  • Stage Fright, or Performance Anxiety is a real struggle players have in many games. But especially in World of Warcraft, and mythic plus. But I've been through this with so many players, so let me provide my advise for managing this strugglesome mental challenge!

    As some one who's went from struggling to get 2k and now in title range, the first thing I learned was. From doorki "If you aren't failing most of your keys, you aren't doing high enough keys."

    I'm a "new" healer, only seriously picking up the role at the end of last season when the group I play with was struggling to find healers. I have to say, and this will be obvious to anyone that has healed M+, the group you are with and how good they are at mechanics makes a HUGE difference. In this group we were struggling to complete very low keys and I was having a hell of a time keeping people up. A friend of mine pulled me into some M+ with a certain guild on Moon Guard (😉 ) and I healed my first 7s and 8s. I was scared to death! However, I found these higher keys faaaar easier to heal than the lower keys! …It was the group! They KNEW mechanics and stayed out of them. I’ve since joined this guild on Moon Guard, but I still play with the original group. They….aren’t good, but we do have some good laughs. Cheers!

    Just discovered you here on YT. I love that there are new, very high quality content creators coming to wow in recent times. I’ve been playing wow for a very long time, and it’s felt like it’s all the same content creators for the most part.
    I appreciate you bowser o7

    I am lucky enough to run with family with just 1-2 extra DPS and we run low keys so we don’t get a lot of toxic players. But I think some people need to realize that some of us will never be awesome at video games, lol. It’s not from lack of trying or rudeness. Maybe we are aging or maybe we don’t have a lot of time to devote to it or maybe our brains just cannot handle the massive input and respond fast enough. But we do what we can and we have fun. And we don’t run keys beyond our abilities. 🙂

    There is one problem you didn’t mention I believe, that the team must kinda know what type of healer and his healing style, as an example for what I mean and simultaneously the issue I’ve always faced as an evoker healer, although I enjoy playing preservation so much but whenever I see a hunter or a warlock or a balance Druid specifically in the group I know how it’s gonna be, to stand all the way at the back and not allowing it to be easy for me as a healer to position myself to heal the group, they never try and help by standing a bit close since we have a range problem, and when explained they refuse to understand it or cope with it

      I totally get this, i can only hover rush to find their dying asses so many times before i run out of it. Eventually they will have to die and wait to get rezzed, and wonder why it’s only them that is dying. Eventually the pattern will hit them. 😅

    • @amrabdelsalam106
      @amrabdelsalam106 23 дня назад

      @@drakie9111 problem is most of the people don’t get the pattern and it eventually ends with people leaving the party and before leaving they say stuff like healer is bad, shit healing, learn to play and stuff like that, you would know of course.
      And when you ask them to stand a bit close so you can heal them efficiently, they keep saying I’m ranged dps I can stand farther, what am I supposed to do? Stand at melee?!
      However you see skilled players like Gingi playing a hunter!!! And still standing close to the group because he simply saw that his healer is an evoker.

      @@amrabdelsalam106 well then you basically just answered your own conundrum. 😊 those type of people are as dense as a box of rocks and a box of rocks has more use and would take offense to me comparing it to those people lol. People who cannot see there own mistakes and can only blame others and see fault in others instead of asking “what can I do better to help the situation “ don’t even bother or waste your time or breath or thought or emotion on them. Not worth it, in my opinion. Just a thought. 💭 in the end it’s them that’s dying. 😉

      in reality tho, i get more anxiety from doing higher M+ than anything in RL, its kinda dumb. but the death counter and timer just turn it to 11 so fast.

    As for the getting your ass kicked. When my wife was learning to heal in keys I would try to make things more difficult for her not using mitigation not healing myself as a tank. It worked pretty well for helping her learn to prioritize and use cds as well as using her utility to pick up the slack. She's gone from being afraid to heal a normal dungeon to 3k io in about 1.5 seasons.

    Honestly tanking is way, way, way more complicated and anxiety inducing than healing.
    healing is still more difficult than DPS. But I found healing actually relaxing.
    Once I learned how to overall heal for burst AOE, Priority burst, and consistent AOE healing
    it actually is quite simple for me.
    Being a tank is so much more stressful....

    ah yes making mistakes.....a great way to not get a single mythic completion in hours
    its insane how quickly you get kicked from groups these days to the point where i am not afraid of making mistakes
    i am just worried i wont complete a single dungeon that day because a single mistake can result in a kick :/

      @Bowserthehealer  23 дня назад +2

      So get kicked and run it back. Thats what this video is about, take the jump homie. You won't ever know if you dont make mistakes and learn from it! Plus I just played a few keys that had plenty of players making mistakes. No one got kicked. Go next if you do

      @@Bowserthehealer when you get kicked like 5 times in a row and most of your Dungeons end up like that from simple mistakes like letting people die
      It gets really tiring
      I Think experienced players tend to forget what a nightmare early Keys Can be in pugs
      I Will try again in war within but i still very much fear another round of go kill yourself from random and getting kicked every other dungeon the second someone dies cause you didn do your job

      PvP doesn’t have to do anything with mythic plus tho. And there isn’t nearly as much as toxicity like that.. I get an asshole in a group like once out of 10 keys.
