    Thanks for an honest review showing that after 4 years there’s really no performance increase. Very similar to when the i210 replaced the i200 …

    I still play either my I series E1 or my G30’s and they still play fine! Newer woods and hybrids are more important.

    I just got fitted for the 525’s by a ping fitter. Thought I was sold on the 430’s but too chunky for me, then tried the 225 and more player irons. 525’s were just perfect. More distance…trakman had me at 8 yards longer on each club vs my callaway epics plus great sound and feel at impact. Cant wait for them to arrive in a couple weeks

    Can't imagine the 525s feeling that much better than the 500s i hit. They felt great and had an extremely high launch and straight path. They did have graphite shafts, maybe that made them so soft.

    How's it compare to the Mizuno and Taylor made player distance irons?

    Best thing about the i525 was that it made the cost of nice used i500's come down and become affordable.

    Really hard to justify the price tag for a tad "softer" feel thanks to hot melt sauce strips on the back of the face. The i59 seems to have had more of the R&D dollars invested in it.

      An aluminum insert nothing much more .. certainly doesn’t justice by $259/club .. heck even PXG gen 4 are 5x forged to justice cost but ping 🤦🏽‍♂️ has lost its mind

      @@GolfRx PXG is no longer the "premium" manufacturer they set out to be several years ago. Not even close. They "discount" or bundle just about everything.

      I have the i500’s and they are the best irons I’ve ever used. Got fit for them in 2020 and they were 2 years old at the time and they were still 1700$. So they do hold the value. You wouldn’t be disappointed in them for sure

  • @lawbinson
    @lawbinson 2 года назад +1

    With Ping being a “smaller” company and already constrained with delivery times, I wonder if the pricing is set that way to limit volume.

    I chose i500 when they 1st came out because there was NO injected polymer garbage in them like all the others. Can't believe they use injected polymer in the i525. Trash! The i500 is a perfect iron. I have been in love since purchase years ago. Guys that use my irons to "try it out" on the course and driving range, are blown away when they feel the butter of the i500. Try one and you will see. Best irons I've ever hit in 25 yrs of golf. I'm 40 now...

      I got fit for some irons in 2020 and I got the i500’s. I didn’t think I’d like Ping but man I’ve had them for 2 seasons now and I love love love them. The feel is second to none.

    Always too little spin in these types of irons. And from a hollow construction you get those horrible feel in your hands when you hit em high on the face which happens when I try to deloft them.

    • @marcknightly9677
      @marcknightly9677 2 года назад

      Less backspin is one reason why I bought the i500s. Previously I had the s59 which used to spin me back off the green way too much :(

  • @davidmeeks7449
    @davidmeeks7449 Год назад

    Basically no difference except less spin from a different shaft. And Ping added a little hot melt. To me the sole of the i500 was better.

      You’d be shocked how easy they are to hit. Idk how many times in the two years I’ve had my i500’s and people were blown away cuz they thought they were blades. You can’t go wrong with either one. You’ll love them
