Thank you so much for this video bro! I’m hoping to be a piano teacher very soon and these are techniques I’d love to teach my students!

Great lesson! You are spot on regarding the comfort zone & becoming a well rounded musician. Everything we do musically informs our overall development, and playing different styles improves our knowledge, ear, playing skill, and opportunities. As a violinist, it was perhaps more strenous for me to figure out how to diversify, especially growing up a long time ago in a virtually sequestered place, so I became a multi-instrumentalist. Though I played violin briefly in a buddy's high school garage band, bass became my way of learning rock & jazz. Having also learned some wind instruments, and eventually the piano, I have found that these experiences all came together gradually, to build my musicianship.
But the best moment came when I walked into an internet cafe, for open mic night, loaded down with instruments, ready to sit in with others & make some music. A nice lady sat at the bar next to an empty stool. She saw me & offered the stool. She is now my wife of 20 years!

Thanks for your tips. For that advice "Get out of your comfort zone" perhaps might want to set aside a routine to really physically Exercise. It does helps alot in terms mental agility and avoid cardiovascular diseases and even diabetes that plague alot of musicians. Take care
