Hi, I've a MSI GTX 1660 Super Gaming X card undervolted to 900mv / 1920 frequency and add 900 mhz on memory clock. running stable. Playing F1 2021 temps never passed 64 degrees and I'm getting 130/140 fps with High in game settings. So, I'm good for now.
I am using GTX 1660s currently and its super satisfying and cool to run all the games on medium to high in 1080p.My variant is MSI one with double fan to the temperature also stays reasonable .
I got my RX6700XT as my first dedicated GPU. Coming from HD Family Graphics, UHD630 and Vega 8. It's bottlenecked by my cpu a lot but it is doing a great job! I can make a stable undervolt with this GPU so it only uses 90-100W with nearly zero changes to framerate because of CPU Bottleneck. I used to watch your videos and dream of having like a GPU like gtx 1060(6gb bc 3gb version is bad) then I got a bit of money and got myself a RX 6700 XT. Now I am saving up for R5 3600(used and will be used till I will have money for r5 5600/some r7 5gen) and a b550 mobo.
Would be better if you had a midrange system say like a 5600 or a 12400 for testing such cards. 5800X3D does alter expectations for the average consumer
I feel like this GPU is holding up pretty nicely even now....even at 1440p it should be able to run most games without any problems. Non-AAA titles/indie games easily over 60 FPS. Thanks Kryzzpy, epic video as always!

I've been using one for a year, and absolutely love it! Totally one of the best deals right now. That said, it's lack of RT does age it a bit. But for raster performance, it's amazing. And if you undervolts it a bit, it's pretty damn efficient, too.
Just recently upgraded to a 3070, but before that my little 1660ti held on tight for 1440p gaming. I had to stick to low/medium settings, but she hung in there like a champ for awhile.

I had the Older and slightly better brother 1660ti as a new GPU! Bought for 300$ in 2019, recently upgraded to a 4070 for 585$. It served me well, but I had to change since I have a wqhd+ ultrawide monitor! That gpu is a beast tho, never let me down and played everything at medium settings at like 50 fps for the most demanding games !
I still have the evga version in my living room's HTPC/VR PC.
Not worried about the latest and greatest crap games either! It's good for my Rift S, so I'm happy...
im about to upgrade from a 1660s to 4070. In your opinion, do you think it was worth it?
@@glurzoh in my opinion, the 4070 is probably the best gpu for "normal" buyers at the moment, limitless budget you go for the 4090 of course. Performance got a 5x, TDP is so low, 190w max, it has DLSS that i didnt have on the old gtx, it has dlss 3 that gives a sweet boost and the delay isnt a big deal ( playing cyberpunk right now). and has a lot of performance for any resolution below 4k. And for the most normal price of the 4000 series. To me, it was absolutely worth it and doest deserve the hate. (under 600$ tho).
After i bought a pc first single player game was hellblade and now i almost complete it 😁❤
I have it since 2020, still playing games on high-ultra settings among 45-60 fps.
Not counting badly optimised games like Jedi Survivor.
I am using GTX 1660s currently and its super satisfying and cool to run all the games on medium to high in 1080p.My variant is MSI one with double fan to the temperature also stays reasonable .
hey what s ur fans config

Doing the work even on Sundays! You're a legend
My pleasure 😃
As a reseller 1660 super is a beast GPU in *used market its like 12-13k* which is like 158$ ... amazing performance
Hey Krizzp, just so you know, it says "Far Cry 5" in the top right of the screen when you're testing Far Cry 6. Amazing video as always!
I finished cyberpunk 2077 on my ryzen 4650G apu... Now seeing the gameplay in this video is just heavenly
I have the same GPU and it's still rocking for me
Would be better if you had a midrange system say like a 5600 or a 12400 for testing such cards. 5800X3D does alter expectations for the average consumer
True
One of the best budget used GPUs at the moment, I think. Great entry level card for gaming.
I feel like this GPU is holding up pretty nicely even now....even at 1440p it should be able to run most games without any problems. Non-AAA titles/indie games easily over 60 FPS. Thanks Kryzzpy, epic video as always!
with FSR 3 frame generation mod, this GPU can do 1080p High, FSR Balanced, 75fps for Alan Wake 2, one of the most demanding game currently. So YES!
I used to have a 1660 super before upgrading to a rx 6700 xt its still decent card👍
@silentstorm9631 AMD Fanboy detected*!
@@gamingwithtashikBut its a great card.
@@gamingwithtashikjust man stfu nvidia shit. I bought a 4060 for 150 bucks more than msrp and it's worse than a 3060 in some cases. Just look at amd 6800xt oc nearly around 4070 and 3080 or almost same and still costs like 50-70 dollar cheaper and yeah u have bad rtx but u get 4 gigs more vram like look at them why tf buy nvidia
@silentstorm9631 RX 6700 XT is better value than any card on the market
@silentstorm9631 I have a rx 6800 XT dude.
I still run a GTX 1660 6gb. It's a dual fan msi one, OCed. I use it every day for VR gaming, flat-screen gaming, and youtube video creation (editing, recording, live streaming). When I play games like Hogwarts Legacy, I use FSR. But I mostly play VR games, and it serves me well. I plan on upgrading soon, to either a 3070ti or 2080ti. Not because it's a needed upgrade, but because it's a wanted one.
dont buy the 3070 ti! its only 8% faster tan the 3070 but 80 bucks more expensive and uses 70 watts more with the same 8gb vram only.... a rx 6800 with 16gb vram or if nvidia is needed a rtx 4070/ rtx 3060ti. the 2080ti with 11gb is prop also fine
I spent $200 on my 1660ti in August 2022, now you can get one for half that.
I got the PNY 1660 super, im planning on upgrading to a RTX 5090 pc when it comes out.
Imagine being able to run two 1660Ti in SLI, that would be super cool and absolutny the best bang for a buck combo
this has to be satire
@@asr1el942 even then, thats not how sli works, barely any games support sli anymore
I've had the 1660ti I currently have since 2019 and been thinking of upgrading to a 4070
Look into "Disable cosmetic streaming" in Fortnite launch options, that way you have the textures/shaders hosted in your computer and not download them on the fly while you are gaming. That will fix the stuttering!
I did but somehow still stuttering. But it get better the longer you play, but yeah.
Wow
i have it and ill use it until it breaks .. no need to upgrade seeing the current market condition
This is the card I have had since 2020. I'm hoping to move to a 4090 in a couple of months. Certainly, it will be a huge upgrade 😂
In a similar boat, 1660 super in a prebuilt pc to a 4060 ti now
how big was the upgrade?
@@ima_ninja8641
I got my at the end of 2019. Kept it until about a year ago and then within a years time I went from a 3060, to a 4070Ti, and then 4090.
@@MrEL91N lmao i cant imagine why'd anyone wanna upgrade from a 4070ti to 4090. these are the type of npc's to say 'ohh, 240fps is not enough, i need 300!' no offense tho :D Im playing shooter games on 100fps and im an apex predator in apex legends (highest rank in the game ;) )
@@yungtweakif he got the money let him be man, its his money and choice anyway. Went too far by calling him npc
Basically a 3050 without the rt, which you still won't even use probably because the 3050 is crap with rt on. Amazing video as always!
Lacking DLSS as well though, which is a nice feature to have on the 3050 :)
@@zWORMzGaming Yes! That's probably the real advantage of the rtx. Strongly agree since fsr is not supported still that much in games, and dlss is better imo.
nice headset ngl
1660 super was my first kinda midranger gpu back in 2019
i swear it was really good back then happy to see it still surviving in 2023
same, I purchased this card back in 2019, and it runes everything at high settings, now not much anymore but if you find a good balance in settings it can play anything, I sold mine 2 months ago and got an Rx 6700 xt so yeah I had fun memories of that card ☺.
@@jackbro655 yeah same i sold mine and got a 3080 it was really good back then İ used to play tons of 1440p AAA games at medium to high with 40-60 fps
Those older GPU are pretty good value personally i would pick 2060 over 1660 if it's avalible in similar pricepoints.
I am literally just thinking about getting one and you make this video. What a legend
OMG YES!! Thank you SO much for reviewing this Gpu! 🎉
Thank you for watching!
if you are on a tight budget, and you can get one for less than 100€, then its absolutely worth it imo.
I was looking to buy the gtx 1660 super but I went for gtx1650 gddr6 bcs I didn't had enough of money and I had to change processor psu and yeah but still a good deal with the i5-11400f
Omg you got my GPU lmao, if you know the mission Complications fails you if you have too much FPS because the car flies away from Simon and it fails the mission, i think it has to be locked to 60 or just below 120fps.
i like my 1660 super because its much more cooler than this in your video and mine got two fans
Mine too. Works great, but I wish I had the ti
4 years later and still being a little bastard.
One of the best mid/low range GPUs launched by NVidia.
This card with a R5 3600/5500 or i5 10th/11th + 1080p/75hz monitor will be a excellent cheap build
Do you think it's worth it to upgrade to I5 10th/11th Gen with this GPU when I'm using 10105F?
RX 570 4GB variant is still holding pretty well, so could you possibly make the video on it?
but the Nvidia fanbois will choke on their rice!🤣
I had this gpu up until recently when I got a 3070. It is a 1080p BEAST. did me good.
Can u test the RX 6700xt next? It seems to be one of the most popular gpu right now in terms of performance/dollar
I bought an MSI GTX 1660 Super Ventus XS OC two days ago for just $80, and it's practically like new. I'm amazed by the performance, especially considering the price.
You should do the 5600xt. Between the 5500xt and and the 5700xt it went under the radar but it's a pretty good card
I really recommend rx 6600 or better, the rx 6600 can do 1440 at almost max graphics in most game(you can't prove me wrong because i literally have it and use it)
Depends on your budget tho
@@ulfricstormcloak7142 you don't really need a better gpu if your not playing at 4k
I got the GTX 1660 super for ARS$40.000 (which is around USD$80). With a 1080p 24" monitor and a Ryzen 5 5600g it works great, i dont like most of the newer titles anyway, so it works great for the games that i do like
vendi una hace poco a 120 dólares unos 60k ja! y la extraño mucho mejor valor x rendimiento que las rtx 2060/3050 y las rx 6500xt
We have the same specs, great cpu
I have a 1650 Super, and while it's not as good as this, it has definitely held up incredibly well, pulling a smooth 60 on High in RDR2, 90+ in most FPS games. I don't plan on replacing it any time soon, though the paltry 4gb VRAM can be a pain sometimes
I wonder what can RTX 2060 can do in 2023
He has a video on his channel. But as a 2023 owner I can do 80-90 fps on resident evil 4 remake in 1080p mid-high graphic without rt and without upscaler such as fsr and dlss
15:36 R.I.P JACK: 2013-2023
Hey Kryzzp any chance you can do an updated benchmark for the RX 6700 XT since it is lowest price its been on the market while delivering acceptable performances! Cheers
got gtx 1660ti at $140, best upgrade so far for me, better than my old gt 630
sunday video is there !!!!! hi Zwormz, can you test the Radeon VEGA 64 or the radeon VII .
Hey! Thank you for being here as well 😃
I'd love to take a look at the Radeon VII, not so much at the vega but I'll buy one if I find it at a good price :)
Almost bought one, got a 2060s 8GB instead for $180. HP model too!
id love to see another revisit of the 5700xt, i feel like its *slightly* aging a little bit but im also thinking of getting it currently and i just wanna see how it performs mid-2023 onwards (also if you can do the minecraft shaders comparison test with it)
The 5700xt is hands down one of the best used GPU deals ATM in the US
I've been using one for a year, and absolutely love it! Totally one of the best deals right now. That said, it's lack of RT does age it a bit. But for raster performance, it's amazing. And if you undervolts it a bit, it's pretty damn efficient, too.
I wish Ratchet and clank: rift apart be playable at the release date PC version unlike The last of us I
Honestly I think it is
Yup!
@@zWORMzGaming I mean I run a 1050 ti and I get good frames in mid range games
Just recently upgraded to a 3070, but before that my little 1660ti held on tight for 1440p gaming. I had to stick to low/medium settings, but she hung in there like a champ for awhile.
Its almost equivalent to the rtx 3050 4gb laptop
GTX 1660 Super is really the one of the best gpu i recently bought this gpu while my first gpu was GT710

460 fps and can play almost any game at 1080p for 100+ frames above its a great and affordable card that gets the job done great video
a card relevant to me, since I have a 1660 ti, awesome!
16:34 Why are you only using x4 Texture filtering? it has no performance cost to use x16
Bro Zwormz your cross hair placement is so freaking good in valorant you’re actually a pro.
The 1660 super is a absolute war machine for me runs most modern games at 60+ fps with tweaks ofc and runs vr pretty well as well
1660 Super is great. Would still be playing with it but my kid needed an upgrade so I sacrificed myself a year back and got 3060TI. He's happily running 1440 MED in most games still.
