Your comment about being frustrated by people not helping with affixes, really resonated with me. As an Hpall main, I had people try to make me feel like the wrong person for being upset that they didn’t take talents to assist with the weekly affix. It is good to know that my healing brethren have the same shared experience! Thanks for the positive video!
You deserve an applause! In just a few months, you've achieved more than I ever have in over 16 years of playing WoW. My experiences with pugging were horrible, I'd either get the most brain-dead people or the most toxic elitists you'll find online. I really didn't care if we failed, as long as the vibes weren't bad and people weren't being salty about it. I quit a few months ago, but I do wish I could've played with people like yourself more. Again, congratulations!
I hope in doing this challenge and pugging I can help shape the game a bit more, so that we can move into even more time periods of good keys and less toxic players. And if you ever wanna good vibes? Dungeon Dojo has some fantastic vibes and offers some great LFG roles. The people there I have met have been fantastic!
Hi Bowser!! I wanted to commend you on this challenge you did, I cannot imagine how tedious it must have been. Thank you for the great healing content!! you've gained a happy fellow healer sub
Congratz! I hope you enjoy your new found free time! I stopped playing season 2 when my raid team fell apart and pugs for m+ just became the bane of my existence, but I've still been watching and loving your content. Preservation voker truly has been the most fun I've had healing in any mmo, perhaps I should just accept the stress and come back. As always, I look forward to see more from you in the future, and best of luck finding the man of your dreams, may your search be easier than mine lol
Great video! I have played wow a long time just doing casual BGs mostly and some arena. Been thinking of getting into mythic dungeons, this helps alot!
Seriously? Go for it! Its a process, but its so rewarding. And I've been getting into PvP more and more, the crossover of each discipline of the game is very real! Your PvE skills show up in PvP, your PvP know-how will show up in M+ and raid. Let me know how it goes if you do!
Thank you Bowser for your hard work. You made me return to healing, to actually try some harder content, to main Prevoker and end up in top 20 in our server though pugging (for a person who was satisfied with LFR raiding it is huge achievement). GL in your next challenges and as a person with 18 alts.... I am looking forward to the tank challenge

lol, after 7 years I’ll be coming back for War Within to play a holy main / prot off spec Paladin so seeing all the rough talk on them seems crazy, but I’m still up for the challenge. The fantasy of it all will keep me going! 👊
100% agree that push weeks were the worst, i pugged this whole season and the "easy" affix weeks had the worst players that didn't know the dungeons. a lot of my best keys of the season are on sanguine weeks.
Many of you have mentioned you felt this way, I thought I was losing my mind when I first realized it. Im so so so glad others feel that way about "push weeks"
You got me into healing, i was a Dps and Tank main 3.2k every season and thanks to you i started a Preservation evoker this sesson and i love it i am Sitting on 3.1k right now Pug only and it feels amazing i love the specc so much and i will probably stay as a Healer main now
13:55 truest statement in the video, I found this to valid for my as well this season. The players willing to put up with "tough" affixes made for some solid groups. Definitely got my biggest keys from those weeks.
Hey, it was cool to hear you mention SSBM! And you're actually advanced mentioning wavedashing. Thats so cool. I played SSBM competitively for like 8-10 years.
Big gz :) Managed 3k on druid and evoker so far. Got to admit I'm not fully pugging since my bf play tank and got a friend joining at times too. But 2-3 pugs can still make life interesting. Healing is a lot of fun :)
Great video Bowser! Ive been a tank only for 7 years. Our guild recently went up to 6 tanks so i am switching out. Made Dev evoker and got to 2.7 in 2 weeks, then got told i need to heal! I turned my brew into mist and went in hard, timings 20s after first week. I havent decided what healer to play in S4 (maybe MW, but want to try R.Druid and some.others). Will wait out to see what S4 brings and maybe when hero talents released. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Be nice to see you do a video about healer hero talents once they are all releaed.
Wanted to say: Really good job that you had the sanity to do this projekt. I know the feel how Tanks or some dps are kinda strange in their behavior. being part of a unified group that all know what they are doing is my dream. especially someone like you should go for it cause I bet you can get pretty high up there.
Getting 3.1k via pugging this late into the season as an off meta class (warlock) has been such an ordeal for me. I can whole heartedly agree with your comment regarding pugging late into the season, grim.
Loved this video! Honestly, I've been pretty burned of healing thanks to this patch, but listening to your take on the patch/season helped me view not everything is as bad as I saw it. (Granted, most of my burnout was raid being a nightmare damage wise and me picking up Disc for the patch). I will probably stick with healer for a bit longer and I'll try to get more into the PUG side of things now. I will probably switch back from disc to MW or Rdruid tho, hahahahahah.
@@BowserthehealerI would be trying it out for the first time, but it looks really fun! And Rdruid I have already played and I very much enjoy it both on M+ and Raid.
Hey bowser, I want to thank you for 20 years i played dps. I decided to try healing, I love dev and wanted to be a “i’ve been a evoker since the start” so a month ago i took on healing as a prevoker, Now im 50 pts from my 2nd 3k first as a healer, I like MW also and currently working on it. Now im unsure if i want to go paladin or priest (priest mainly for shadow) but i want to thank you for your content on how to play classes and specs and hope you continue to make content on how classes and there combos and mechanics work thanks again!
Hell yeah! I'm so happy to have been the inspiration! I love me some DPS, but every time a DPS player tells me they tried healing (especially because of me!) I am just so happy! Keep at it! I recommend priest so so much, Shadow is a blast and two other healing styles to try? Very versatile!
It would be super interesting to listen to you POV on the new M+ changes. Specially hearing you talk about how timing keys with pugs was part of the challenge. Perhaps material for it's own video.
Absolutely! But the quick version is not a ton changes for what I do. The grind might be a technical faster, but the challenge might be jumping up a bit per key level so it may slice up the community differently. So who knows the quality of pugs in a +8 in the new system when the stair steps there are bigger
One of the biggest things for PuGing that changes everything is a leader. Someone marking what they want killed, or kicked. Most times it's the tank, but really it can be anyone.
Looking for the man of your dreams, huh? Not sure if I exactly check the man box (being an amab enby) but I'll keep ya busy from end to end ;) On a more serious note thank you for everything you do, you are an absolutely killer content creator. I don't really have time for WoW right now in my life but I still make sure watch everything you put out.
okay okay this video now got me subscribed. I'm not on a challenge like you but everything you said is just 1:1 me and my thoughts haha I play every potential healer class on heal (around 2,5k atm), expierencing the same ups and downs as you. And I also rather play with randoms - as self destroying as it sounds. Always an adventure xD
i main hpal and its nice to see some other hpals bar that doesnt have light of dawn on it its also nice to see you using flash heal during the proper damage phases
Awesome, i am almost there with 3 healers. You are totally right that this is the hardest way to pug. Sadly i switched my druid for shamy because i didnt like pugging with the druid anymore :(
Working on my Holy priest after I finished monk and paladin, and the healer I have the most issues with is definetly Druid... Seems like if the group is not good, you can't "carry" the group. But amazing achievement really, well played.
Its hard, and people can be mean! But most of my keys have had lovely players. Not all of them time of course, but there is only one way to learn! If you ever need tips on pugging and wanna give it a go? Stop by stream and ask! But if you wanna keep it grouped with homies only? I would never hold it against you! Play however its most fun!
This season M+ is way much easier than last 2 seasons. That's why I can always meet people that not belong to the key level. such as a 2900+ mage did 10k damage in key level 22. And people still dont know the boss mechanics in key level 23+. I think key level 20 in this season probably only similar to the key level 17-18 in S2 and S1.
Really cool achievement. I also got to 3k for the first time ever doing it as disc. Then spriest became viable again and I switched to push to 3.1. Dps is way easier. I also prefer to pug because my guild tanks are frustrating. They never make the same plays as the good pug tanks I play with 😅
I have a lot of respect for healers. I leveled a druid to 70 to heal. I decided to do a +2 muruzond (i had around 424iLvl). I got a 2dps with +470 and +2k rating etc... thought it was gonna be an easy run. But it was almost like they didin't give af. I felt like they didn't even try to avoid damage, there we're barely any interrupts. Yea, i know it's only a +2 but you still take a lot of dmg if you don't try to avoid damage at all. And decided to nope out of healing as a resto druid after that run. Of course it was +++ but still.
I play world of warcraft for over 12 years now but never on retail. Still trying to figure out which healer to play. Would be great to get a honest video about it :)
I find it curious that you mention stress with disc. my first healer ever was MW in BFA, but only started properly trying to heal towards the end of S1 dragonflight. MW is my favorite and most played, i experimented a bit with rsham rdruid and tried disc for the first time this season... and it was by far the most relaxing one for me lol. Mostly because other healers have more tools to succeed, but i felt like i had to solve a puzzle for every event. On disc the solution to every problem seemed to be the same... mindbender + penance + prayers.
24-21's. I think all timed 22's or something at +2 does it? But if you try and high ball the easy ones, and 21-20 the 1-2 you can't stand (on a given week) you can def hit it! Remember matching a previous week score is not that many points. But getting a new key level does. So I like to go 23-24 fort->tyrannical etc etc until I need to clean up one by one.
I pugged as vengeance all my keys to an exact 20 on both weeks (that OCD kicking in, now I can't go higher they are all a perfect 20), and I get what you say on the pug experience, it's so fun. By the way, I apologize to all groups I played with for the first couple of weeks when I was figuring out why I was not survivable and how to get better. Success rate was variable and depended on the healer mostly. Now that I know my spec way better (and the dungeons) I feel like I can carry my group almost by myself, pack after pack boss after boss, vengeance has so many tools and you can really be hard to bring down. I also find now that bosses that I found hard I just didn't time my cooldowns correctly and that I had the wrong spec or wrong stuff (though Rezan on tyranical still hits hard that mf). As an aside, dont you feel like you know when a pug run was smooth when you have people sticking around at the end and even they don't really know why instead of quiting the group and tp ? Saying stuff like "ty, very nice run", or "super smooth", or "nice one thank you all". Its not much, but its ... cool. As a tank, having led the group, managing the route and the pulls its satisfying.
Congrats! I really, really can't get into Hpally. It is by far my least favorite spec in the game (all roles) In terms of push weeks, it's because bad/mediocre players are afraid of the harder affixes. People also get complacent if they think the affixes are easy. I think all healers need an interrupt, even if it's a bad one like 45s. Druids having to shapeshift to interrupt is an awful design
off topic: why are there so many guardian druids not pressing iron fur? I have been playing with it lately and I usually heal. I enjoy it. But seriously so many druid tanks just falling over, I look through details and they have crap iron fur uptime. wtf?
I've played with so many druids with bad iron fur who just die. Playing BTM with my bear friend, she's almost never dying until its some awful +25 fortified garbage lol. I want these bears to just hit iron fur T.T
I’m looking to get into healing, can safely say this has put me off haha. But in all seriousness which would you recommend for a noob healer? Mistweaver (have a tank monk already), holy priest (boosted) or shaman (never played ever)
In some cases for folks getting to high level keys that just seem to fall over and die as DPS are tank mains. Tank brain is a real thing and you don't realize just how many things just one-shot your dps or healer until you play as something without 1.5 million health.
Healers see it all LOL. But I think I needed to tank to be a better healer. DPS need to heal to be a better DPS. And tanks? They should player healer LOL
@@Bowserthehealer I refuse. 🤣 In my case because I don’t want to have to swap to a bunch of addons and keybinds. Yes, I do know it would make me a better player, but I’m also very old. 🤣
I keep letting this warlock die last night on a key because they wouldn't shut off there burning feet, and I couldn't keep up with the damage on my disco priest. They might want too look at it and make some changes.
Stop by stream sometime, I can read off the pieces for you I don't have them on hand. But I have two absolute go to's for my priest panda mog. Im glad you like it!
7:02 i wonder if it’s b/c the most toxic players are specifically inviting only druid & disc healers this season. i’ve literally been removed from a group after they realize I’m holy instead of disc 💀 which is ironic b/c holy can carry harder than disc in pug 20’s
I have a video on that! And my biggest flex on the internet is if you type "Bowser Interface" into google it pops up. But also, ruclips.net/video/JukhZtarWGo/видео.html incase you want a direct link to my most recent one!
i was a main healer in WoW but bc of random idiots i quit... i love the pres evoker.. but people dont understand how this class work.. sometimes it was my fault bc i clicked the wrong buttons but most of the time it was the tank or dps
felt like 90% of keys this season at least 1 person has been a carry or friends carrying friends, like whats up with that? never seen so many bad 3k players in my life
When you day "people that don't know how to play the game" what do you mean? As a casual, I love dungeoning, but you learn the game by playing. I've had people say I hate this tank, heal, dps etc. On 2.
And by no means am I talking about a 2. You can catch me in 15’s explaining things to players, and warning them in 18’s that a mistake they made is lethal soon. I mean in a 22, players not doing a boss mechanic that will kill the group like not cleaning the floor on the last boss of TotT. A tank not cycling defensives with your healing on a dark heart tree boss during the tank grab. I think tanks are the biggest discussion point. When they don’t use their active mitigation that basic tool for staying alive. If you look at the tank section I cut to a clip. Note that not only was shield block at 19% uptime, they also didn’t use defensive stance. Meaning they were in damage stance. But you do way more damage with excellent shield block up time (80-99% uptime). So the player was in a very hard dungeon (post 20) and didn’t know how to stay alive, or do more damage, or how to properly use those abilities. That is *very* strange. I roast the players that pick on the players who are learning in lower keys. There is only one way to learn! But there hits a point (18’s I think) where as a pug player I kinda expect you’ve done the dungeon a few times and kinda know what to do. And in a 25 I really don’t wanna see someone say not interrupting at all for an entire throne when the damage is so lethal
I pugged for legion, bfa and the first half of shadowlands. never again. Even with guildies that fuck up plenty it doesnt feel nearly as bad breaking a 20 or having a off night. The whole idea of pugging really is the wrost.
The rework was flowing better in S2, but that had to do with overtuned numbers specially in comparison with other healers at the time. After 10+ nerfs, the rework of Hpal was left as the worst rework in the whole expansion and left the class in a pretty unplayable state specially compared to S1/early S2 and post 10.1.5. At the current time of writing this, the rework not only did nothing positively for Hpal in the long run but actually hurt the class and left it in its worst state in a long time.
A lot of new tanks and keys being in a way where you can get gear enough where you do not need to use active defensives until suddenly you need to use them or die. Not talking about shield block that thing should be up a lot I mean things like Shield wall.
I agree that s3 is way easier due to healing changes. I played holy priest and mw (the least played healers) and couldn't hit 3k last season. This season I play as pres evoker and I got 3.3k. Sooo many declines I've never seen before, last season in pugs there was almost insta invite even if you're not the meta.
@@Bowserthehealer I have mained a healer forever but I tried taking for the first time this season with bdk, and I do more hps with him than any of my healers lol
i got 3.2k on resto druid 1 month into the season and practically stopped pushing. thats why i figure my 3.2k is worth way more than 3.2k obtained today is. gear wise, nerfs wise, people used to dungeons wise. about your 4:40 rant
I do play with mostly stock. WA's are huge for sharing things so I have that and use small ones for certain moves. Details tracks meters, plater fixes the biggest issue with default UI in that you can't see who is being targeted by a spell. If they fix that ill do a challenge, but if they don't ever fix that healing would be arbitrarily harder
MW monk being easiest? Tell me you haven't experienced DF M+ S1 as MW without telling me. Or all the other expansions we've ducked ass on.... Which are too many. But hey! At least season 3 is our season. 😂
I played it season 1 2 3 of this expac, and season 1 2 3 and some of 4 on Shadowlands. I stand by what I said, and especially in season 3 (shadowlands) I have the score =P
no, 3k is very hard if you pug. 3600 with a solid group is also hard. Pugging 3600 is hard until you meet people. Not sure what you came here to say. But I wouldnt downplay it, Its been easier doing 24-26's in a group than any of the pugging I did. Which I did mention in the video
If you want more people to sub get rid of the furry avatar talking thing. Its a complete turn off, you sound good, you dont need a furry avatar thing ruining it.
Don’t watch then. It makes me happy, you don’t. Go away then if it bothers you so much. I’ll take the subscribers that aren’t so upset about dragons lol
My theory on why pugging during push weeks is harder is because it raises the floor for worse players and the better players are playing higher keys. During bad weeks good players are just getting weeklies a lot of the time. This is coming from a vdh that did +18s to fill my vault on fort bolstering but did +29-30s to fill my vault on most other weeks. Its just a lot more time efficient to finish atal dazar in 11-15 minutes for each weekly key then to struggle through higher keys
I gave up on Disc and went Holy. I just hate the gameplay of having to do damage to heal. Holy is more fun for me. I hit 3k on my RSham and would like to hit it on Holy, my next healer might be Monk. As for tanks, they hold cooldowns far too often I find, having played BDK to 2500 I have a bit of experience.
Disc Priest main here - so what you're experiencing isn't really a "stress dream", its just N'Zoth checkin you out while you sleep. It's a common side effect of using Mindbender off cooldown.

One of the biggest things for PuGing that changes everything is a leader. Someone marking what they want killed, or kicked. Most times it's the tank, but really it can be anyone.
Looking for the man of your dreams, huh? Not sure if I exactly check the man box (being an amab enby) but I'll keep ya busy from end to end ;)
On a more serious note thank you for everything you do, you are an absolutely killer content creator. I don't really have time for WoW right now in my life but I still make sure watch everything you put out.
Im late to this comment, but thank you so so much
You are my favorite healing related content creator.. you are way more relatable to me..
Congrats!
Congrats!
okay okay this video now got me subscribed. I'm not on a challenge like you but everything you said is just 1:1 me and my thoughts haha I play every potential healer class on heal (around 2,5k atm), expierencing the same ups and downs as you. And I also rather play with randoms - as self destroying as it sounds. Always an adventure xD
The smooth keys are so strange, because nothing happens. I love the thrill of pugging, and everyone is allowed to know! But I'm glad I'm not alone!
i main hpal and its nice to see some other hpals bar that doesnt have light of dawn on it its also nice to see you using flash heal during the proper damage phases
Kudos to you !
I love healing but just don’t have the confidence to PUG
Sooooo, checkin for a pulse here on the difficulty of season 4 lmao
Maybe give those Prot Warriors a macro comboing Shield Block and Shield Slam ;)
God they would at least hit like 60% right? T.T
Good video! I don't play retail but this was good and easy to listen to. GJ
You're amazing wow content has officially convinced me to subscribe (like 2 months ago :D)
Love you Bowser, goat channel
Thank you! So so so much!
hahaha the disc priest nightmare part is funny :D
U gioe 3 weeks later its better mate!
Great effort 👍
Respect man, there are so many bad players in this game.
Im really happy that i have a good m+ grp, if i had to pug i would quit the Game.
I pugged every healer to KSM and have a disc priest as KSH and ppl already called me a masochist.
It is such a big personal milestone to get KSH as disc.. I wished we had instant radiance tier set. It was so helpful for M+ pugging
And you won biggest bottom in WoW.
In all seriousness congrats, this is a big achievement!
THATS POWER BOTTOM TO YOU
and thank you!
@@Bowserthehealer a bottom is still a bottom. uwu
What is the rough mythic level required for 3k?
I’m just getting back and 2500. Mostly times 20s.
Wow!!! GZ what a GOD
Congrats!
I really, really can't get into Hpally. It is by far my least favorite spec in the game (all roles)
In terms of push weeks, it's because bad/mediocre players are afraid of the harder affixes. People also get complacent if they think the affixes are easy.
I think all healers need an interrupt, even if it's a bad one like 45s. Druids having to shapeshift to interrupt is an awful design
What was your opinion of different tank specs for different healers?
Do you plan on releasing a healing guide for new players?
I have one planned for Pres. But do you mean like a general healing guid? I haven’t don’t a general healing guide in a minute I could totally do that
off topic: why are there so many guardian druids not pressing iron fur? I have been playing with it lately and I usually heal. I enjoy it. But seriously so many druid tanks just falling over, I look through details and they have crap iron fur uptime. wtf?
I've played with so many druids with bad iron fur who just die. Playing BTM with my bear friend, she's almost never dying until its some awful +25 fortified garbage lol. I want these bears to just hit iron fur T.T
I’m looking to get into healing, can safely say this has put me off haha. But in all seriousness which would you recommend for a noob healer? Mistweaver (have a tank monk already), holy priest (boosted) or shaman (never played ever)
i made it out of most of my keys on my vdh till i hit 23
s-25's cause people apparently cant stay alive anymore but was nice journey to watch
In my case because I don’t want to have to swap to a bunch of addons and keybinds.
Yes, I do know it would make me a better player, but I’m also very old. 🤣
I keep letting this warlock die last night on a key because they wouldn't shut off there burning feet, and I couldn't keep up with the damage on my disco priest. They might want too look at it and make some changes.
Still need the mog on your Holy Panda ☺️
I needz it!
Could you share your addons UI everything
I have a video on that! And my biggest flex on the internet is if you type "Bowser Interface" into google it pops up. But also, ruclips.net/video/JukhZtarWGo/видео.html incase you want a direct link to my most recent one!
they finally did it. the evil is defeated :’)
i pugged 2 healers to 3k for the first time ever this season, and im spent completly spent rofl
i was a main healer in WoW but bc of random idiots i quit... i love the pres evoker.. but people dont understand how this class work.. sometimes it was my fault bc i clicked the wrong buttons but most of the time it was the tank or dps
felt like 90% of keys this season at least 1 person has been a carry or friends carrying friends, like whats up with that? never seen so many bad 3k players in my life
I even get into groups that clearly all know eacother and its still a crap show. I have no idea what happened T.T
So,what are your plans for Season 4?
T A N K S and a husband? We can hope! But I'll be playing a ton of healer too! Ill prob make an update video about what the future has!
@@Bowserthehealer well I 'd say Disc,pwar,ppal for S4!
@@Bowserthehealer thanks for the response! Enjoy the content!
At the current time of writing this, the rework not only did nothing positively for Hpal in the long run but actually hurt the class and left it in its worst state in a long time.
tanks this season have been a different breed of bad so im glad im not the only one
*I seriously need to know why its this bad this season. I thought season 2 was bad how did they get so much worse T.T*
A lot of new tanks and keys being in a way where you can get gear enough where you do not need to use active defensives until suddenly you need to use them or die.
Not talking about shield block that thing should be up a lot I mean things like Shield wall.
I never play with Aug I feel like 90% have no idea what they are doing they just get carried
I pugged to 3k as fury
Why would you do this to yourself?
You skipped blood DK
THEY ALSO FELL OVER CONSTANTLY T.T AND I LOVE BDK
@@Bowserthehealer I have mained a healer forever but I tried taking for the first time this season with bdk, and I do more hps with him than any of my healers lol
i got 3.2k on resto druid 1 month into the season and practically stopped pushing.
thats why i figure my 3.2k is worth way more than 3.2k obtained today is. gear wise, nerfs wise, people used to dungeons wise.
about your 4:40 rant
Try the pugs on, its a very very very different vibe
Whats next 3k every healer with 0 addons stock ui😅
I do play with mostly stock. WA's are huge for sharing things so I have that and use small ones for certain moves. Details tracks meters, plater fixes the biggest issue with default UI in that you can't see who is being targeted by a spell. If they fix that ill do a challenge, but if they don't ever fix that healing would be arbitrarily harder
I cba to push my main to 3k xD
dont bother telling you grp what to do. they dont care
3k isn’t hard tho. 3600 is hard
no, 3k is very hard if you pug. 3600 with a solid group is also hard. Pugging 3600 is hard until you meet people. Not sure what you came here to say. But I wouldnt downplay it, Its been easier doing 24-26's in a group than any of the pugging I did. Which I did mention in the video
Bro 3k isn’t hard 😂- I came back after a year off from S1 and am almost 3k in less then 2 weeks playing a few hours here and there
touch grass
If you want more people to sub get rid of the furry avatar talking thing.
Its a complete turn off, you sound good, you dont need a furry avatar thing ruining it.

@@MrOrangeonion ur a grown ass man bro, get over furries 😭
