    Hi!
First of all, thank you so much. I built my stream thanks to your videos and after I had to format my computer, I used your videos again. Keep up the good work!
However, I still have few question comparing this video to your older video (uploaded about 10 months ago - "How to stream on Kick (For Beginners 2024)".
These questions consider in-game FPS and streaming at the same time.
    1. Does Bitrate affects in-game FPS? I have a really-really good ethernet upload/download speed and I used to have it on 6000 Kbps. After this video I changed it to 8000 but does this difference affect FPS?
    2. In your older video, you had Keyframe Interval 1 s, but now you suggest 2 s? Does this affect FPS?
    3. In your older video, you had Tuning "Ultra Low Latency" but now you suggest "High Quality". Does this affect FPS?
    4. In your older video, you had Multipass Mode as "Single Pass" but now you suggest " Two passes (Quarter Resolution)". Does this affect FPS?
    5. In your older video, you had Profile as "main" but now you have "high". Does this affect FPS?
Now...I have tried different in-game settings, watched countless hours of videos about the best settings and I can't go any lower. My computer is not the newest but should do the job and as I said, ethernet speed is not an issue.
And thanks you so much again for all these videos. These helped me a lot and I have suggested your videos on my stream to people who want to start streaming. :)

That's a great question and honestly is not my main expertise, but this is my understanding of it at least:
      Bitrate:
Direct Impact on FPS: No. Bitrate primarily affects the quality of your stream, not your in-game performance. Increasing it can improve stream quality but won't directly impact your FPS.
Indirect Impact: If your CPU is struggling to encode the stream at a higher bitrate, it might indirectly impact your in-game performance. However, with a good CPU, this shouldn't be a significant issue.
      Keyframe Interval:
Direct Impact on FPS: Minimal. This setting determines how often a keyframe is encoded, which can affect the quality of your stream, especially during fast-paced action.
Indirect Impact: A longer keyframe interval can reduce the CPU load during encoding, which might slightly improve your in-game FPS, but the difference is usually negligible.
      Tuning:
Direct Impact on FPS: Yes. Choosing a higher quality setting will increase the CPU load required for encoding, which can negatively impact your in-game FPS. Lowering the quality to "Ultra Low Latency" will reduce the CPU load and improve in-game performance.
      Multipass Mode:
Direct Impact on FPS: Yes. Two-pass encoding produces higher quality streams but requires more CPU resources. Single-pass encoding is less demanding on the CPU, leading to better in-game performance.
      Profile:
Direct Impact on FPS: Yes. The "high" profile offers higher quality but requires more CPU power. The "main" profile is a good balance between quality and performance.
Optimizing Your Settings for In-game Performance
Based on your concern for in-game FPS, consider these settings:
Bitrate: Adjust as needed for desired stream quality.
Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds is a good balance between quality and performance.
Tuning: Ultra Low Latency for better in-game performance.
Multipass Mode: Single Pass for less CPU load.
Profile: Main for a good balance between quality and performance.
      Additional Tips:
Hardware Optimization: Ensure your CPU and GPU are up to the task. Consider overclocking (if you know what you're doing) or upgrading if necessary.
Game Settings: Lowering in-game graphics settings can significantly improve FPS.
Background Processes: Close unnecessary applications to free up system resources.
Driver Updates: Keep your graphics card and streaming software drivers up-to-date.
By carefully adjusting these settings and optimizing your hardware, you should be able to achieve a good balance between streaming quality and in-game performance.

hey, what is the reason that you set the multi pass mode to quarter in settings, and not to the highest? I have this on highest

    • @CpawsMusic
      @CpawsMusic  26 дней назад

Performance: Higher multipass settings can be very demanding on your CPU or GPU, potentially causing dropped frames or lag, especially if your hardware isn’t top-of-the-line.
Resource Management: If you’re running multiple applications or streaming while gaming, a lower multipass can help ensure smoother performance overall.
File Size: Lower multipass settings can result in smaller file sizes, which might be beneficial if you're limited on storage or bandwidth.
Testing: If you’re testing different settings, starting with quarter can be a good way to find a balance before moving to higher settings.

Set your recording audio tracks in advanced system properties.

Set your Mic to remove it from track 2.
Make sure all of your other audio is set to remaining tracks.
Then go to your recording settings and have choose to remove the all other tracks but leave track two on.

Will these settings help with stream delays? I've tried multiple different things, and my internet speed is good, so I'm not sure how to fix this. Any suggestions? Everything is running great and I have stream delay off. But i keep falling behind by like 5 minutes. It's bad. Im not lagging by any means the twitch circle just appears and puts me behind. Mostly at the startup of my stream. Its been incredibly frustrating for me and my viewers.

    • @CpawsMusic
      @CpawsMusic  25 дней назад +1

There's a setting in OBS that allows you to set a stream delay so make sure that isn't on, also there's a latency setting on your twitch page settings that you can check as well, otherwise here's some more general stuff:
      Adjust Stream Settings:
Go to your streaming software (like OBS or Streamlabs) and check your output settings.
Lower the bitrate if you’re experiencing high latency; a bitrate that's too high can cause delays.
      Reduce Encoder Preset:
In your streaming software, select a faster encoder preset. This can help reduce latency but may slightly affect video quality.
      Change Twitch Server:
In your streaming software, check the server settings. Connecting to a different Twitch server closer to your location may reduce latency.
      Use Low Latency Mode:
In your Twitch dashboard, go to the settings and enable "Low Latency" mode. This can help decrease the delay between your stream and viewers.
      Check Internet Connection:
Ensure your internet connection is stable and has sufficient upload speed (at least double your stream bitrate for optimal performance).
      Close Background Applications:
Close any unnecessary applications running on your computer that might consume bandwidth or processing power.
      Optimize Network Settings:
Use a wired connection if possible, as it's typically more stable than Wi-Fi.
Consider adjusting Quality of Service (QoS) settings on your router to prioritize your streaming traffic.
      Restart Equipment:
Sometimes a simple restart of your streaming software, computer, or router can resolve unexpected delays.
      Check for Updates:
Ensure your streaming software and any relevant drivers are up to date, as updates can improve performance and fix bugs.
