Oops I confused saying hitfall grab with hitgrab. It's called a hitgrab since it doesn't work vs shielding (command grabs do). Must have been confusing to hear that haha my bad!
one of the biggest hurdles I struggled with when trying to play this character off intuition was that I expected his nair to be like falcon nair (in ult) where its a combo tool. very helpful stuff here also I didnt realize the adaptive stick existed thanks
I have been playing Wrastor for a while now and I think the hardest thing to get used to for me was down air and just knowing what move to use at that moment. This is a really helpful guide! Thanks Mr.R!
Later percent kill confirms with Wrastor are late hit dash attack into aerial up strong and jab 3 into aerial strong. You can also tech chase with down throw into Wrastor up b if you can land a grab. Other than that, like Mr. R says its a random nair or maybe a parry into up b.
1:15 I do Z-Jump, so on my Gamecube Controller I have Y assigned as my grab, and there is an option to set your Aerial Grab to be something specific. I set it for Strong attacks. (They do that because grab is useless in the air, so why not have it be assigned for something useful?)
I think is because for Clairen is easier. For Wrastor you need to be more precise and it's more inputs. So, many people in Stone, Bronze and Silver can actually do the Clairen one but can't do the Wrastor one.
Characters have different speeds at which they are pushed downward while airborne. When a character is called a "fast-faller" it means their downward acceleration is greater, as if a higher gravity was applied to them, and their maximum downwards velocity is also greater. A "floatie" character instead is the opposite, lower downward acceletation and lower max velocity
@Pal42_ I wanna post the meme of the turtle from Over the Hedge looking exasperated. Thanks for the explanation but holy shit does the game have to be so much

*This Mr R guy might know a thing about wrastor*
Just the one, though
The best character guide for this game yet.
the dair juggling is so sick
The top of up tilt also kills as a high% stray hit

So wrastor also has a throw 50/50 but Clairen is the one that gets complained about I see how it is.
Great vid btw, very concise.
It's because Clairen is a low level stomper.

@@Jowannabe that’s fair, wrastor is also way less common
Please show us a wrastor training routine with combo to lab etc
Friend mains wrastor so I'm taking notes
"Mr R. I'm so sick of you, everywhere I go you're there"
C9 Mang0 2024
😆😆😆😆😆😆
Much love and great video.
@7:28 did you mean special ledge attack insead of special pummel?
goat shi right here
What does adaptive on the c stick do as opposed to tilt stick?
I think it taps when running, smashed when you're still.
wait, you can hitfall his down b grab?
4:51 - Why is it called a "hitfall grab?"
I think he mixed up the terms "hit grab" and "hit fall" (in case you don't know a hit grab is a grab that doesn't go through shield)
@ thank you for explaining! I’d never heard of a “hit grab” before.
ULTRAAA
Are you that guy Mang0 despises?
I love you
@5:20 "in other words, most of the cast!" *names exactly 5 out of 10 characters* 🧐
clairen kragg and zetter alone make up like 2/3rds of people online total from what i’ve played so far so close enough lol
Someone send this to Ludwig stat!!!
how do i consistently b-reverse up b on hit?
When you input up b, you have enough time and also a buffer window to input the direction you wanna go. Just takes practice.
@@jatinmarcob2128thank you!
Update the tags for this video man its not easy to find.
Great video but him calling down b a "hit fall grab" all video irrationally bothered me
My brother in christ, what is a "fast-faller" or a "floatie"? Istg ya'll out here speaking dead languages or some shit
