you should check out the History of making Stay Hungry and how it almost didnt even happen... Its fascinating how much shit these guys had to go through to get a record deal, even they though had been dominating the East Coast music scene for a decade, making more money live than a lot of bands who were labeled.
I love TS! I never had the honor to see them live, (back in the 80s, I couldn't go to concerts), but I did watch a TS concert in the early days of MTV. My dad was sleeping on the couch, so I had to keep the volume low. He woke at the tail end of the concert, and was shocked to see the band. I said, "It's a TS concert. I keep the volume low to not disturb you.", and my dad replied, "That was very thoughtful of you, but if you were really thoughtful, you'd turn this off." My dad was pretty cool when it came to music through the 50s-80s. Even though he didn't care for Def Leppard, Ozzy Ozbourne, Van Halen, etc, when people mentioned them, and other bands, artists, whether he liked them, or not, he did know of whom you were speaking. Then the 90s arrived, and he became officially clueless! He passed in 2008, and while we had our problems, there was a lot of music we both liked, and enjoyed together.
Even if they're old now (60y for D Snider ^^) they rock like hell. I just saw them in Belgium at the Graspop, I've been waiting for so long to see them, and it was totally worth it, that was just the best show of the festival !!! Energy, power, they know how to sell it. And that song is just....awesome !!! Long live the Twister Sister !!!
I think this song and the Twisted Sister scene was actually one of my favorite parts of this movie. The clowns, scary surgeon and Large Marge freaked me out, Large Marge's scary face she made was another reason why I had troubles sleeping that night. Who'da thunk a little kids favorite part of this movie was the performance of a song called 'Burn In Hell' by a heavy metal band. That probably explains why I like this genre so much.

I WISH so very much that i could go back in time, back to the 80s (BEST TIMES for me) AND go back to all the FUN parties, all-nighters at the beach, dances, etc., that we used to go to (to get drunk And stoned) AND do it all over again, lmao! First off, AJ's drums on this sing are freaking incredible. Secondly, this version is a little different than the album, maybe edited for time or something. Bought Stay Hungry in 1984 and know it like the back of my hand.
Magic. Only realised that Dimmu Borgir covered Twisted Sister… TS were great in 80s MTV videos, big Dimmu Borgir fan, killer symphonic Black Metal covering Trans legends, fantastic. Craig in Alford Scotland
.....so, back in the day, I was playing this in the car and my father (who was 55 at the time) was singing along too. Pure rock n' roll theatre with deep-rooted musical ability, that's why Twisted Sister and Alice Cooper were big in the U.K. ..... pure musical ability! There was a lot of stiff competition in the UK at the time so other bands that might've been big elsewhere didn't enjoy the same success there. Still Twisted!
Someone's gotta tell me where this version of the track is from?! It's KILLER!!!! A song culled from a time of bush parties, house parties, car parties in the high school parking lot... Kids today got so ripped off, they won't have most of that fun now. We needed a cautionary tale of a song or two, and this was a beauty.

+Alexander Steiner One of the few true joys in life is seeing your child get enjoyment from the same thing you enjoyed as a child. I outgrew Pee Wee decades ago. But to see my boy enjoy it years later is satisfying.
+Alexander Steiner Yeah I never quite got the controversy. An Adult masturbating in an Porn theatre? Really? That's like being shocked to see people leaving a church on Sunday.
+Jeff Camire Apparently from what I understand he wasn't even in the actual theatre, he was in the lobby and got caught up in the raid..wrong place, wrong time..and there is (allegedly) film of this from security surveillance cameras... but by the time the facts about this came out, the damage was already done..shame because I thought he was really funny...
Well, there was also the child porn controversy in the early 2000's. One person said that there were three Hollywood celebrities charged with child porn at that time, one of them went to jail, and two of them, Paul Reubens and Jeffrey Jones, got probation only because of their fame and fortune. Whether everything that person said was true, I have no idea.

To Lebzul Dark Ambient-The song done here is from their 2004 album called still hungry. This is the way that they WANTED to do this song when they did the stay hungry album back in 1984, but the record company that they were with (Atlantic) said no, and Twisted Sister was forced to do a lighter version of this song. In 2004, when Twisted Sister put out their album, Still Hungry, all of the songs on Still Hungry were redone the way that they were originally written and rehearsed. Still Hungry is much heavier, scarier, and has much bigger balls than Stay Hungry ever did!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Jason Odermatt I believe thats what he meant...it's on both albums but the version used here is the re-recording of the song from 2004's Still Hungry album which contains the Stay Hungry songs recorded as the band would have liked to have recorded them back in 1984, but were unable to for whatever record company related reason..you both said the same thing basically. Cheers
wasn't it Atlantic Records? I think I saw somewhere an album released called 'The Atlantic Years'. Supposedly Atlantic wanted them to present a lighter image of themselves and their music.
I just watched this movie, after many years, gotta say I laughed my ass off!!!, I had to look for it again and found it just to laugh it off AGAIN!!! This Oldy Is A GoodY, at my age of 47 its pretty funny!
This where Jack Black gets his ideas from lol. Twisted Sister was my first metal band back when Stay Hungry came out. And the movie, and the Pee-Wee Herman show were also fun entertainment.
Oh man. One of my all time favorite movies ever. One of Tim Burton's best. Large Marge. Lol. That shit scared so many kids at sleep overs. And twisted sister. Check out the " the price" if you don't know it. It's their ballad, but it's really a good song
These were fantastic times. First album I ever bought for myself at 10yo. Remember when rock was music was the biggest threat to America and Christianity? Turns out it was the government that was satanic, not the music.
I love how the chorus goes into a single line of More Than A Feeling. Uncle Tom's Cabin... ["I know a secret down in uncle Tom's cabin"] More Than A Feeling... ["I know a secret that I just cant tell"] Uncle Tom's Cabin... ["I know a secret down in uncle Tom's cabin. Know who put the bodies in the wishing well."] Warrent had so many great songs, but this and Down Boys is my favorite. I think it is the key/tone changes in between the verses and during the choruses. In Down Boys, it's the "Youuuuuu. Can we rewind to where weve been" part. It's simple stuff, but they dress it up so nice, it should be a teen movie about an "ugly" girl.
You did a great job, most fan made videos on RUclips are incoherent messes, but yours integrates with the music which makes it look like they belonged together. Good Job!
Curious if anyone knows where this cut of Burn in Hell is taken from? It's definately not from the studio album. I really love it. Its more raw than the album version
It's from their 2004 album Still Hungry, which had re-recorded versions of all the songs from Stay Hungry, plus some bonus tracks. And I agree with you, this version is superb.
Lyrics Twisted Sister - Burn In Hell Welcome to the abandoned land Come on in child, take my hand Here there's no work or play Only one bill to pay There's just five words to say As you go down, down, down You're gonna burn in hell Oh, burn in hell You can't believe all the things i've done wrong in my life Without even trying i've lived on the edge of a knife Well, i've played with fire, but i don't want to get myself burned To thine own self be true, so i think that it's time for a turn Before i burn in hell Oh, burn in hell Take a good look in your heart, tell me what do you see? It's black and it's dark, now is that how you want it to be? It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate Make your choice now for tomorrow may be far too late And then you'll burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you Oh, burn in hell Lay no evil down on me You're gonna burn in hell Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you Oh, burn in hell Play with evil, 'cause i'm free Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you Lay no evil down on me You're gonna burn in hell Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you Play with evil, 'cause i'm free You're gonna burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you Lay no evil down on me You're gonna burn in hell Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you Play with evil, 'cause i'm free You're gonna burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you see no evil Oh, burn in hell Don't you lay no evil down on me You're gonna burn in hell Speak no evil, don't you think no evil, Oh, burn in hell Don't you play with evil, 'cause i'm free You're gonna burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you see no evil Oh, burn in hell Don't you lay no evil down on me

As long as we're nit-picking... Slayer definitely isn't heavy metal either - they're thrash metal. Being labeled "heavy metal" doesn't automatically make something good or bad.
Slice Heavy Metal, Hair Metal, whatever. The point is that all forms of Metal were better back in the 1980's (and early 90's!) than what it is today. That even goes for a couple of Glam Metal bands that didn't make me puke.
GOFLuvr same. I hate most of the 80s glam metal or ggethair metal shit, but a few bands are great, or had some great records. Early Motley Crue, GnR, Skid Row, W.A.S.P. and indeed Twisted Sister are all pretty awesome

"Simone...everyone I know has a big but. Tell me about your big but Simone". One of my favorite comedies of all time!!!
Stay Hungry was raw from start to finish. There was no bad song on that album. Francis was one of the greatedt villains ever. To this day, I use the phrase "Exhibit Q!" and the analogy of saving the snakes! Thanks for posting👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
you should check out the History of making Stay Hungry and how it almost didnt even happen...
I love the moment when he sings: hear no evil speak no evil…
And so til end
Even if they're old now (60y for D Snider ^^) they rock like hell.
I just saw them in Belgium at the Graspop, I've been waiting for so long to see them, and it was totally worth it, that was just the best show of the festival !!! Energy, power, they know how to sell it. And that song is just....awesome !!!
Long live the Twister Sister !!!

This was right up my alley.I loved this movie, when it came out must have watched it a million times.Plus, who doesn’t love Twisted Sister.🤘
you forgot to put a space between times. and plus, so now its a hyperlink
Great movie. With the best band ever .TWISTED SISTER.😊😊 I used to go see them at The night owl in Norwalk Ct every thursday night back in the day.I have all there albums.😊😊
RIP AJ, one of the greatest drummers of our time.
Love Pee Wee! And Twisted Sister always rocked!
I just turned 48 this month and this brings me back to so MANY awesome, fun times when i was a teenager! I miss my pal Patty (R.I.P. "Party Pat")! We'd go to the beach every weekend to get drunk And stoned! I KNEW of this song and this group WAY BEFORE it ever came out on Pee-Wee's Movie! "The Price" is ALSO another Awesome T.S. song! I WISH so very much that i could go back in time, back to the 80s (BEST TIMES for me) AND go back to all the FUN parties, all-nighters at the beach, dances, etc., that we used to go to (to get drunk And stoned) AND do it all over again, lmao! Have a FUN weekend to all you "kiddies"! :-D Be safe, stay OUT of trouble and stay AWAY from hell, hoooorraaaah! :-)

First off, AJ's drums on this sing are freaking incredible. Secondly, this version is a little different than the album, maybe edited for time or something. Bought Stay Hungry in 1984 and know it like the back of my hand.
From the Still Hungry re release of Stay Hungry. Worth a listen, a few cool different versions of the classics.
Funny you say that I know it well to and it was like wait this is a little different.
Sounds like a re-recording to reclaim publishing rights. This is a recent version tuned a half step down with raw drums.
@@raypowers8083 Drums are much better in this one.
Magic. Only realised that Dimmu Borgir covered Twisted Sister… TS were great in 80s MTV videos, big Dimmu Borgir fan, killer symphonic Black Metal covering Trans legends, fantastic. Craig in Alford Scotland
Dee Snider as Capt Howdy in Strange Land is an overlooked gem. Give it a view if you haven't

Good movie.
"I meant to do that." The classic comeback for every fail in life.
.....so, back in the day, I was playing this in the car and my father (who was 55 at the time) was singing along too.
Rest in Power Paul! Thank you for your art!
Stay Hungry is a masterpiece of Heavy Metal!
It look like people forget it!
Why?
Probably because of their ridiculous outfits, they are a great band (aside from their most popular songs) but their outfits were kinda clownish
@Cherry Well yes, but it doesn't change peoples opinions on them. I try to not imagine how they look like while listening to the music
They did have a different take on hair/glam metal. I actually liked it though and they could our rock a lot of bands
This is from Still Hungry. It’s the re-recorded version. Even though it was the original version in the movie.
TS and Quiet Riot were early 80's metal.....the best! Motley and Ratt came next!
Still love pee wee and it's almost 2020. And also one of my all time fave songs!

Someone's gotta tell me where this version of the track is from?! It's KILLER!!!! A song culled from a time of bush parties, house parties, car parties in the high school parking lot... +Alexander Steiner One of the few true joys in life is seeing your child get enjoyment from the same thing you enjoyed as a child. I outgrew Pee Wee decades ago. But to see my boy enjoy it years later is satisfying.
+Alexander Steiner which movie is this?? brings memories back for me too
Johannes Holmquisth Pee Wee's Big Adventure
I don't care what he did in the porn theatre. At least he didn't drug anyone or touch any kids. He touched himself; who doesn't?
+Alexander Steiner Yeah I never quite got the controversy. An Adult masturbating in an Porn theatre? Really? That's like being shocked to see people leaving a church on Sunday.
+Jeff Camire Apparently from what I understand he wasn't even in the actual theatre, he was in the lobby and got caught up in the raid..wrong place, wrong time..and there is (allegedly) film of this from security surveillance cameras... but by the time the facts about this came out, the damage was already done..shame because I thought he was really funny...
***** Hey a lot of celebrities do a lot worse and it gets covered up.
Jeff Camire Yeah, I know, right? I watched The playhouse every Saturday morning.

+Ron Shank NO it was on Stay Hungry from 1984 then re recorded on Still Hungry
+Jason Odermatt I believe thats what he meant...it's on both albums but the version used here is the re-recording of the song from 2004's Still Hungry album which contains the Stay Hungry songs recorded as the band would have liked to have recorded them back in 1984, but were unable to for whatever record company related reason..you both said the same thing basically. Cheers
anyway, the originals are better!
Why the fu#k was it banned?
wasn't it Atlantic Records? I think I saw somewhere an album released called 'The Atlantic Years'. Supposedly Atlantic wanted them to present a lighter image of themselves and their music.
I am 48 years old this year and I love this song.

Are you shitting me? Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure!
The part where Pee Wee tried to smuggle a file to Mickey in a foot long hot dog cracked me up...one foot long *wink*...🤣
I love this song! Never knew it had a video to go along with it, bonus!
It doesn't, this is a fan made video not official at all. ;)

Twisted Sister - Burn In Hell
Welcome to the abandoned land
Come on in child, take my hand
Here there's no work or play
Only one bill to pay
There's just five words to say
As you go down, down, down
You're gonna burn in hell
Oh, burn in hell
You can't believe all the things i've done wrong in my life
Without even trying i've lived on the edge of a knife
Well, i've played with fire, but i don't want to get myself burned
To thine own self be true, so i think that it's time for a turn
Before i burn in hell
Oh, burn in hell
Take a good look in your heart, tell me what do you see?
It's black and it's dark, now is that how you want it to be?
It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate
Make your choice now for tomorrow may be far too late
And then you'll burn in hell
Hear no evil, don't you
See no evil, don't you
Oh, burn in hell
Lay no evil down on me
You're gonna burn in hell
Speak no evil, don't you
Think no evil, don't you
Oh, burn in hell
Play with evil, 'cause i'm free
Hear no evil, don't you
See no evil, don't you
Lay no evil down on me
You're gonna burn in hell
Speak no evil, don't you
Think no evil, don't you
Play with evil, 'cause i'm free
You're gonna burn in hell
Hear no evil, don't you
See no evil, don't you
Lay no evil down on me
You're gonna burn in hell
Speak no evil, don't you
Think no evil, don't you
Play with evil, 'cause i'm free
You're gonna burn in hell

Twisted Sister - Queimar no Inferno
Bem-vindo à terra abandonada
Venha criança, pegue a minha mão
Oh, queime no inferno
Oh, queime no inferno
Oh, queime no inferno
Não coloque nenhum mal em mim
Você vai queimar no inferno
Não fale nenhum mal, não é
Não pense no mal, não é
Oh, queime no inferno
Jogar com o mal, porque eu sou livre
Não ouvir o mal, não é
Não veja o mal, não é
Não coloque nenhum mal em mim
Você vai queimar no inferno
Não fale nenhum mal, não é
Não pense no mal, não é
Jogar com o mal, porque eu sou livre
Você vai queimar no inferno
Não ouvir o mal, não é
Não veja o mal, não é
Não coloque nenhum mal em mim
Você vai queimar no inferno
Não fale nenhum mal, não é
Não pense no mal, não é
Jogar com o mal, porque eu sou livre
Você vai queimar no inferno
Ouça nenhum mal, você não vê nenhum mal
Oh, queime no inferno
Oh, queime no inferno
Oh, queime no inferno

when Heavy metal was real heavy truly heavy metal..
Emery Meza
I think you mean hair metal
This is not heavy metal
Slayer from the 80's was heavy metal
As long as we're nit-picking... Slayer definitely isn't heavy metal either - they're thrash metal.
Being labeled "heavy metal" doesn't automatically make something good or bad.
Slice Heavy Metal, Hair Metal, whatever. The point is that all forms of Metal were better back in the 1980's (and early 90's!) than what it is today. That even goes for a couple of Glam Metal bands that didn't make me puke.
GOFLuvr
same. I hate most of the 80s glam metal or ggethair metal shit, but a few bands are great, or had some great records. Early Motley Crue, GnR, Skid Row, W.A.S.P. and indeed Twisted Sister are all pretty awesome
Not that evil crap that has no talent being forcefed down our throats by the industry.
This is the type of Metal to which a REAL MAN listened back in the day.
Time to bring back that Metal attitude and show the world what REAL TUNEAGE is all about.
May God richly bless you for recognizing what true music really should sound like.
