In blogworld, you know that signup (opt-in) box has to consider GDPR and CANSPAM and making sure they know specifically what they're opting in for. On a FB group, is it the same way or can you just ask for their email in the 3 questions? How do we handle that?
It depends on the goal of your event! What you might do is create the event on your Facebook page, and then periodically post the event in your Facebook group so that community sees it too. -Jen

I have a group for writers and I post tons of great tips etc but I can't get people to engage :/ I try to aim specifically for the right group members.. their all writers etc.. I even do challenges with a prize . That's a good idea about the event ..

This was great, but I don't have a number of the tools you reference. The events is one I would LOVE to have and use, but there's no option in my group(s) to create events.
Hi Tanya - are you an admin in the groups? Only admins can create events. The "Events" option is listed on the left side of the page between "Members" and "Videos," and then the blue events button will display. -Megan🤓

Neither have an events option. :( They were all set up as private groups, but I changed one to open ysterday thinking that might be the problem. Still cannot find any ability to create events in the group. :(

I'm planning to start a group - but... how can one person keep up with all the notifications for moderation or comment approval? I don't have anyone yet who could be an admin or moderator, so it'll be me for some time. Any ideas? I just don't think I'll be as timely as I need to be.
Hi thanks for this great video 😁 I have about 370 group members a lot invited by other members but lots inactive. It was always fairly active and I changed up my posts, however it’s gone more quiet last couple of weeks. I was told to cleanse it like my friends list..as inactive members in a way stops others seeing content? What’s the best way of doing this? I’ve asked people to set notifications to all, but some people still not getting notifications and missing content, is this due to the inactive members? Thanks x
So I found this new Chrome extension called "Invite post likers to like page for Facebook". It lets you Invite all friends and everyone who liked your post to like your Facebook page in one click or to invite your friends to the event that you created. Do you guys think Facebook allow use of such extensions? Because I really need it.
When you're in your Facebook Group, Group Insights is a button that you can click into on the left side of your screen on desktop, about half way down the page. -Jen

Hi Carolyn- I just looked on a group where I'm an admin and it took me a minute to find. For me (I'm using the new/beta Facebook layout) - way down in the menu on the left side under Settings it says Insights (it's not a button), and then below that are listed Growth, Engagement, Admins & Moderators, and then Membership. -Megan🤓

You can't run ads directly to groups - but you could get creative with it. To a bot that maybe asks them to join? :)

You have to be an admin. Also, you won't see the group insights option if your group is less than 30 days old.
