I'm an adult violin learner. Your videos like this one have saved me. The dotted qtr's and the other ones were wrecking my life. I'm working on Canon in D. Thanks man.

I mentioned in this lesson that in order to become a well rounded musician, you must master some common rhythm patterns. Learn all about them by watching THIS lesson next: ruclips.net/video/fdXdGauyJyw/видео.html

Thanks; been playing for a very long time, but have a really hard time with rhythm. I’m considering taking your whole course.

I love your lessons but sometimes counting. I tap, but i cannot count and play at the same time. Same with metronome….if i listen then i am missing the playing….. you lose me. I am not grasping the 1e+. I think i have watched all your videos on this. I am now in book 3…..i am not a natural but i enjoy learning piano. I am over 7o and i love my in person teacher. I play for me…no racing, tests, etc.

Would you recommend learning a piece from the beginning with a metronome. So should I learn a bar with the metronome 1st before moving on. Or should I learn the piece 1st and then use the metronome to get my tempo right.

Hey, I would say learn the piece first and use metronome to get tempo right.

I think I turn on the metronome at least once in every practice session, and never persist.
    Gulp, guilty as charged.
I never hesitate to click on your videos talking about rhythm since you have such a good system. That's probably because you had good teachers. There are several piano teachers on the tubes that I quit watching since they were so confusing on counting.

In the 60's, pop bands don't use this, they use the drummers rhythms, they don't have internet and videos.
