This podcast is the best football content out there right now. The chemistry between Gary, Micah and Alan is incredible! I love the stories from each of you and I can't help but laugh along. One request ...please get Gazza on for a chat, what an episode that would be!
The rest is football and the football fill in is all i need
Walker is a level above gary neville now. Not even to dog on Gary, very consistent for a lot of years but I can guarantee you Gary himself would say Kyle has eclipsed him now. Can play as a full back, wing back and centre back, explosive pace, ridiculous strength, relishes the one v one challenges he comes up against. Unreal and underrated
He has even done a mediocre job of 'tucking in' (CDM during attack) under pep
@@benjamincompton9767 yeah never really worked out which is why stones and Rico (Akanji and gvardiol recently) stepped up to do it instead but like you say all more to put on his cv
And in net
Fan question for the next episode: What is the best goal you ever saw in training (scorer and method)?
these podcasts are much better than those restrained by the BBC rules and such, Lineker in particular is much better when he is allowed to express his own opinion
Glad Gary gave Viv Anderson a mention. He often gets forgotten in conversations about England's greatest right-backs.
Titanic full back
Micah's boot story is hilarious :D What a great episode gentlemen!! Thank you for this podcast!
Bellingham is Gazza with a sound brain & maturity, the guy is destined to go to the top. The strides in his development year on year are scary and he’s only 20.
I’m not sure it’s a good comparison. Gazza was completely unpredictable and did things others couldn’t. Bellingham feels much more like a Gerrard kind of player. Excellent but not a maverick talent. That’s no bad thing either.
He is nothing like Gazza, stupid comparison, different type of player.
@@Youafool500 didn’t say he was the same player, just on the same level of talent ya spanner
@@Youafool500and I'm 😊😊oppp
@@Do27ggwhat makes you say that?
Being Scottish, I endured the last 30 minutes but still laughed .
Would love to see the English team go all out as they have so many wonderful players .
Tell Alan it maybe a little difficult getting in to Loch Lomond to play golf now 😊
that's refreshing to hear.....
You guys are absolutely brilliant. Please keep this up for as long as possible. Its a joy to watch.
Imagine sitting with Micah and Gary’s at his gaff getting a few beer watching the football. Proper super Sunday that would be.
Why so?@@pn2124
Another killer episode, keep em coming guys.
Another great podcast guys. Some lovely stories, Micah with his boots, for his 1st training session. Keep up the good work.
Bellingham is extraordinary - most exciting player to *burst onto the scene* since Rooney, in my opinion. He was the last player to have that feeling of 'the sky's the limit'. I don't think Rooney fully lived yup to the promise he had at 18, but Bellingham looks more well rounded and more likely to succeed. Player of the month for Real Madrid in his first month playing - five goals in four games. Wow.
I always thought that a bit about Rooney, which is quite something, when you consider how good a player he was. It's just in the end he turned out a top 10-15 player in the world at his peak, rather than top 2-3... still obviously incredible but never fully reaching the heights of his youthful promise.
@@usxnews1834- he was a force of nature at 18, just blew through teams. similar to R9 at the same age. he maybe became a more rounded player, but he never recaptured that raw impact.
as an english you are saying right!!
Yep. Its an underrated aspect of rooneys career actually, the fact that even with his legendary career he fell short of his initial promise. And thats disgusting.
I’m a blue so hard to say but did he really not fulfil his potential? Quite scary if true considering he’s still one of the best English players of all time
Alan is such a great admirer of Jude. You can see it everytime he speaks about him .
Could genuinely listen to you three all day talk about football, love it!
this podcast is giving me much needed smiles and laughs rn, thank you so much gents
I absolutely love watching you guys together and Alan is my hero keep up the great work fellas
This podcast is so good it bring me happiness seeing you upload
Love the honesty and insight from you guys. May it continue! Yes. I agree. Bellingham is the glue that sticks this team together.
So happy every time a new podcast drops 😁
I subscribed because of Micah. What a guy! Not just the fun spirit but very insightful comments too.
Absolutely great show chaps! Keep up the good work COYI !!
absolutely class show fellas, never stop
Cracking podcast 👏 keep them coming 👍
I am a 67 year old Scot and Bellingham is something else his skill level is off the chart and he is only 20 . The way he glides past players is reminiscent of all the best wingers l have seen and l have seen all the best . He is sure to be the best player in the world.
This is such a class podcast!
I love the episodes where you guys are in person❤, hopefully you guys can get that man down from the north 😂
my favorite podcast currently
Great episode, well done Gary getting Micah was a master stroke he is such a force of positive energy and hilarity, love the dynamism and Alan's dry wit and your mischievous comments 😝 can't wait for the next as the season kicks into full gear 🤜🏼
Love these podcasts! The three of you are hilarious
Great pod as always
Loving the podcast guys always excited for the next episode to drop! Question for you all what’s the thing you’ve missed most after hanging your boots up?
Seeing where Sevilla and Hertha Berlin are, I can't imagine that takeover being great
Read Philip Auclairs article on 777, better off with Moshiri
Love this lads 👏👌
Tall, eloquent, balanced, skillful and other similar superlatives to one player in particular... One Zinedine Zidane! Already one of the best midfielders in the world probably be the very best soon
Great work
Another great podcast 👌🏻
I can listen to all Micah stories all day.
Was Micah’s Mic on at the start!? That’s a magic trick to make him sound so quiet 😝 great show as always guys!
Wish they'd do it more often! I constantly have to lower the volume when he gets excited, does my head in! :D
@@WS12658 awww no. Love big Meeks! His enthusiasm is great!
After a long days work, you guys always put a smile on my face :)
Best football podcast - I used to listen to the ESPN guys but this is so refreshing and real 👏🔥
Such a credible podcast ..............from an All Blacks fan!
Hi Guys, Loving this BTW, 1 question please? What get discussed during half time? I get the impression it's what's been working/things to change tactically, Do you use any tablets, computers or to display to work out positional changes etc? I think it would be a good idea if the coach/manager asked the players their thoughts...
Thanks
God I hope Bellingham doesn't get injured, if he turns into wilshere I'm gonna be so pissed
they should fine players for excessive clebrations, and their team mates who jump on them should be double fined xD
He’s 100 times the player wilshire was already. Terrible comparison
Thing to remember with Wilshere is that he both drank and smoked. There is a pattern when you look at a lot of the players who had major injury problems. Even someone like Joe Gomez who does look after himself has talked about how growing up he used to massively overdo it in the gym. There's usually a reason why players can't stay fit. Bellingham doesn't seem like the type to be going out partying, getting caught smoking in the changing rooms, etc.
@@guitarreilly nah bro you're just moody and don't know as much as you think. Wilshere was hailed as a boy wonder in his teens, he was supposed to be England's talisman for the next ten years then the first bad injury happened and it was over.
@@guitarreilly and I never actually compared them as players
Another great podcast 🤟l
Best pod ever fr
Gary always gets me rolling when he jokes about something, haves a good laugh and then revert with "obviously we shouldn't be making fun of a very serious subject"...
excellent entertainment guys. Keep it going. I agree with Gary about the peeing bit as I am the same age.😄
There's more of an empahsis on fitness and speed and strength in todays football than ever before. Like Micah's story about how he knew if he ended up out a couple weeks he might lose his place to Zabaleta. The big squads with loads of options it must be even more pressure on players to keep themselves fit to keep there place and more chance now that they will take whatever so they can keep performing and training to stay ahead of the competition within the team
I feel as fans we often see great players and dint truly appreciate how good they are then they are forgotten due to injuries or bad transfers. so in your perspective as players could you speak on how truly gifted players like hazard, alexis sanchez, coutinho and di maria truly were
Really enjoying your podcasts but a little off topic will you still be doing the Match of the Day Top 10 as they are great too.
Did Micah and Gary have a few lines in the Halftime?
Great podcast and no need for the dramatic close up editing 😉
The last player I saw who was so good and complete at 20 was Rooney, and he turned out to have a decent career. Cant wait to see what Jude can do
Scotland were full of confidence going into the game but England are just a better side hands down,,,yes Scotland didn’t have a good game but I believe that’s because England made us look poor,,,this could actually be a positive for Scotland long term,,,I believe a footballer learns more from the defeats than the wins,,,hopefully this will keep my guys feet firmly on the ground,,,we are better as the underdogs,,,how some fans thought we could beat a world class England team baffles me
It warms my heart that Gary had micah round for tea and made him a ragu
Love the humour ❤
True Bellingham was excellent BUT I am always wary of the English putting players on a pedestal just so, later on, they can kick it away from under them! It is easy to take the praise, but will he be able to take the s - - t that will surely come some time down the road? Also glad to see the praise for Dunk....the guy that is the glue in the Brighton team making those around him seem maybe better than they really are.
14:57 Gaz is doing a Micky Flanagan there... "Fancy a livener?" 😂
I’ve become such a fan of Bellingham, the best talent I’ve seen that has the potential to challenge Mbappe and Haaland in the coming years for the Ballon D’or. Let’s hope he is able to unlock it!
He is good but don't do that buddy😂😂😂mbappe and halaand are 3 levels above bruv
Loving the show guys! Fan question for a future show:
If you could go back and sign for any team which you did not play for, who would it be and why?
Colin Reid
We gotta get this show to the masses share guys share
Get PL highlights added to this and get rid of BBC! 😆
They might as well be on itv with the ad breaks
Big Meeks sounds like he’s in slowmo 🍷🍷
Watched Viv when he was a skinny lad playing for Clifton All Whites. Cmon Spider!!!!
big up lads
Walker is easily the best English RB I’ve seen. Played well against Mbappe and Vini Jnr recently, 2 of the very best players in world football
Facts he's an animal
@@amerik556No he isn't, he's a human being.
@@Do27gg bit of a contradiction there!
@@Do27gg you’re calling him the best RB in prem and English history, then saying he’s overrated?? You don’t see how that’s contradictory?
@@Do27gg silly arguement
Coming back to the Doping talk after Neville and Keane said on a recent podcast that they definitely believed some team's(hinted at italian), they felt when they played against them in Europe were definitely on some form of PED's.
I agree with alan. Scotland have improved to be big tournament qualifiers. England have improved to possible tournament winners.
I'm not a massive fan of international football , at least not until it's tournament football & we have improved but it's just a personal opinion. But yep Bellingham 🔥
Hes burst onto the scene!! Like big meeks!! 🤣🤣
I get the train past Everton's new stadium once a week, and it is such a great stadium that it's just insane they could be a Championship club when they open it. As a red I am a little jealous of it, although I'd always prefer expanding Anfield because of the history. And whilst there is a sadness that we're almost coming to the end of the era of the two Liverpool clubs on either side of Stanley park, Everton's new stadium is really gonna be a sight to behold looking out over the Mersey. I hope they can get their act together. Just, not toooo successfully. Like if they're Europa League and we're Champions League. That'd work.
Please get Gazza on the pod.....🙏 what a lovely thing that would be.
Only time will tell. We have had special players before
Owen 98
Rooney 2004
Kane 2016
And teams picked around them
Let’s see if a decent team can preform and WIN. Nothing less
Only thing I would say about Walker v Neville, is that Walker has only really been right at the top for the last 4/5 years. Before that and despite playing at the likes of Spurs, he loved a mistake and actually, he was dropped from England on occasions (and plenty thought he was too prone to a mistake). Neville was right at the top for almost 20 years. Yes, not as technically sound, but far more consistent and that accounts for a lot. Easy to forget about that because Walker has been brilliant the last few years.
Wish this was format for Match of the Day 😂
Everton “without money” - regular European challengers
Everton with a billionaire owner - on the brink of administration, gone backwards every season since and are now a rudderless sinking ship.
The answer to the question “what could everton do with money?” Serves as a stark warning on how NOT to spend it.
I dont remember seeing a player burst on to the scene like Bellingham since maybe a young Micah Richards.
michael owen, rooney, saka, foden. theres quite a few really
@@PazLeBon you get jokes
I’ve seen both Neville and Walker hundreds of times, Neville was the better fullback. Ferguson would never drop Neville for a big game, as Pep did Walker in the Champions League final.
The athletic has a good article on doping in football. Apparently it’s far more common than people realise, it’s definitely covered up more than in other sports.
the athletic is the biggest sh#t stirring rag there is
Years back it was creatine
i was embarrassed at the sad behaviour of our english fans during the minutes silence..other countries are always far more respectful.. not to put a downer on things. love the show
Beautiful. But y’all still not beating France lol
Why there will be always funny stories with Micah? All left boots? Bwahahaha... BTW, greetings from Malaysia.
Micah should have stared in "there's only one Jimmy Grimble" if he thought it was Gerards boots that made him train better .
This is basically a vehicle for Shearer swearing lol
Ahh Alan we gotta talk about them curtains!!!
12:48 the criteria is to be Harry Maguire 😂he doesn’t want anyone else
Can we please have more of Gary's dog 🐕 on these podcasts 🙏 ❤
Bang on the 15 minute mark wtf did Gary do with his face 😂
It’s a friendly match, Southgate should of played Tomori and other young inexperienced players rather then stick maguire. Southgate is absolutely biased and really adds oil to the maguire fire.
should have not of dohhhhh brain
Pogba knew what he was doing
Only Micah burst onto the scene
The Maguire situation is just sad at this point 🥲 You can't even blame him anymore
No one else to blame for his poor performances other than himself. The own goal doesn't happen if he doesn't just stick a lazy leg out.
And when it comes to the abuse, all can be resolved simply by Southgate not calling him up. If he's not playing for England, then he's out of sight, out of mind and no one cares anymore. But unfortunately he keeps being rewarded for failure and that makes him a target
@@rory90FiVe yeah I really think Southgate is stitching him up at this point. He has no business being in the squad let alone on the pitch. But he just keeps doubling down to try and prove everyone else wrong, then gets defensive when (shock horror) it goes wrong.
@@bg22757 he also chose not to go to West Ham which would've taken him out of the spotlight and given him more game time. No reason to feel sorry for him
He (Bellingham) is playing well at the moment..i would suggest the media leave him play his game and concentrate, otherwise they will start to overrate him and expect miracles each time he plays.
Through all the memes and all the hate, Harry Maguire Just keeps on going! I really like His mentality. A real Professional in my eyes. Ultimately we could only blame Southgate
for what? playing a player he wants to play? lol blame the cry baby fans, the only ones crying and they cry at EVERYTHING
@@PazLeBon no, for being stubborn about the Back Line. Even though it is a Prestige duel, you can play Others to try them Out
I reckon Micah is right the doctors will be giving some dodgy stuff to players. In cycling the team doctors are always the ones at the center of doping, the riders know what they are doing but the doctors always give it to them
Micah is so funny love a few beers with him
u know him personally??
Dunk is what we thought Maguire was gonna be.
You think that Gary would have enough spare dosh laying around to splash out and pay someone to paint that garden fence properly?
I think rooney burst onto the scene pretty dramatically and he was only 16 scoring wonder goals for fun
And 5 years later they were booing him.
Noisy fickle England fans plus the shite press do nothing to help their team.
