They also chat about Barcelona's latest star from their youth academy, and marvel at how they keep producing one gem after another. Additionally, they examine the recent interest from Al-Ittihad in Mohamed Salah, and speculate whether he might be on the move to Saudi Arabia.

What I love about Nunez's goals was that they weren't scuffed finishes or a touch of luck worldie from nowhere. They were proper strikers goals. Clean, clinical and precise.
Exactly. I was stunned but impressed.
First one hit the post but they were still beautiful hits
@@amzofficial8868 that’s literally the perfect shot dude. You’re talking like that is a negative
will scuff or miss next 6
@@gerainthopkins7576 "Hello operator? I'd like to report an outbreak of Copium in Toon Town"
Nunez goals/assists per starts are actually really good, if guy could add consistency he can go anywhere, depends how much he wants it.
Nunez was unbelievable tbh!
Yea I went down bookies after that and stuck 20 on him getting golden boot and got 20/1 after the Newcastle game i couldn't belive it
Love this podcast well done guys!
I so enjoy this podcast and this trio- I can’t stop smiling at my screen. Long may it continue,
100% agree. Micah does my head in on Sky but he's so much better on this and MOTD when he's got time to prep.
Darwin, Darwin Nunez ❤🔥
I’ve been living in Melbourne for the last 10ys! I’ve been pining for MOTD but just can’t view it legally. These vids are a lovely reminder & love the dynamic between the three! Long may it continue.
Lads, you have made me fall in love with football again.
I absolutely love the podcast, keep up the good work and keep reminiscing! 👏👏👏
That standing ovation question made me creaseee.
Alan: Yah they didn't like us
Lineker: Speak for yourself Alan cause I had one
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Really enjoying these podcasts. So good to see you 3 being yourselves as you can clearly see your restricted to what you can say on tv. Some brilliants stories you've told so far. Also big Meeks is actually funny. Great trio
Núñez is going to be a great striker for us. He scored 15 goals last season in all competitions which isn't bad considering he was on the left for most of it, plus a few vital and brilliant goals like the one against Madrid and Utd.
The only thing people can really complain about his 1st season is his price tag.
@@fugaziishimeI think they should complain about how they used the money in the whole first window. Then in the second one LFC corrected it a bit signing Gakpo, but still needs a coherent centerfield
Another brilliant episode fellas, looking forward to Wednesday. Thanks
Another great pod keep it up lads👏🏾👏🏾
One of my favorite podcasts, Would rather listen to 3 of you banter over ESPN or Skysports pundits.
Supporter from Australia 🦘🦘🦘
Favourite.
love it, just wish they would turn the sound up
New drinking game, take a drink every time Gary scratches his nose 😂😂. Loving this podcast fellas keep it up
I love this podcast just wish it was a bit longer maybe 45 minutes keep it up mates your brilliant
Love the podcast guys!! All the way from Texas USA
Another great podcast lads.
Darwin Nunez ❤
Great episode lads 👏
Great Trio! I love Micah's humor!
Humour.
@@GeordieBoy69 humor is American english. Thanks for your input.
Once at Maine Rd vs Spurs Gary Linekar came up signing autographs for City fans in the Kippax. Top bloke.
The Van Dijk conversation is absolute madness. He went through the player to get the ball and he was clean through on goal. What are people seeing that makes that controversial?
Best soccer podcast
Question lads, are you in separate houses? I loved the format of the beginning episode on the couch chilling together, would love to see more of that :) unreal content as well which is becoming the norm on this channel!
Well like they said, both finished match of the day at 1am or whatever so to be in the same house all 3 whilst not living next to each other is a bit much of an ask really, they’ve got plenty to do
Of course they are they're not going to be in the same building and sit in different rooms.
I can see good souls in you guys..I love the rest is football and I wish you must do it everyday 🤣🤣
Another winner
If Nunez gets his game time and puts in that type of clinical performance he is gonna absolutely fly this season. Everytime he was on the ball yesterday he was electric
I must say this is better than the overlap. Even though I enjoy neville-carra chemistry. But this is way better.
Brilliant podcast but the volume was a bit low in this one!
Love the cast but it's soooo quiet. I have everything on max volume just to hear you
nunezzzzz🎉❤
VVD's foul on Isak was a clear foul ... he kicked through Isak's legs to get the ball. And it was also a clear goal-scoring opportunity .. have you seen the goals Isak has scored?
Not clear goal scoring opportunity
A striker being good doesn't make it automatically a goal scoring opportunity. For the record I do think it was a red but not for the weird Isak reason you've mentioned
@@NotSoRandom_ If that's not a clear goal scoring opportunity, what is? After Isak passed VanDijk, it was just him and the keeper.
@@erosion271how is being one on one with the keeper in the box not a goal scoring opportunity
@@trinibaduk9012 it is a goal scoring opportunity. But the original comment is saying it’s a goal scoring opportunity purely because Isak is a good striker which is bizarre
I’m glad Shearer mentioned Nunez’s finishes. Not getting anywhere near enough credit for them imo. Side netting and the only place Pope can’t get them. Outstanding!
Liverpool fan here. Just wondering, still think Nunez is alright? As a fan im starting to loose my patience with him to be honest. Amazing podcast by the way
Darwin Nunez what an absolute beast of a striker!!!...2 world class finishes to beat a top Newcastle side ⚽️⚽️👏🏻👏🏻😍😍 The red card for VVD was a disgrace imo...He took the ball cleanly and Isak and VVD came together...What has our beautiful game become!!!...🙄🤔 At least we have u 3 to keep us entertained 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
watch the front on replay - vvd clearly kicks through Isak, kicking his right foot with nobody between Isak & the keeper; it's as clear as they come
@@andrewharrison7767 footy is all about opinions and we will agree to disagree on this one...👍🏻⚽️⚽️
@@bantamNeil12what made it 'a disgrace' in your opinion? Even loads of reds I kno3w agree it was a clear red card
@andrewharrison7767 we don't agree which is fine so no more point discussing it...Enjoy your evening...👍🏻⚽️⚽️😍
@@andrewharrison7767because Ruben Diaz or Lisandro Martinez gets a yellow there
I think probably the best football podcast. Different characters and styles, obviously knowledgeable and always interesting. Is there a better podcast that maybe I’m missing?
Jota, bit of a cameo player at Liverpool player, Newcastle should enquire about him, assuming Salah doesn't go
Who was a better striker linekar or shearer? Linekars england record speaks for itself...imagine him in this era
VVD - the ref whould have given some lip back, like : "If you could tackle or position yourself properly, you wouldn't be in this situation!"
So Alan thinks its ok for Trent to be booked for tossing the ball back into play after being shoved off the pitch but ignores that the ref didnt book Gordan kicking the ball away just after and Guimaraes not getting booked for twice asking for cards to be given out.
pgmol have the knives out for liverpool.
If MOTD is recorded live then how do you do the 3pms that kick off at once?
What are you on about? 😂
Salah can produce moments even now its now his time to go i feel not at this moment .
Gordon's petulant push on Trent was a yellow all day long.
Sorry guys but can’t believe you didn’t mention West Ham’s defensive masterclass away to Brighton and Bowen and Antonio’s excellent strikes. First time we’ve beaten Brighton in the Premier League and first win in our last 7 matches against them.
Irrelevant twoddle
lolol who?
Never knew motd was live
Lamine yamal is up next. 🎉
Alan Shearer since had to apologise to his son because his trainers were in his car but he missed it 😂😅 Lack of sleep does that to you 😊
A few mins after trent got a yellow for throwing the ball away, Gordon kicked the ball away.
Also Joelinton signaled TWICE to the ref to card a player. Which is also against the new rules.
Not to mention Tindall in the technical area with Howe.
But yeah. Only two wrong calls from the ref eh Alan?
I don't understand why some guys on here are saying it a quiet recording!
Seriously though, the players know the new laws. They need to control themselves.
Volume seems softer than usual
lets see ur fantasy teams lads be brillisnt content to hve u bickering all season abt it loving the pod
Question to whomever can answer it.
If time wasting is tracked and added on top of the minutes played, WHY is a player penalized with a yellow for time wasting?
I see your point, but no one wants 15/20 minutes added time coz Jordan Pickford won’t get off the ground
Gary needs to sign of with Good bye from Big Lugs
Off not of ffs.
Big Hugs from...
Can’t wait for a Newcastle defender to make the same tackle and get a red card and Shearer coming out defending his subjective bias.
It was a red card, won’t argue that, but it was a harsh one. Not as dead clear as the Newcastle fans are claiming.
Plus, if trent deserved the yellow for throwing the ball, Gordon should’ve seen red as well. Pushed trent off the pitch and then kicked the ball. Who’s going to talk about that?
Would love to hear your thoughts on whether we should be looking to bring more top foreign refs into our game. We have such a diverse league as is and I personally think historically that the top refs in the world don't come from the UK. So why not try and improve our refs with some top foreign referees?
Why does Micah look angry throughout lol
Trent was just doing the ball-boy's job ffs!
Some bloke shared a collage of the red, which showed there was little to no contact until Isak kicked Virgil's foot and dropped like he was shot.
No superstar has gone? Neymar is a superstar like it or not
vivobarefoot for widefeet
Carl leàburn
Losing to Liverpool was properly like playing Football Manager
Anthony Gordon kicked the ball away twice and didn't get a card. Refs seem to go with the fans noise so the advantage will always be at home
People forget how good Rooney was at 16. It can happen.
Phillips should go to Leeds on loan for a season, so no threat to City and would get lots of minutes
Wow, comeback of the season and you spoke about it like 1 min of which the majority was about the red card. Biased as hell :D
Alan’s right, vvd took isak out completely and then got the ball.. only a red card because it was the denial of a goal scoring opportunity… but other things like that rashford pen 😅 rashford got a tap on his leg and went flying… that is never a penalty. But we all know what happens with refs and United 🤭
would salah or ANY other -player not look for it? It's what pundits term 'maximising, or highlighting contact' - look at liverpools new polish player against Bournemouth, or Brentford Vs Spurs; both minor contact but both players went over & penalties given.
@@andrewharrison7767it's cheating, plain and simple.
@@jvaddisonagreed - but it's only ever noticed by fans when other teams do it; but the same fans moan about a lack of consistancy lol
Has Micah ever said anything that isn't mostly obvious
Hi. My. Name. Is. Micah. Richard’s. I. Talk. With. Full. Stops. After. Every. Word.
They offered £250m for Rashford
Gordon could have had two yellows, foul on Trent and kicked the ball away. So could Joelinton, gesturing for a card and accumulated fouls. Obviously people focus on the ones that benefit the winner but Newcastle got plenty of favours from the ref.
Shearer forgetting the fact that Newcastle's midfield 3 should have each been yellow carded about 5 times. One of the most biased pundits around.
Alan needs to clean his Black and white tinted glasses if gonna quote rules cos he missed joelinton waving for a card against players twice….
🩵
I’d rather buy Henderson back than sign that sick note Kalvin Phillips 🤮
Virgil deserved the red and Darwin deserved his goals but the ref was bad on the day
I never knew Alan Shearerbto be such a wet rag & No 1 fan of referees 😅 Those Black & White tinted glasses are one hell of a drug, huh
Never been a big fan of these 3 just purely because of their arrogance...but where they're together it's somehow likeable and entertaining. Similar to the Top Gear trio of Clarkson and co where I can't stand them, but the chemistry together makes an entertaining watch. Seems to be what BBC breeds and then they get too big for BBC and can make a go on their own haha
The reason newcastle lost was purely down to Barnes's choice to not pass like against Villa - As for VVD, clear red and should get an extra game ban for his reaction imo; what's the point in booking players for abusing refs if players get a free pop after being sent off?
That’s not the rule anymore though is it ? They changed the rules again.
@@Youafool500 which rule do you mean?
VVD got the extra game ban...
Nunez's goals were good but people be exaggerating. They be talking about it like they were screamers like Gerrard's or Shearer's or Drogba's worldies. Stop the hype train. Really good at the most. I was expecting something magnificent listening to everyone but watching the highlights they were decent , emotions taken out of it.
Alan wants to talk about the laws of the game. Yet no Newcastle player got booked for waving imaginary cards at the ref did they.
What on earth is going on with Linekar's nose?!
I hope shearer is less biased in future episodes. So annoying to see.
Every comment is Nunez this Nunez that lads cop ur selfs on he did nothing last year this year I think he will do better but no where near erling the new goat haaland any Mbappé fans come back when he’s won a treble in his first season at a new club not that joke of a club psg
Hahahahahaha Alan and his passion merchants crying again

@@GeordieBoy69yellow card?
The irony of a Newcastle fan talking about time wasting 😂😂
I’m surprised no one’s said about the actual rule in the game now where if it’s a genuine attempt for the ball then it’s not a red. So even if it was a foul it shouldn’t have been a red for Van Dijk
thats ONLY for penalty area challenges - this was outside the box; if you want to try and cite 'actual rules', you really should make sure of your facts lol
Micha don’t say rodri is the best CDM in the world bro take it back because all the Tory rent boys will say Enzo is 👀 I agree as an LFC supporter home & away that Rodri is so f’n good!
Nunez is hit & miss... he will have the odd good game the rest he cant hit a fucking barn door. The effort is there but he does not have the killer touch to be a leading scorer
Who has scored 9 Premier League goals in his last 7 Premier League games? Taiwo Awoniyi. Listening to these Big Six jokers you wouldn't even know he existed. Big Six bias is real.
Let him do his thing quietly, he was good enough to be at Liverpool so he had the quality. You want to get his name big, I am assuming a Forest fan, if he keeps going, he won’t be there for long.
Nunez is a donkey but he's a pro footballer so will score the odd good goal.
Most people see a thoroughbred racehorse
Nunez is not even close to haaland let's not get confused after 2 goals
Pedri didnt come through barcelona's academy micah!!
