I love all these loving comments!! I had no idea we would still be remembered all these years later!!! And beerjitsu, we thought we were huge!!! LOL As far as I know, we original members are all still living, some more than others...I haven't seen Mark (Zod) in many years, but still get a Christmas card. We had so much fun making these nutty videos !! The record company milked us on the TBM vid....Dancers??? Ha Ha Thanks for the love and KEEP ON ROCKIN !!! Steve L. (AKA Slam Thunderhide)
Finally found a copy on vinyl among a friends collection. Mine now! Takes me back to 1988 when I had the LP... Wouldn't surprise me if Rob Zombie took a leaf from your book BTW
newmansteve I remember this and every few years, either the band name or the tune pop's into my brain (the few cells still remaining after surviving the 80s and 90s) if you guy's are still touring plz let me know Rock On brutha 🤘🏼
Tattooed Beat Messiah is absolutely one of the greatest albums most people have never heard of. Some of the most brilliantly warped lyrics I have ever heard. Sex, sleaze, nasty guitars, leather and kaiser helmets. If you don't love that then you don't love metal. This goddamn band shoulda been HUGE!
My mum and dad bought me a heavy metal VHS tape for Christmas 1989 when I was 13. This was the first song on it. It blew my mind! I then was considered old enough to babysit my little sister when my parents went out for the night, and she and I used to sit and watch this video. We both thought the girls in it were so cool!
I remember the look of shock on my teacher's face when I was in my first year of primary school. We were doing profiles of ourselves like, Height, Age, etc. The teacher asked "Who is your favourite band or singer?" The look on her face when she heard me at 4 years of age say "Zodiac Mindwarp" :D
Prime Mover is priceless! Another video I love is "Rock'n'roll Psychosis" by The Jim Jones Review. There are no special effects or storyline, but it's still entertaining as hell. Rock on!
This is the most rock and roll song ever conceived, written and recorded. I've been saying this ever since. And this video? Cmon! Nothing on MTV has ever kicked more ass. I saw zodiac windwarp on a triple bill in I think 1987, maybe 1988, with guns n roses and UDO. Those were the days, man.
Saw them in Kilburn, some time late 80s I guess, I was wrecked they sang a song about electricity running through the atmosphere, so stoned I believed it
@@ryanhennessey977 I was there too, Maiden on the 7th Son tour. First time hearing GnR and Zodiac Mindwarp. Was a great show. ruclips.net/video/QLhJ4A4d6Mk/видео.html
I wear stationed in South Korea in 90-91 and I would always go to this one bar because they would play this song for me! Good times; sometimes to good!
I remember buying this album back in the day and loving it because it was soooo OTT that it was not remotely meant to be taken seriously. Hilarious video, fun song. I remember buying it because there was a review in the "FUN" section of the Baton Rouge, LA newspaper that said "this album will make you swear off recorded music." Nothing like a review like that from an old fart to make a teenager go out and buy the album. Almost as effective as the "Parental Advisory" stickers. lol
This is the quintessential rock video...this is like, the inventor of the "metal" stereotype...you know from when it wasn't a sterotype...chicks in leather, whips, nun's heads exploding, spaceships, a tank...GOOD SHIT!
I first saw Zodiac in late 1984 supporting Doctor & the Medics at the Heaven club in Charing Cross. My ears are still ringing! Truly turned up to 11. ZMATLR are still gigging, keep an eye out for them if they come to your town, they still rock. Also try and get hold of Zodiac's autobiography Fucked By Rock, it is the funniest book ever written and if 1% of it is true it is also the scariest book too. Love the Reaction!!
was fortunate enough to see them open for G'nR in philly in '88...believe it or not, they blew axl & co away!!! i ran out and bought this CD the next day...EFFIN BRILLIANT!!!!!
'Well I Love TV And I Love T. Rex'. This was the bands first hit that began with the Bolan standby of “Well.....” (See Get It On, Soul Of My Suit, Hot Love, Children Of The Revolution etc..), the chorus was Bolan-like too... 'Prime Mover, Baby You're M-I-N-E I'm The Groover'. This was the bands only top 40 hit and despite lots of media hype they disbanded in 1989.
I have loved Zodiac Mindwarp since 1987 but think about it: Living after midnight, rockin til the dawn... Once you hear this compared to Priest you'll never hear this song the same. Still rocks. I still have the tape.
I never felt like I got enough music from them. Driving on Holy Gasoline is still a staple on my Harley playlist when I ride. Glad I heard the music before I saw the videos LOL. Music is what matters though!
And it's so funny how songs can bring back memories. At 13 when my parents went out I was so scared about looking after my little sister. She once refused to go to bed because there was apparently a spider there (she is still petrified of spiders, she hates them! I quite like the little dudes). My parents were at the theatre, I stripped my sister's bed, and this spider had gone, I don't blame it, and in the end I put her in my bed, she eventually went to sleep and I sat watching this video until our parents got home. I was very cross! But despite our parents' weird way of raising children, my sister is my best friend - we're 47 and 44 now, both moved to Bristol and see each other twice a week, I really cared for that little girl - and we love this crazy video. And I love spiders (which is good regarding my sister as I still have to pick them up and put them out of the window!) Milly, you're the best sister anyone could ever have. Spiders not withstanding.
I owned the original cassette release once upon a time; seeing this again inspired me to buy the remastered & reloaded Collector's Edition of Tattooed Beat Messiah. This is one helluva rollercoaster ride back to the mid '80s. Gotta love it :o) !
According to Alice Cooper, the first time he heard this song he was convinced that he must have hearing himself, because this band sounded so much like him.
I love all these loving comments!! I had no idea we would still be remembered all these years later!!! And beerjitsu, we thought we were huge!!! LOL As far as I know, we original members are all still living, some more than others...I haven't seen Mark (Zod) in many years, but still get a Christmas card. newmannsteve playing this today, brings back great memories.
You blew my mind when i was young and your video came after a Moterhead video. Blessings
newmansteve I remember this and every few years, either the band name or the tune pop's into my brain (the few cells still remaining after surviving the 80s and 90s) if you guy's are still touring plz let me know Rock On brutha 🤘🏼
saw you at marquee in london my 1st gig about bloody time for a full line up full tattooed beat messiah play through i think
And this, kids, is why it was fun to be young in the eighties.
Morrissey's fave-rave
You got that right!
Totally!!!
Yeah! Yeahyeahyeah!! Hahaha!!!
TAKE THIS sjws1!!!!! Oh for the glory days when only the religious right got upset about this sort of thing.
Tattooed Beat Messiah is absolutely one of the greatest albums most people have never heard of. Some of the most brilliantly warped lyrics I have ever heard.

This goddamn band shoulda been HUGE!
Cobalt Stargazer and Flash Bastard on guitars. With names like that they were destined for rock music.
Yes Mr. and Mrs. Bastard are proud.
This is an important moment in history, here. This is when music video's peaked. Nothing before or since has exceeded this.
I actually just said this exact same thing yesterday for MTV’s 40th… this video was the peak.
Yeah, I'll agree!
First gig I ever went too in Bristol, cobalt died on stage we all had to scream to bring him back to life epic night ,

Love this classic
They should have been way bigger
Jason is in love everyone 💕 ❤ congratulations Jason for coming out and for telling the world 🌎
One of the greatest bands I have ever seen. Their records never did them justice.
Did you tell her who the guitarists were !!!
Still listening even now! Absolute Gold for our memories!
This video should have much closer to a billion views.
Arguably one of the greatest songs of all time.
I wouldn’t argue with that😂
Definitely the greatest video
Yeeeeeah, yeah, yeah, yeeeeeeah!!!
Definitely arguably 🤣🤣🤣💗
I wouldn't argue with the love dictator
This might be the single best video ever made. Seriously. I still watch it multiple times a year, after all these years. Just so much fun!
Prime Mover is priceless! Another video I love is "Rock'n'roll Psychosis" by The Jim Jones Review. There are no special effects or storyline, but it's still entertaining as hell. Rock on!
Bloody marvellous even after all this time. Cheers lads.
I have been trying to remember the name of this song and group for the last few years!!! Glad I found it again!!!
"I'm a sex fuhrer baby, I'm a love dictator" - genius.
Спасибо тебе, что выложил эту песню 16 лет назад. Я примерно столько её искал!
Saw these guys live at The Marquee in London in the mid-late 80's. Freaking awesome weird night!!! Especially for a teenager from Down Under, lol. 😊✌
And only 80s and 90s kids would have heard of them. Loved them😁
Just discovered this band on one my rock compilation CDs. Definitely in the top 5 songs on there.
1ST BAND I EVER SAW IN CONCERT...\m/ \m/...They opened a Triple Bill...Maiden Headlining...Guns N' Roses...and these bad Brits!!!! Love this Song....
Saw them in Kilburn, some time late 80s I guess, I was wrecked they sang a song about electricity running through the atmosphere, so stoned I believed it
OMG you are BLESSED!
I saw that tour too... 1988 in Toronto. So great! A band like this, you'll never forget!
@@ryanhennessey977 I was there too, Maiden on the 7th Son tour. First time hearing GnR and Zodiac Mindwarp. Was a great show.

Man now this just plain rock&roll the way it should be.
Had this album on repeat on my walkman at work back in the day; people must've thought I was nuts when this track was playing ;)
This has gotta be one of the best rock tracks from the Eighties. It's still great!!
I remember recording this video on VHS from MTV! these guys really stood out. I totally used to dig this video.
Saw these guys open for GnR spring 1988 in Danville Illinois
That's everything Rock and roll is about.
Enough said.
So friggen great. "your a disco reptile, a funky alligator". True genius rhyming lyrics.
"The Darkness" before the darkness..still love track..classic!
Still loving this in 2024 ❤
ahhhh sweet re-found zodiac mindwarp..... takes me back to my childhood... great guitars and lyrics....
still one of my favourite albums of all time.
Rock in all it's big, dumb glory. Loved this album back in the '80's, still love it today. "Holy Gasoline" is a classic.
Iam more than happy. I ve waited 15 years too see this again. I love it. my missus gona get it tonight.
Best regards to my favorite band from 2019
if I was a professional athlete, this would be my intro/walk on music!
I was addicted to this album..i had this basting on my boombox while skateboarding in my driveway and down the street...my neighbors were big fans,LOL
Remember the good ol'days when all we had to worry about were the clowns in the P.M.R.C?
Headbangers Ball days.
The Power Hour, for us folk that didn't have Sky. lol
Don't forget about mistress Julia and VH1 classic metal mania either yo.. it's all the same network even if Fred durst ain't hosting it lol....
a clip of video was shown on last night's repeat of Top of the Pops (over closing credits), good old BBC thankfully didn't censor the innuendos =)
I cant believe i havent heard of these guys before they freakin AWESOME !!!
I wear stationed in South Korea in 90-91 and I would always go to this one bar because they would play this song for me! Good times; sometimes to good!

This an absolutely superb song and video. I love it! If only it was in higher definition.
Steve is in love everyone 💕 ❤ congratulations Steve for coming 👏 out

Reminds me of Rock Night at the London Hippodrome on Wednesday
Met & hung out with these cats at Mustard’s after their show at Newport on Ohio State University campus in ‘88 or ‘89…good times
This takes me back, remember it well thanks for sharing
Wow man, you're so lucky to be able to see that show!! Those were THE times!
Correct name Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction ....the definition of underrated awesomeness
I saw these guys with Udo and Guns N Roses was an excellent concert
Someone at work said zodiac. I immediately came here
Great stuff from the heydays of real rock.
Had a dvd called “world shut your mouth” when I was about 8 or 9 featuring classics, this was one there! Great track

Quite possibly the best video ever made, by one of the best bands of all time.

I still have the rock and roll meltdown vhs laying aroud.
This was and still is camp as ****.
Magic
Still playing in 2023
was fortunate enough to see them open for G'nR in philly in '88...believe it or not, they blew axl & co away!!! i ran out and bought this CD the next day...EFFIN BRILLIANT!!!!!
" I'm a bad boy baby , I fell out of Heaven !! " yeah .
Ha ha. Michael 🤴
my my what a trip down memory lane... thanks for putting this video up. =)

I Remember this. great rocking toon!..Rock n Rollllll....😎
This song still rocks. There are 3 versions I own 2. It's a longer drum beginning...a bit more techno.Looked for it for years on vinyl.
Cannot beat the 80's
been searching for this for a long time had it on video god this brings back memories glad i got a tool to download this
I have loved Zodiac Mindwarp since 1987 but think about it: Living after midnight, rockin til the dawn... Once you hear this compared to Priest you'll never hear this song the same. Still rocks. I still have the tape.
I’m pretty sure they lifted that riff intentionally, once you consider what their whole m.o. was.
I never felt like I got enough music from them. Driving on Holy Gasoline is still a staple on my Harley playlist when I ride. Glad I heard the music before I saw the videos LOL. Music is what matters though!
still the best film music video ever
that takes me back a bit!!!

wow... funny finding this. Saw these guys open up for Guns-N-Roses in GR,Michigan back 1987 I think. Thanks for posting the video!
LMAO, Wow, blast from the past! Thanks for sharing this :)
What a blast from the past...Class
This video was on top of the pops in the 80's. Top stuff great track up loud.
Rob Zombie loved this so much he became Zodiac. Corny video, but the songs they wrote really rocked. Underrated.
This is a fabulous video!
According to Alice Cooper, the first time he heard this song he was convinced that he must have hearing himself, because this band sounded so much like him.
It's good to see that the costume department from Beyond Thunderdome got some work when the film sunk without trace. Steel Panther eat ya hearts out.
There are no words to describe how much Iove this.
fecking love it!!fabulous!!ahhhhhhh!!!
Big song in Okinawa's "East Coast" bar in 1989. Closed the bar every Saturday with this song. Ah, memories. 4th Marines STA forever.
Best rock video ever? Back when bands didn't whine and had a bit of selfirony. Saw'em last nite in Copenhagen - they still got it!
Mindwarp's book is a good read...F****d by Rock: The Unspeakable Confessions of "Zodiac Mindwarp
The Sega Pirate TV campaign promotional tape in the UK from the early 90s brought me here.
One of the great rock songs of the 80s and a vid to boot. Zodiac may have been a joke but it was big fun while it lasted!
Awesome band awesome album
Great song...brings back some good memories
great great song great attitude!great song of the end of 80ies
I'd go see them again, awesome time was had.
Directed by Adrian Edmonson, the stage show used to have drapes down each side with ZZ on them.
