I bought the 2020 panel from our local quilt shop, it is so sweet, was easy to sew up. I hope to make another one 2021 if it’s available in my shop. Very cute fabrics and projects. Thank you, glad I found you. Merry Christmas
Hi Wendy & the team at Makower Thank you so much for posting this video. I found the link after doing a search for the company named on my calendar. I've had the calendar a year but being dyslexic I was struggling with the written instructions. The step by step PDF have been an enormous help and I can't wait to start my calendar now. Best wishes Billie
I received 2133 House Advent Calendar as a kit which included a long strip of black bias binding. Cannot find any reference in the instructions or video as to what this is for. The backing is plain black and the bias binding is also black so I cannot see the benefit of this. Can you please explain what it is for and how to implement it in the completed calendar? This was ordered months ago and due to the distance, postage and the virus it took months before I got it, as a result it did not get completed until after Christmas - I was hanging on to see if you replied re the black bias binding. But nothing so I went ahead and completed it without the binding. It looks Ok but I did think I would get a response . Cheers for a safe 2021
Hi, Can you help me please? I have bought a panel and backing and Vilene Thermal Insulated Wadding. I have put it together as shown on the video and used a walking foot but the wadding seems to be dragging and has thinned out as I have sewn. I have used the longest stitch for straight sewing. If I stitched it with the wadding to the top I wouldn't be able to follow the line, as seen in the video. So I am at a loss what to do and how to proceed. Thank you in advance.
not sure if you live in the UK but I bought mine from a local sewing store. www.sewingquarter.com have some stock of this but they are in the UK. If you google makower advent calendar panel, I think that will turn up some results for you. Hope that helps.
You’d need to buy a wooden dowel (pole) and slide it through this piece. Then get some festive coloured string and attach to this piece of wood at either end ☺️
@@conlee3199 slide it through what piece? sorry I have this just have not made it yet and would like to do it for my daughter this year.. tjgritts@hotmail.com please .. I will watch this again .. love your video
@@tracygritke9433 Fast forward the video to 6:35 and you’ll see her sewing a navy piece of narrow fabric to go on the reverse of the calendar. Once this is hemmed and attached it is through this that you would thread your wood ☺️

Excellent presentation. Thank you.
Thanks so much for an excellent tutorial, so easy to follow with explicit instructions.

How would you hang this up? I don’t understand what the strip of fabric on the back was for.

Is wadding the same as cotton batting?
Yes it's the same. Hope you enjoy making the advent.
