@@matthewosterman9030 He likes him. Forsburn just isn't that good. Even when played optimally he struggles against a good portion of the cast. His recovery is super exploitable and he's hard to play but doesn't get that much more value from being hard like sheik. He's not terrible but a lot of other characters in this game are godlike like ranno, clairen, etc.
Im not good at this game, but I can yap Forsburn for sure. For his throws, down is a phenomenal tech chase, forward can directly combo into D-special, killing at ledge, and back and up both seem to put distance more than be combo potential given the end lag on them. Using those two into laying smoke is a good diversion. For recoveries, his mileage varies mostly with how much youre placing smoke and mixing options while off ledge. When high, you can stall and tp back into your smoke, you can throw clone from smoke, you can forgo the throw and recover WITH your clone so they have to guess which is you, and ledge stalling into more smoke if possible to make future recoveries also works, depending on what your opponent starts to anticipate. Fun fact, you can u-special with no direction and appear where you started for more mindgames. SDing is very possible, though. You've already figured his best kill moves, b-air and d-special which is damn impressive the way you combo into them, but dont sleep on raw strongs, ironically. It's like a bell curve of it being viable against those who dont know, losing mileage as people get better, and then becoming relevant again when people dont expect it anymore. And there's placing smoke whenever you have the chance. Coming in unexpected, or successful clone bamboozles sometimes just wins neutral, plus when you get into habit of having somewhere to return to, having 3 charges is easier to see on the wasteland skin simply by the lack of smoke in the vicinity. While yes, it can be hard to tell if you have it, no smoke and not being able to lay more is an easy tell, plus your opponent now ALSO has to discern whether you're charged or not which imo is a pretty polarizing detail for the skin, now that I mention it. Anyone, feel free to correct me on these, I'm learning too, and would be glad to know where im wrong.
I think one thing you can do is use side b forsburn toss first to the wall, then wall jump and then activate the smoke. It provides a good mixup with the up b without losing any unnecessary drift.
Using first hit of his f strong and canceling into other moves more often improves his ground game a lot. U tilt for combos down tilt for tech chases and side tilt for the vape
Also holding down special after using clone keeps the clone grounded. Then exploding the clone is good for safe edgegaurds and potentially kill confirms
judging by his gameplay, he looks pretty much the same as rivals 1 forsburn if not better, so im chillin. but keep going voiid, don't give up hope on my man 🙏
From putting him in F tier in a tier list, to playing Forsburn in competitive RoA2, to reaching masters with Forsburn. Void went through a character arc with Forsburn.
Void seems to really enjoy forsburn. I bet he’s gonna really love maining him in the long run
Seeing void be happy and enjoy forsburn knowing how it turned out after days of playing him is unfortunate
What happened?
@@-Fraudhe died irl
@@FlyingWithFeathers enserio ?
He ended up not liking him?

Forsburn is def the "Don't smoke or u'll end up like me" character
16:07 i know this is late but the 2nd regrab will always auto tech in a tech chase grab scenario

Void confirmed gooner

i tanked my rank trying to figure this character out. finding time to get smoke stacks so you can actually kill feels impossible.
