- This time we're not gonna go for lower power consumption or lower thermals, we're simply gonna get the maximum possible performance out of this GTX 1660 Super from Asus. The tutorial is of course valid for every GTX 1660 and even the Ti model!

I wouldnt recommend going up by increments of 100 on the core clock. You can get a more accurate maximum if you go up by increments of 20 or 30. That’s just a recommendation though. Great video btw man ! :)
That’s good advice, it’s gonna take more time but be more accurate! I like to fast track my crash point first and then fine tune it, but it really is just a methodology difference! Thanks a lot for commenting!

Bro you have to turn on MSI Afterburn once you overclock before running any game for overclocking to take effect or I can play without turning on MSI afterburn?

better, 1660 super stock and 3050 are the same thing, just look at the benchmarks, 1660s just dont have dlss and ray tracing

Personally I prefer the UV for stability and overall noise & power draw
it works on the GTX 1660 (Normal) Very Good! i actually went from 81°c to about 50°c

It really depends on the card, how good the silicon is and how much you manage to overclock! The best way is for you to follow the tutorial and find out

I did the undervolting and overclocking didnt really boost my fps but i did notice the graphics improved but still my gameplay on warzone 2 is still the same
That’s because you have DLSS enabled in game! That limits your FPS and adjusts the graphics accordingly to hit an FPS target

Bro i tried these settings and made it lower settings and im gettin crashes every time i deleted msi afterburner but im gettin crashes every time and my pc gives blue screen
You overclocked too far. Just hit the reset button in afterburner and you’ll be fine

hey, when i did +120 core clock and +1000 memory clock on my 1660 ti and benchmarked GTA 5 my fps on non oc was 155 on avarage meanwhile on OC it was 125 avarage, any idea why this is the case and what i should do? earnt my sub from this simple and straight forward video
Here I am! Try a slightly lower memory overclock, you might be a bit unstable! Also remember that average FPS depends on many factors :)

Crashing is very noticeable, if the benchmark freezes or your game freezes, thats when you know it has crashed
When im in benchmark it doesnt let me open the afterburner

Hi, I do undervolt to 1935mhz on 900mv and stable most of the time on 1935mhz and somtimes down to 1920mhz when the temperature increases, is that normal or that mean overclock?

I have the same card and yet when I open MSI afterburner my core clock is showing at a base 1530 and forcing it up 200 doesnt change it

Nope, you can just save the profile and it will always work! But be sure to subscribe to the channel
I have a 1660 Super and I chose to do both methods, the manual overclocking and the automatic ( Overclocking Scanner ).
In the manual method, I chose to put in the Core Clock 170 MHz.
In the 'Overclocking' Scanner option that does it automatically, it took about 30 minutes to complete, and it chose to put in the Core Clock 114 MHz and 200 MHz in the memory clock.
I decided to use the automatic setting, since it should be more stable and safer.
I would also recommend checking out undervolting, since the scanner does something midway through OCing and UVing!
after overclocking, we have to save data in that disc button ? or its just automatic process ? and what happens when i turn off afterburner ?
Yup you do need to save it in afterburner and to have it start with windows

mine is stable with 235 on the core clock and 580 on memory, it runs well, overclock like an year ago, and zero problems

idk why but my pc at one point could run 300 fps but one day it stuck to 144 and my fps would drop to 70 and all and all would be playing with stutters and lag and no matter what i do nothing helps me what should i do
That does require a long diagnostic, but in short:
do a fresh install of windows
check that the PC is not overheating, undervolt if necessary!

Yes it is! Basically we max them out to avoid the GPU throttling, but it’s not gonna hit them either way :)

Yup they made two versions, depending on the type of memory it was running, I think Hynix ones clocked higher :/

Could be a problem with PSU, the card is unable to draw the amount of watts needed to hold the increased core clocks.

You can do it on a laptop as well but with lower voltage and lower clocks. I have dedicated tutorials for laptops as well

You cannot overclock GPU via the bios with modern cards, so yes this is the best way!

Squares=Often unstable core. A long hang: Usually VRAM unstable. WHEA Windows crash for "Cache Hierarchy Error": Possibly unstable VRAM.
