I’ve had the suspicion for a few years that Bayern Munich was doping its players, but like Blatter I also kept saying myself “but you still can’t win only with doping; it may not do a difference anyway because is a team sport”. After watching this, I’m absolutely convinced at the very least Goretzka and Lewandoski are doped from head to toe; that massive body change is not normal. Goretzka is even starting to develop baldness for Christs sake and he’s not even 30!
As we say in spanish: “I have no proof, but also no doubts”

It's everywhere. Ramos tested positive in a UCL final, nothing happened. I'm pretty sure Ortega has been giving PED in Atleti for a decade (how those players were able to play that intense in 2014 those many games is beyond human), it's no coincidence Pintus makes every team he goes a winner, with Modric 37 years old defending this world cup with more intensity than anyone else in that team. And let's no forget Operación Puerto, in Eufemiano Fuente's office they found many bags of blood, not only from cyclists but football and tennis players as well. I'm pretty sure the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo or Rafa Nadal are on something, that is just no humanly possible.
Many Serie A players back in the 70s and 80s were on drugs, they said that themselves. And they played half the matches than today and with less intensity. One of them, I don't remember the name, said something of the like "we were on it playing 40 matches a year like Fiat 500. Now they play doble those games like Ferraris. What do you think?"
The question isn't if football players take PEDs. The question is how much, the game demands it and either you take them or you don't play even 2ªB.

One case that might be of interest is Operacion Puerto; Dr Fuentes was at the heart of the biggest doping scandal in cycling since Festina in 1998 and it resulted in a lot of cycling's biggest names receiving lengthy bans. The cyclists were identified by the sport but the lab held blood bags of footballers, athletes and tennis players who were never named. Real Madrid have some legal action against him ongoing as he's heavily hinted that they knew him and wondered why other names never came out. The truth of it is that almost every footballer uses PEDs for recovery, but liverpool and bayern use it (on specific players at least) for more than just that. And before you say "newbie gains" just remember that these are footballers in their 20s who already work out 10+ hours in the gym every week for 10 months a year. If newbie gains were a thing for footballers then ronaldo would've been jacked after one season at UTD, not on his 3rd/4th.

Alfonso Davies is of west African decent and for the most part have great muscle building genetics especially being 20 or so years old

Salah has had the same physique since Roma days apart from putting on maybe 2extra ibs of lean muscle a year

Perhaps these players are just supremely talented and have been allowed to succeed by proper care and sports science. Davies and TAA are strange to bring up with them being so young. We don't know what's natural for them. Also It's lazy analysis to say "high workrate = doping"

Amazing the consistent performances that certain players were able to make week after week for multiple years running in La Liga, Champions league, and for Spain. Another astonishing omission is the undercover camera revelations of Dr Mark Bonar, a disgraced Doctor who doped Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City. Amazing how this story wasn't headline news and didn't result in any clubs getting questioned, let alone titles getting stripped or players banned.

With all the money in it and against Blatter's point, just one player with enhanced performance can change a game... nay, an entire season! I'm not saying that Ronaldo/messi/lewandowski are doing them but to say the entire sport is clean. Utterly insane!

Usain Bolt answered a very important question for us, as he even after his sprinting career was over is a very solid athlete, but no football club worth a damn wanted to sign him.
The question is: "Is it better to take a top athlete and teach him football or take a footballer and make him a top athlete?"
As the case of Bolt showed, the former is hardly possible.
And I think we should not be as naivë to think we havent seen example after example of the latter happening.

    • @johan8969

Anyone who still think Usain wasnt doped to the gills is living in a state of denial. All the atheletes Usain competed against in his most important races were found guilty of duping. At this point the only thing that can prove it is if he admits it himself like a lot of cyclists later did, but that will never happen.
