc, NVENC H.264 or NVENC AV1?
