Hi, Jayda. Even with cooler weather on the way your enthusiasm 😎 and smile warms our heart ❤, my sister has to travel around to industrial plants selling safety glasses, I will make this hat to help her stay warm in Indiana U.S.A.. GOD BLESS YOU and MR. INSTICHES.
My sister just asked for a "Black" hat for her birthday. I think this will be the one, with an added rib brim and a pom pom. Flying through, this pattern makes crochet with dark yarn so much easier. Thank you.
Thanks for a new hat….I’m a hat person too…all my friends have me make them hats so they will be happy for a new style too…lol. You have been my go to teacher for years now…luv ya ❤😊✌️
I love this Hat ,Jayda . Sorry I missed the live . 😔, I made myself two hats last wk. Lol but will be making this one , thank you for the tutorial. You look amazing with the hat, I love your Happiness. Take care , HI Mr. Stitches
Oooh this's pretty & simple and cool 😎. Starting my vacation (1 week 😁)today!🎉🥳👏👏👏 Gonna house and dog sit, and will be working on some WIPS. Adding at least one of these to my to-do list 🤓.
Perfect timing jayda I am not usually a hat wearer but last winter I took to wearing a simple v stitch beanie I had made but I wished it had been more of a slouchy style so now I can make one thank you 😊amanda xx💖💕
@@KimMesser514 well, if this makes it easier, in a regular video you will only hear Jayda talking. In a live stream you will hear both Jayda and Mr Institches talking. Besides, they release a regular video every Friday as they have done for years now.
Been saving slouchy hat videos to try and whip one up. I need something to keep my hair up but I'm having sensory issues with using hair ties for some reason.
I wonder if a soft scrunchie would feel better? You can crochet around a hair elastic with soft or fluffy yarn. We have a couple of tutorials on that 😊 ruclips.net/video/SPXyQ-1Gol0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/gfhhEhIBuhA/видео.html
Thanks, Jayda ( & Mr Institches!) Perfect timing for a perfect fall hat! > I hope to make this one for my Daughter-In-Love's Birthday this month > 🤍you!
I was hoping you were going to make hat! I almost said so in the comments... yesterday... or the day before??(I'm too sleep deprived to be able to keep up with anything) but , besides being exhausted, I wasn't sure if that was enough yarn. Pictures can be very deceiving LOL Jayda, your hat needs a pom-pom!*giggle 💜
Thank you Jayda for another great vid. I think I will be making a couple of these for my great granddaughters they are so cute. Do you have a pattern for a men's pullover? I looked for my self but did not find one but maybe I overlooked it. Would love to make a pullover for someone that I don't know what to buy for him. I found a couple from other sites but they go too fast or I cannot make heads or tails of their patterns. Have a great weekend.
A few people have been asking * giggle * I know I've done matching gloves in the past, I have to do a little experimenting to see if the Brick Stitch makes a good glove pattern!
@@JaydaInStitches thanks for responding! Just got done using the fallen leaf one to match it,and I love it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Nice project hat. I'd I have 174yds of self striping #5 weight. What other weight(s) can I use to make up the 200 yds? My head is about the same size as what you make.
Hi Georgi, you might be able to do it with the 174 if you make it the same number of rows that I did. I had left over yarn from 200 y - we said 200 y just to account for tension or folks wanting to make it bigger. 💗
Hiy jayda i love this beanie but is it stay in place im afraid that will Come of if you no what i mean so please can you tell me i loved it so much thank you for the time too make those video's greating paula from the Nederlands ❤
Hi Jay, that puts you about 1" smaller than my head circumference, so you will want a slightly shorter foundation chain. Still a multiple of 3, be sure that it fits comfortably around your head 😊
Hi Jayda. Thank you so much for responding so quickly. But….😢😢😢 the ambrosia has been discontinued. I will look for a similar substitute. Any suggestions?
Hi Kaleigh, use the formula in the video to get a perfect fit, the foundation chain can be ANY number, so long as it's a multiple of 3 and it fits around your head.
So I’m trying to follow the video using the same amount of stitches just to practice and I’m ending up w ch3 not Ch 2 at the end of round 1.. and I’m only ending up w 69 not 70 dc.. am I doing something wrong?
Hi Tammy, it might be, but Lion Brand Landscapes is an excellent alternative...having said that, ANY self-striping yarn in colours you like would suit this hat pattern 💗
@@JaydaInStitches Ty Jayda. I love that color through! LOL! Landscape Yarn is beautiful to. I can’t stop looking at the yarn you used though! Oh well. Moving on! Ty for your lovely video. Love watching u.
Hi Diane, If you made it too long, you can take out some rows, alternatively, if you made it too short, you can add in some rows (if you already started decreasing, just take out the decrease rows and continue with the pattern) 💗
Unfortunately I couldn't get passed the 3rd row, I was hoping you would show the ending and then the beginning of the 4th row but the video went straight to the finished hat. I can't follow written patterns I've taught myself how to crochet only from you tube so it's all visual for me, written pattern are gobble d gook for me. I'll find another of your video's on here but I'll make sure there's enough on it for me to follow before I make the start.

Would you say this would make a good scrap hat, using a different color for each two rows?
Absolutely!!!!
That looks like Unforgettable by Red Heart.
That must be pretty too!! This is actually a Bernat "Mosaic" 😊
@@JaydaInStitches Beautiful! And I love your hat. I now know what I'm going to do with one of the Lion Brand Mandalas I ordered recently!

I thought the same. I don't have Bernat mosaic at home, but I'll try with Red Heart Unforgettable ✌🏻
Do you think it would make a bucket hat ?
My friend only wears bucket hat x large. Big head.
Hi Rebecca, this pattern makes a soft fabric, not stiff like a traditional bucket hat, but it might be an interesting experiment!
Great tutorial 🥰

Hi Paula, this is my daily wear hat right now as it's not too cold but cold enough to need a hat. It does not come off 😊
If my head measures 21” should I go up a .5” or an 1” ?
