Literally bought this panel today at the knitting and stitching show at Alexandra Palace but wasn't sure how to do it. Can't believe ive found this tutorial for the exact one
Oh wow, what are the odds! So glad I could help, I'm also jealous you managed to get to an actual live craft event. It's been such a long time since I've been to one. Enjoy your purchases
Its absolutely gorgeous !! Bias binding is not my friend 🤣🤣 yes next time just get a wider one and tuck all of your fabric inside to sew just once ... but still yours looks very neat so it worked for you ! Its gorgeous .. never seen those panels but would love to have a go xxxx fantastic job !!!! 😍😍😍😍
Oh my gosh sew once makes so much more sense! 🤦♀️ You should totally try it, I found ones for making snowmen too or printed templates / patterns you cut out and sew up to make a teddybear 🐻
Fantastic advent calendar you have shown such inspiration something i would never of tried ,one thing i really never liked was sewing and sewing machines .you have made me think maybe i should DI.t.rY... thank you for sharing as always kind regards Janine
Go for it!! 😃 I've already been looking up new things to try, just basic projects like zipper pouches and maybe in the new year I'll try working with patterns
Nicely done!! I really liked how you’re learning as you go. It means a lot to me to know this because I struggle too with projects I’ve never down before but you’re right… it’s live & learn. Well done!
This tutorial popped up in my recommendations; I fell in love with the panel you used!!! I finally found one & am going to make this one for myself, but you inspired me to make both my Neices an advent calendar; I think they’ll make great gifts too! Thank you!!!!
Yeah they sell different sizes of that binding, and even quilt binding. I wouldn’t recommend the silky type of quilt binding because it can be tricky to sew on neatly.
This calendar is adorable! You did a great job!!!
Thanks Linda, if you look really close you can see a bunch of mistake but overall I'm really proud of it 😊
A great lesson I have 2 panels for friends that have cats so with October birthdays it's good timing.
Hope you have fun creating

Thanks so much for the tip!
Where did you find that?!
I got mine from Create and Craft. If you search for advent calendar panel or quilting panel online you will find many examples. Good luck
