5:04 For those who dont know - Southern Indian Cinema is used to refer collectively to the four distinct film industries of Tollywood (Telugu in Andhrapradesh/telugana states), Kollywood (Tamil in Tamilnadu state), Mollywood (Malayalam in Kerala state) and Sandalwood / Chandanavana (Kannada in Karnataka state) as a single entity.
No one cares outside India.
I was laughing my a$$ off when you said "Mollywood" but "Sandalwood" destroyed me 💀🤣🤣🤣
I'm not lying... Kannada cinema is called as Sandalwood or Chandanavana
Or should have simply gone Indian movie medical scenes
We should just call Indian cinema collectively as Indiwood or smtng

I love this movie and started watching this to see if they covered it. A lot of people think it would have been way better if they had omitted this whole scene.
I will forever have, "you are rusticated!!" stuck in my head. I guess it had to be a huge scene to bring the two men together.

The film scene at @4:46 is "Hrudaya Kaleyam" a Telugu-language spoof comedy film, that pock and parodies commonly seen scenes of various movies . the movie uses satire and humor to exaggerate and parody elements like dramatic dialogues, over-the-top action sequences, and other familiar tropes . I enjoy this creative spoofs 😇
It is so refreshing to see Mike actually having deep medical conversations with another doctor outside the podcast and with some humor, but not to the level that it gets cut off.
5:39 Dr. Alok's "I love my country" after watching this scene i cackled 💀
Politeness to others can also be a cultural thing. I'm from Georgia and we greet anybody we make eye contact with. It's considered the norm, it's basic decency, and even if it's not genuine, we put a smile on and nod our head and say 'hey, how are you?' BUT I have a British best friend who says that would be incredibly weird and unwelcome there. I always greet the local cleaning staff, but to some people that is weird to do.
Love how they matched energy
I love the “he could’ve done it” after looking up a Cheetah’s weight when it clearly wasn’t a Cheetah 😅 It was either a Leopard or Jaguar. Cheetahs are tiny in body mass compared to those.
I came to the comments looking for this! Thanks for saying it!
Yeah that was definitely a leopard and they can weigh twice as much as a cheetah 😂 They are stronger and bulkier as well. An adult man realistically can bully a cheetah into submission, but a leopard will most likely destroy a human.
Thank you! I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice.
I'm leaning towards leopard. The tail seems too long for a jaguar, plus I don't see spots inside the rosettes.
just finished commenting that it was a Jaguar lmao. It's hard to see because the scene is so quick but I'm pretty sure I saw rosettes
As a snake lover I was so impressed that this doctor not only correctly identified a snake based on description but also knew who would be able to identify a snake bite. And yes we are able to identify a snake by its bite colubrids, elapids, and vipers all have different types of envenomation and different types of venom. For us in North America our venomous snakes all share the same type of venom meaning the same antivenon is needed where as in the rest of the world identifying the snake is important for finding the correct antivenom.
The copperheads and rattle snakes do but there are also coral snakes and those are different. So you're mostly right as long as the snake isn't crazy colourful. +all the exotic pet snakes still make all antivenom types necessary.
So coral snakes are basically US version of the Indian Kraits

I really appreciate Mike speaking up about how those of us on the spectrum can find it difficult to not come off as rude at times as that’s something I specifically struggle with. For most what’s viewed as natural friendly behavior is difficult for us to grasp and learn over time, and sometimes that can unintentionally come off as rude or dismissive when really we’re just not masking in that moment.
Me too I was starting to tear up and he put into words what I feel so kindly instead of judgemental 😭

This was the most unexpected series of movie that I've ever expected Doctor Mike to see. And this was a blast to see. I thoroughly enjoyed it much love
The reason why in RRR the hero knows all the animals and stuffs is bcs he's a tribal gondi person. The gondi people state his team to be the caretakers and the protectors of their tribe. As for the 2nd movie, the hero is the elder of ~5(idk its been long since ive seen it)brothers and works many jobs to sustain his family. He is also a part time scientist and the heart was artificially made by him. This explains why he was colour coating it and why it glowed when in the patients body (its like to show that its compatible and has been fixed). As for Mersal, uhhhh, idk srsly but my dad just says that they ripped the scene off of the good doctor s1 e1 burnt food.

3:21 Pleaseeeeee 😂😂😂😂😂lol
I love this- and the Medical Inaccuracies is crazy- then y'all had a debate on greetings- lol-
Dr. Patel's manic energy is chef's kiss. We need more of his quips in EVERY episode!
I love that Dr. Mike brought up the fact that not everyone is comfortable with people greeting them. As an introvert who has severe social anxiety, I DO NOT want people to say "good morning" or whatever whenever they see me, and I hate feeling obligated to say it back, and then being scolded for not saying it (even though I did) because they couldn't hear me. It's just an awkward situation that doesn't need to happen.
😢
Same. I’m autistic, and if I had to greet everyone all the time-- I legit would never leave my house. My social anxiety can only handle a small threshold of people.
I wouldn’t be rude or ignore someone if they’re speaking to me, but I do struggle with selective mutism and some people take it the wrong wat
Not trying to be harsh, but stay inside by yourself or get over it. I have anxiety too, but you need to push yourself. If you take “good morning” as an attack, you’ll never be able to function in the real world. You need to help yourself.
Bro if you can't even say good morning, you are not even trying. Even I as a introvert can say that. Sure I couldn't in the past but I just went over it.
You got me on the " Anti-venom" with the hand gestures🤣🤣🤣
This was so fun ahah what a great energy
1:35 that is actually a leopard. you can tell by its pattern. cheetahs have dots and leopards have spots called rosettes which you can see in the movie. Leopards can be even havier than cheetaths. (M/70-160lbs)
Sis got that "gamer heart"
5:35
With those RGB 😂😂😂
I loved this duo!! This was so much fun to watch 🤣❤️
I think the Mersal 9:09 was accurate enough. Obviously you'd do something like back blows and abdominal thrusts on someone who's choking first, but like the procedure in itself ie: cricothyrotomy was accurately depicted. The landmarks he was palpating was the junction between cricoid and thyroid cartilage which successfully bypasses the larynx which is the most common point of obstruction during choking.
It seemed like a missed opportunity to teach the viewers about such an interesting procedure.
Also I dont think chest compressions would help in that scenario because I'm pretty sure her CVS would've been intact during a choke attack. I would've given airway establishment a priority here just like the guy in the movie did.
1:30 who’s gonna tell them that thats a leopard, not a cheetah?

I love your videos Doctor Mike, you are very factful and you don't sugarcoat things. keep it up!!
In the movie "Munna Bhai," the notion of not forming emotional attachments with patients is portrayed as valid. This is because emotional involvement can potentially impact one's decision-making and actions. Consider the scenario of performing surgery on your own daughter; in such a case, emotions might interfere with your clinical judgment and performance
