As an adult convert (raised Catholic in a smal NE Baptist and Pentecostal town) and TBM, I found this an excellent discussion and interaction. The Savior that I see in the scriptures is more interested in ‘building bridges’ (as seen here) … especially in these ‘latter days’ prior to His return! … than in tearing others down (Sadducees and Pharisees as well as many in the different anti communities, although they all think they are doing GOD’s will, I am sure … no one sees themselves as satan’s minions). Having said that, we all make mistakes, there was only one perfect man and you both seem to have the intent to Follow Him . Bravo!

His example shows that we can love and cheer for individuals even if we disagree with the ideology. Steve, you are new to me but I loved getting to know you. It was great hearing some of your background - that you once were an atheist, that you are a gay man, that you an Evangelical. I watched because you had Greg on your show, but now I will watch to hear more of your wisdom and views. You and Greg are 2 men that I can look up to and admire for your honesty, your way of approaching your different points of view, and you don't put on airs and try to appear to be more than you are. @@darkforgiven360 it doesn't change the fact of totally different Godheads between Christianity and Mormonism!
They both can't be right and neither can the LDS church be what Mormons claim it to be.
The Church of Jesus Christ: it started on the Day of Pentecost.
LDS doctrines R counterfeit and redefined to be diametrically opposed to historical Christianity through the filters of your added books.
Being friendly is one thing but accepting Mormons as Christian brothers isn't in the cards unless the LDS church gives up much of its heretical doctrines.
I don't see that happening soon: but they will keep trying new wording on their definitions to sound more Christian to the general public.
A counterfeit only works if you cannot tell it apart from real Christian churches.

My favorite Bible story (Old Testament) is Joseph of Egypt. He went about doing good. And all he got for his efforts was persecution. Until his time came. At first I thought it was a type of “Cinderella” story. Then I realized it was similar to the path of our Savior. And then I realized all the times I had been treated unkindly for no fault of my own. In fact I was very obedient, kind, and did well in many things. I have had a bumpy ride, but I am doing well these days and stay clear of unkind and manipulative people.
