Sabemos que si es serie es ficción. Pero cuando el médico que habla, habla de verdad.... la sangre es sangre y no jugo de tomate. Uffff .... qué impactante!. Es fuerte.... aplausos para los médicos
As some one in chronic pain, it does help a bit to find something to joke about or something good to say. When you're sick from the pain, the meds, the lack of sleep, or even not being able to keep your eyelids open, its alway nice.
Have you thought about trying to contact Dr. Mike for a collab reaction thing? Get perspectives from one another’s specializations. Not to mention countercoup upon landing. It was rather fake in that his head just remained down like it was superglued to the floor. A fall like that actually has no neck protection and will result in a whiplash. It was a bit jarring the way the fall scene in the bar room happened.
About 3 years ago I had repeating episodes of SVT and NVST, causing me to pass out and also have panic attacks which made the situation worse. I had a full workup from EKGs to Echos, to stress tests and everything came back normal. I now have a Insertable monitor in my chest that monitors my rhythm continuously to see if they can spot/catch the issue when it happens. Not exactly fun times lol.
I need to rewatch the "trampoline" episode. such a good premise. Shaun doing yet another of his miracle diagnosis as usual, but pass out before he can fully pronounce it. I forgot what the diagnosis was, but the point of the episode, is that it had most of the syllables of "trampoline", hence the title and confusion.
6:25 I think like that at time when I am attempting to help ,I visualize the basic textbook anatomy and work off there wile trying to understand the patent for not everyone is alike under the skin
Yes I have passed out multiple times, usually on hard wood floors, but luckily I was always at home where someone found me. My mom was a nurse and said it kept happening because I was hypoglycemic (low blood sugar). I haven’t passed out in quiet awhile, as long as I remember to eat
Well, my experience passing out was during a migraine in 2018. I had gone to take a shower to see if it would ease up. I woke up a week later in the hospital with staples in my dome. The cause for my headaches turned out to be a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Leg doesn't work like it used to and I have occasional seizures, but I haven't had a headache since though, plus I'm still alive, so it's a win in my book.
I have something called ”Vasovagal Syncope” which can cause fainting/seizures because of the heart rate and blood pressure which drops very suddenly. Triggers to this can be stress, emotional distress, sight of blood and rapid temperature changes.
Even though I haven’t sat down and watched The Good Doctor, this is a program that accurately portrays a person with autism and as someone who has it herself I did struggle with it for a period of time. Also did you know that Shaun’s actor, Freddie Highmore, also played Charlie Bucket in the 2005 remake of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp?
I already passed out due to epilepsy, I woke up completly desoriented my 3 most traumatics (in a mental way) was the first time, when I fell down the stairs and when I was alone in my flat (I was in visio with a friend, even if she was really far she called the emerencies and the fireman came to check me and send me to the hospital, Never give up a friend like that) I really like to joke on my epilepsy because crying will not fix it, so laugh help me communicate it and tell the others what to do (for exemple: "I'm more a party man than you, I don't even need music to danse techtonik, just a stromboscopic light is enough")
Can you do medical shows from the 60s and 70s? I like to see you look shows like MASH, Emergency and other medical shows front that time you can find a lot of these shows online!
I like your reaction! I can't wait for a new reaction to this series! To be honest, I'm 15, but I love this series, although in the future I don't want to be a doctor, but the series is really good!
I sure wish my Autism would give me his powers and knowledge. Instead I get asked the weirdest questions. Being autistic doesn't make anyone super intelligent. Because I sure know nothing
Hey doctor I really hope you read this!! Awesome content love the real life lessons!! I had two instances where I passed out. Both very different. 1st one around the age of 15 I was a light weed smoker and I was with friends some older and i took a bong rip. I started feeling dizzy and extremely lightheaded along with chest pains. I asked my friend to call the hospital cuz I personally thought I was having a heart attack. The scary part was after I collapse I could hear my friends around me taking to the emergency dispatch. I couldn't move open my eyes the only thing I could do was manually breathe. I was responsive after I was hoisted up on the stretcher. Hung with these friends for years after and couldn't figure out what happened to me As for the second one: age 20-21 i was homeless and using meth at the time. Was collecting recyclable and was about to cross the street when I woke up being handcuffed and thrown in a police car. It felt like there was no in-between.I was in a state of shock and extreme psychosis when was woken up.didnt help the cop didn't try to let me get my barring, I knew who and where I was but everything unreal. Hopefully you read this and can help me understand it better.
I remember when i was 15 and I fell asleep walking to school from being exhaustion, one minute I was stood up the next I was laid near the road but never went to hospital since I was just tired
Once I stayed at the hospital for a week because, from trial and error, I had appendicitis. During my stay, I went to the bathroom and I was fine going to it, but I was nearing my bed and I collapsed and blacked out. Next thing I knew, there were nurses around me and I lost track of time for a bit. Scary experience then.
I think i passed out 3 times. The first on was when i had a flu and not much movement for 2 weeks. I was making a little walk nearing the end and collapsed with extreme dizzyness an headache just as i was home. I dont think i was away very long. The next time was a bit misterious. Because is just collapsed in school sitting on my chair. Out of nowhere. I kinda remember talking to a Medical person in school who was called. And the next think i know is waking up in hospital the next morning. They did some testing: MRT of my head. (I think NMR is the English Term. The thing with the Magnets) and some Brainwave reading while sleeping a bit later. But They found nothing. The last time was like 20 years later. I was sick and in my bathroom. I got an urge to vomit so i put my head over the bathtub to vomit inside of it. Next thing i know was me lying next to the bath tub cold sweating. (No Vomit though) With some srapes due to the fall.
I have passed out before but all that happened was i went to the doctor the next day. I passed out due to my blood pressure dropping from me standing up too fast without a lot of fluid in my system. I rarely have these problems these days. From what my doctor said, it's very common. I think me falling onto the area rug instead of the hardwood floor was a better outcome. I most likely got a concussion though.
I would be happy if you react to The Evil Within 1 and 2 and maybe Outlast franchise (both is a great horror and thriller video games.), or the Bones series becouse they're so fanny! Great videos anyway!
I lost consciousness a little, but it was all under the same circumstances, so I was not examined. It was the first day of my period and a hot May school day. This summer I fainted when I went for an abdominal ultrasound on a bike, I didn’t eat anything, it was hot and I climbed a hill, I didn’t get into that ultrasound.
I have no fear of IV needles, but on one occasion after the IV needle was inserted near the bend of my arm, my vison started shrinking and going black around the edges of my sight until I couldn't see anything. Before blacking out, called out to a nurse to remove the needle, I couldn't see anything or say anything, but I could hear numerous nurses around me talking and working as quickly as possible to remove the IV needle and revive me. I come around and was fine again. I was later told by one of the nurses that the needle had gone through the vein and came into contact with a major nerve in my arm. The needle was reinserted properly this time. The experience was really weird. BTW, I knew all the nurses.
Weird and interesting... I would think a needle coming into contact with a nerve in one's arm would cause something anywhere from "pins and needles" or numbness to "electric shooting pains" and/or paralysis or spasms in the limb, itself... NOT a black-out. Kind of strange twist to how nerves and neurological responses work... ;o)
@@gnarthdarkanen7464 I've had nerve conduction tests before, and it's quite a painful jolt. With the needle, which was for an IV, it wasn't overly comfortable, but not terribly painful. What was disturbing was blacking out. I don't know how long I was out like that, but I do know there were several nurses working on me. I could hear them, but I couldn't see them, and I reached a point that I couldn't speak. I figured if that that it for me, then there's nothing I can do. But as it turned out, they did revive me, which seemed like it took forever, and I was okay. All I know about the cause is that one of the nurses, who I knew well, told me the needle went all the way through the blood vein, and either hit or was too close to a major nerve. It was like that for far too long before help gathered around me. When it was reinserted in a different spot, everything was okay.
@@NightBazaar Well, for what it's worth, it's taken decades of arguing and we're STILL not entirely clear about the Vagas nerve, other than the "Vagal Nerve Response" IS a thing... so there's still a LOT that the neurologists haven't quite fleshed out entirely. The Good Doctor being an autism representative is like using Generalized Anxiety to represent Postpartum Depression
When I was, like, 4 or 5 I fell out of a Chili's booth and smacked my head on the floor. I remember the c-collar being super uncomfortable.
