Goat is crazy he is very decent at debating relatively smart people however his arguments fall when debating experts
@@lol-bg4wh really? Any examples

Look up JMike
Whenever they start to make a point, the others raise red flags. This system needs to be changed
Cause everyone knows the points the other person making is bad and i have the best points. And when they show up they get rejected too😂 shows how delusional religious people are
Not exclusive to religious people. It happens on every episode of the show regardless.
@@melonsmasher8252You think this only happens to religious people?
@@melonsmasher8252 it literally happens in all of these surrounded videos dude regardless of wwho the 25 people are
I don’t think that’s true. The people making the better points were allowed to speak longer.
Alex goes from strength to strength. I’ve never seen this kind of format before, I think it worked very well, was entertaining and informative- informative in the sense that it demonstrated the vile beliefs of young Christians
I’ve been watching Alex since his beardless CosmicSkeptic days. It’s amazing to see how far he’s come. Can’t wait for what comes next!
Same. Happy to see how far he has come. I'm Christian as well.
Lets make the opposite knechtle vs 25 atheists
That would be a slaughter.
Love this!
We gotta have that
He'd get cooked like he got cooked by every real debater
Trent Horn vs. 25 atheists pls :)
So excited to see Alex O'Connor!!!
He is a brilliant, well educated, and very well spoken individual. This video made my day! Thank you for inviting him on
That guy asks hundred questions, even comparing animal suffering to human suffering, but the answer is literally in Genesis 3: 14 to 3: 20
Real brilliant, joining a debate without reading the subject matter
@@OfflineMafia What is the difference between animal suffering and human suffering? Do you suggest they feel less pain? Or that their pain does not matter? That would suggest you lack something called empathy. Also, if you think Alex doesn't know the Bible inside and out you are foolishly mistaken.
@@OfflineMafialol
@ The difference is in the outcome, just like our beloved science of mathematics
But the difference you'd like, within the parameters, would be that the animals, such as the serpent in Eden, were equally corruptible by satan as both humans and angels
So God's rage was based on Isaiah 14, the betrayal of Lucifer + 1/3rd of angels, who were exiled from Heaven to the spiritual Earthly realm (3,5 Dimensional, between 3D matter and 4D spacetime, above our thoughts)
But mankind and their dominion of animals from Genesis 3 got the last end of the bargain and were banished to an abandoned Earth, where they would prove both their resilience against evil thoughts, but also creativity
25 Christians who cannot answer these key questions, not one satisfactory rebuff, and some amazing mental gymnastics used to ignore Alex's points.
I’m an atheist but I’ve never heard of Alex! I will have to check him out! Very intelligent and well-read
You're in for a treat, my friend
Same ❤️
Buckle up, hundreds of hours of content.
Please do! He is the reason why I became a better person as an atheist. Because of him, I've gotten more respectful towards religions. He's the best role model for atheists.
There was Christopher Hitchens, there’s NOW Alex O’ Connor. You’re in for a rollercoaster ride.
Alex: why all the suffering?
Christians: why not?
Brain numbingly brave.
And the guy that said God’s purpose for kids dying of leukemia is just to convert their parents to Christ….
As if Christians don’t already have kids with leukemia
Lmao
What even is suffering? Why all the suffering is level one thinking
Furthermore, what makes any kind of suffering "unessesary?" Respectfully to Alex, he's not connecting the dots here
Alex actually got one shotted when the christians said that
As a Mormon, I couldn't think of anyone greater than Jacob to represent us.
I'm a long time fan of Alex too because he gives a great perspective. Everybody was very respectful and this debate was less contentious that most others.
Hayden is also a Latter-day Saint and appears on Jacob's channel not uncommonly
In terms of amatuer apologist RUclipsrs that might be true.
I'd put Blake Ostler, Terryl Givens, Adam Miller, and Robert Boylan all above Jacob Hansen, but none of them are amatuer apologist RUclipsrs
There is hope for you yet! 😂
Mormons are outside of Christianity.
Aren't yall like openly racist? like "Black skin is the curse of cain" blah blah blah "which is why black people are lesser than white people because their pre-earth lives were worser and less holy than the white supreme" blah blah blah.
The dabates were immaculate. Very civil, no shouting, only interruption when absolutely neccesary. But wow, i felt like the Christians in here disagreed with eachother more than Alex did. Allmost every time one of the Christians arrived at their point, they got voted out. Almost as if every person believed they misrepresented Christianity for them, and only their 'form' of Christianity is the true one. Like a micro-theoligical no true scotman fallacy.
The LDS (Mormon guy) seemed to be the most interesting in stimulating thought
which one? There were two
Who is the second??🤔
Hayden 9:55 and Jacob at the end of the vid were both LDS
Interesting in a sci-fi/fantasy sense perhaps
You’re correct, the LDS guy was most articulate.
people side eyeing the mormon like their belief is OBVIOUSLY 'better' lool
Interesting as well considering the 2 Mormons probably held their own better than any of the other Christians imo at least.
Indeed, if other Christians would consider LDS theology in even half as open-minded a manner as Alex, faith would be transformed. The tropes that are thrown about are masking a wealth of faith building knowledge.
@@AbrahamicAstronomy Unfortunately, the evidence of Joseph Smith's character is compelling
Well, to be fair, you could argue that christianity is an obviously less scam, than mormonism, because the book of mormon was written by a scam artist with a long arrest record.
@@christopherbeers8095 Within the mormon church, they're actively trained to debate with the average layman protestand and catholic. It is a core to proselytizing for them.
Alex O'Connor has earned me as a fan
Entertaining 90 plus minutes, which foremost was polite and respectful and that’s the most important thing. 👍
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a great example of what it means to debate eachother in a kind and respectful way. No matter our differences, we’re all very much alike. Much love, friends.
We’re not very much alike when you have people that hurt, dehumanize, and make votes that enforces laws based on hate for minorities and women.
And all simply based off an unverifiable deity that has yet to prove any empirical evidence for its existence. Then, they use that belief to justify their bigotry.
Just leave people TF alone on what their personal decision is for their OWN lives and OWN body.
And simply respect them as your fellow human beings instead of seeking to destroy them for living a lifestyle you don’t agree with or just simply for existing.
To increase kindness and love, that’s the way.
Alex is quite literally the most fit Atheist to hold this type of dialogue. Absolutely love him.
Very surprised, and also WILDLY impressed, that the one Surrounded episode where they actually act respectful and open-minded, and allow each other to really SPEAK and DEBATE, is the Atheists vs. Christians episode. Did not expect that at all, and I want to bring a HUGE kudos to everyone involved with this episode, allowing it to be easier to follow, and keeping topics on topic. No marginalization/personalization, no yelling, fun humor between both parties while still remaining on topic, I have absolutely no complaints. It’s almost a breath of fresh air compared to the other episodes. And I dearly wish this order was pushed for the multiple episodes prior, for the topics I actually cared about🤣 but even though it’s not in my ball park, I enjoyed watching the whole thing and their perspectives, and it was a GREAT and powerful watch regardless.
I felt a lot of thinly veiled patronizing from the circle throughout the video ngl. I can also appreciate the air of civility; at least they can try to talk peacefully, but I don't really think coming into an argument with condescension in your heart can lead to any sort of ideological development in your worldview.
Glad to overcome your stereotype.
this whole video is just an atheist teaching christians about their own book 😭
Agreed. And the whole discussion isn't even about atheism either.
true they should have gotten someone like cliff
