It's just to have fun. People in their 20's haven't experienced enough in life. I couldn't imagine having a long term relationship with someone young like that. Having a good time...maybe.
I'm 39, and although I definitely think I'm wiser and a better person, I still just feel like me. I don't feel old or anything, and it's really weird for people to see you as something you have never felt. You don't become instantly boring and with everything lined up, although I know some who have. Don't agree that age is just a number though, like those men in their fifties trying to chat up teenagers who they can manipulate. We've been their age and they've never been ours, so they don't have a clue, that you are still in many ways yourself.

1st story: Obviously, OP was an AH for cheating on his fiancée. However, I think OP's fiancée was also an AH for how she treated him after his mother/grandmother died. She was horrible and, not even remotely understanding.

My ex told me he cheated on basically every woman before me. I tried to trust him bc he said he wanted it to be different. And the thing is he did tell me a lot. But my trust of him was super shaken. Not only did he have a history of cheating but also he told me women send him naked pics and he had no plans to stop it, he only wanted me to know. He told me he would go see his ex. After I told him not to be alone with her, he still went to her house. Like how can I trust guys. I don't want to be with anyone else bc I just can't give my trust away again.

I am 36, and a really good friend of mine is 28. I honestly forget that we are not the same age all the time. I feel anyone 27+ is mature enough to date someone „older“.

I don't understand why cheating seems to be the one thing most people say a person can never change. "Once a cheater, always a cheater." No, its like any other bad thing you can do. I've never cheated, but I have definitely been toxic and jealous in the past, but I've learned and grown and now I no longer take those actions. Someone CAN recognize their mistakes and change their behavior, it's just something they have to choose to do.
That said, I don't think a person is ever obligated to forgive any bad behavior in a relationship, including cheating, but it's wrong to judge someone by those metrics in future relationships unless the behavior remains.

Turn out her husband has been getting drunk for the last x amount of time. She slept with wrong musketeer! The next day, she told her husband. I believe people can make mistakes and learn from them, not saying all will, but its pretty far out to assume someone cant learn from past mistakes including cheating on a spouse.
