Today was my cousins birthday, and he was turning 18, he was on his computer, he showed me he was a streamer, a small one, and showed me all the needed programs for the stream (including OBS and some others I think). I didn't understand anything and was very surprised, excited. Now I found this video and is very helpful. Thank you a lot. One of the most helpful ones out there.

I am a beginner to OBS so this video has been super helpful Justin, thank you. I am trying to record a tutorial demonstrating how to use an online ordering website. I am using a highlight for my cursor. When I play back my video I can see the cursor but it doesn't record the highlight. I downloaded the cursor highlighter from Microsoft. Is there a setting I am missing?

This is by far the best video I have found. Just need to know a little more. I will keep searching his videos to see if maybe he teaches the screen record, and if you can record a section of the screen.

Was browsing RUclips just to figure out how to start YouTubing and specifically using OBS. Well three vids in this is the best one so far and very detailed in me learning all the screen setup in the software. I’ll have to even revisit and rewatch this vid again so I understand everything. It never goes to say if you make a tutorial explain it properly so a new person can understand and know how to use the thing your explaining and this was explained in detail I needed and will help me on my first video. Having real trouble getting OBS videos to desktop, converted to formats iMovie can recognize. Any suggestions?
Best instructions! And you can crop the scene (like if you want your image in the corner to be square to take less space) by holding ALT when adjusting the border.

This is a great beginner tutorial. I had to learn by trial and error which obviously takes longer so if you're new to OBS, follow these instructions and that's all you need to get started!!

A question came up while I was watching, and apologies if you address this elsewhere: for things like the red circle that appears when you click the mouse or zooming in to focus on smaller parts of the screen, are those things that you do in OBS as well, or are they added later in something like Final Cut? In fact, how much is set up with OBS in advance versus being done in production software for a video like this?
