      Hey Ben! I have recently start a “Global Lost & Found Paws” Where people say if they lost a dog/cat or if they found one. Right now we are only at 2 members since it was made a few hours ago.

    The 7 points to help others, thanks ben!:
    1. Page like campaign (then Invite those who like, to join the group)
    2. Promote the group on all channels available to you
    3. Add into footer signature on all your emails
    4. Make sure the name is searchable. For me i’ll start with “Being the best dad you can be”.
    5. Up to 3-5k members, personally answer everything
    6. Turn post approval on at 10k members
    7. Set up rules for your group

    Excellent info. Especially about group rules. I closed a group down recently cos it was spammed all the time even with rules! Now I know what to do to improve!

    I've had a 'closed group' for 6+ years and it grew quickly to 20,000 members then crawled to 22,000 then reduced to 20,000 again and has been locked in there for years and years. It currently has 20,000 members. I took a 7 month break from SM and left the work to the admins who have all been with me for years.. before I left, it was 20,000 members. Last year this time, 20,000 members. Three years ago, you guessed it... 20,000 members.

    1. When running the like campaign, how much is the cost per group member?
    2. Are the group members that are invited from the like campaign quality members?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад +1

      Hi Ernie - that really depends on who you are advertising to and where you are advertising. Rough estimate might be 50 cents per member.
      They can be - really depends who you are advertising to.

    You''re brilliant Ben, I can tell. I liked and became a Subscriber. I have a question for you and really need an experts opinion. I have started a local group in a small city where I live in Cambodia. Not that holds any weight on the issue :-) I am not sure if I may be going against FB guidelines. I produced an interactive flipbook that includes information and ads from businesses in the local market. I offer the service for free until I get a strong member base and then hope to make a little bit of money for all of the time I am putting in. Anyhow, do you think I am going to have an issue with FB, setting up a group page with local business advertisers? Thanks in advance Ben.

    Hi Ben, thanks for a cracking video 🙂 I'm a specialist headshot photographer in London (if you need a new headshot) I've just added 2000 page likes in a week for 3 cents each following your 'page likes video'. I'm looking forward to applying your group tips to starting my group. Thanks for such great content. My question is, would it be better to keep my group topic really narrow such as actors' headshots or make it broader to include corporate, Linkedin, personal branding and model headshots etc...? Cheers

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад

      Thanks a lot. I would keep as broad as your service offering. If you just want Actors then go with that. But if you service other markets I would broaden it out to encompass them.

    Hi Ben - Thank you. Thinking about boosting my Facebook Group by adding a Facebook Ad - Like my page strategy (much cheaper conversion). Current Conversion FB campaign engagements are invited to like my page and then invite them to join the group.
    1. Again, because I fit into the Direct to Offer model you describe, does it make sense for me to increase my overall FB Ad budget by adding a FB Like my Page campaign to boost my group size? If so, is there an approximate % of my conversion budget that I should test?
    2. Is there a way to use UTMs or to leverage conversion data passed to Shopify to identify sales resulting from a Facebook Page post or Facebook Group Post? What do the terms Facebook and Facebook UA in Shopify conversions data and Lucky Orange source information mean (these do not have a FB Ad UTM associated with them)? Wondering how to interpret this information.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад

      Hi Jan,
      1) I'd probably only use around 10% of your budget on this if Direct To Offer is working for you.
      2) I'd have to get one of my developers in on that as it goes over my head when you get into the technicalities of UTMs. The short answer is yes you can :)

    Hi Ben, I've only found your channel recently but really helpful. I recreated my custom audience and lookalike audience per your advice. However my old lookalike audience and new audience only have a 25% overlap. I recreated it in the exactly the same way so why is it not 100%? Facebook have been unhelpful. Thanks

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад

      Wow that is very interesting. Facebook do reclassify people from time to time so I would expect there to be a difference but not that much. Do you have a transitory market? Hobbyist markets are like this where people get really into it for 6 months and then get bored and move onto something else.

    • @selfbeliefchief
      @selfbeliefchief 3 года назад

      @@BenHeath Mine is relationship coaching market specifically around people coming out of relationships - so an evergreen market. Consistent clients for last 2 years, iOS changes have broken it

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад

      But I would say that is a perfect example of a transitory market. If your services help people as they are coming out of relationship, people might be 'hot' for your offer for 6 months or even less. If they start a new relationship, they'll no longer be interested. So there is consistent demand, but the individuals within your audience will change massively depending on their life circumstances. Facebook will most likely have worked that out and that's why your new lookalike doesn't overlap much with your old one. Makes complete sense to me.
      I would be very careful blaming the iOS changes. That is a factor but not the whole story and not a belief that serves you.

    • @selfbeliefchief
      @selfbeliefchief 3 года назад

      @@BenHeath thanks I see what you're saying, it's just that if both lookalikes look at the last 180 days, then surely it would be the same pool of people. Just has been strange to go from 40 calls/month to zero

    Ben I want to ask after turning off my fb ad campaign, my ad account was constantly charging me for the next whole day. Whenever i was refreshing my ads manager after every few minutes it was showing an increment of few cents in my outstanding balance. Do u have any idea why it happened? I tried to run an ad from another ad account, there i have also faced the same problem. There was only one thing common in both of my ads account that i was using free fb ads credits... I talked to fb supports team but they get failed to resolve my issue. I though maybe u help me regarding this issue as this was quite frustrating. When we turned off any ad campaign it should stop delivering right there... isn't it??? even if we have set any end date ??? TIA

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад

      Hmmm that sounds like a technical issue to me - very frustrating but not something I've seen before or know how to fix I'm afraid. I think only Facebook would be able to sort that for you.

    Hi Ben - great video. is there any limit to the number of page followers you can invite to join your group at any one time? I have c10k page likes- could I literally invite all 10k people in one go? Or would it be better to invite a limited number per day?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад +1

      Yes Facebook do restrict this feature. In my experience, they will only let you invite about 50 per day.

  • @janjaworskyfromscarflady6393

    When growing your group, you invite folks to like your page through an ad. Sometimes they like a post and then you are given the opportunity to invite them to like your page. For some folks in this case, some, the post offers the opportunity to Follow the person as opposed to Inviting them to Like Your Page/Already Invited to like your Page/Liked Already. Why are some Follows and not invites/invited? Should you follow them or not?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад

      Facebook limits how many invites each user can receive and how many invites can be sent. Therefore not everyone gets the same notifications.
