Bodycam Shows 'Gator Wrangler' Capture Massive Alligator in Texas Neighborhood

- Deputy constables with the Fort Bend County Constables Office in Texas enlisted the help of a local "gator wrangler" to assist in capturing and relocating a 400lb alligator on September 12. The alligator was taken to a sanctuary after being captured and safety lifted into a vehicle using a tow truck.

Good gawd! There's for sure plenty of gators around. But it's just crazy to see one that friggin big just hanging out in the neighborhood. That area isn't like surrounded by swamps or anything. There's a river that runs thru closeby, but it's not real rural or at all an area where you'd expect there to be a problem with gators.

We had a 21 foot alligator hit and killed by a simi truck in LaWard Tx. It was crazy big, it knocked off the road like a cow. It landed in the ditch completely intact with no open wounds . Yup, tow truck and ambulance was called.

It doesn’t weigh 1100 lbs. I watched a guy catch and weigh a 13 footer and it weighed a little over 900 lbs.

yeh we bagged an 11 footer once and didnt use a tow truck. I think it took 3 guys to get it into the boat. In his defense, the gator wasnt alive either.

That's a large bull! Sad to watch, but he can do a lot of damage to pets and kids who are curious, as well as the elderly who cannot move quicky.
When I was a kid, there was a medium-sized gator who turned up in a pond in my grandparents' gated community in FL. One of the kids stood dangerously close to him while he (gator) sunned himself one day. Some called a trapper, who came and caught him and took him away.
