    Fact check reviews.
Scala is NOT smaller than the Golf. It's bigger in every dimension.

I have the 1.5 tsi Monte Carlo manual and it’s an excellent car. I love the pano roof and the seats are excellent. Engine is very strong too and is less jerky as a manual

"And the boss has said 'Whoa, I don't know, just a car with wheels and windows and doors' and em, well, here it is".

The irony is that exactly the same swipe could taken at the VW Golf, renowned for its conservative and relatively unchanged external design over several decades.

I’ve just ordered a 2023 SE in the 1.5 tsi with the DSG. These now come with two spoke steering wheel and only 4k miles on the clock at a bargain price. Having test driven one, it’s actually not that much slower than my GTI, and although I really would have liked to spend the extra money on the M.C range, I think it still looks fab

This is one of the most practical, best value, nicely packaged small cars you can buy today.......only thing it could improve on is the looks but they are still acceptable

I don't know what are you on about, the car looks awesome. Just the basic trim without full LED lights and the basic alloys make it kinda ugly. I bought mine two weeks ago and it looks beautiful with the wheels and colour i picked for the car. instagram.com/p/B6sllfpjOf_/

No,!! I totally disagree with your summing up. When you are crawling around on speed restricted roads and in queues of traffic, excitement is the farthest thing from your mind; ticking every box is the best remedy for pent up frustration at the conditions.

Quick note this is based on the Polo underpinnings. they have strechted the chassis to its max.

I just adore what they have done to the back with the black glass covering most of the rear door/boot. Skoda make great cars; I've had 2 of them: the Octavia Estate vRS and the Skoda Yeti both brilliant fpr different reasons...

Yes, I like the rear window, it looks great just after I wash it. This my 2nd Skoda. I had an Octavia back in 1999.

One of my friends has the forerunner of this - the Rapid Spaceback - it's been a really good car - totally trouble-free and has a great boot - ideal for Golfers. I suspect this will be even better - and, personally, I like the simple styling.

Ok taste is different, but this car is seriously good looking! Much better than the focus or golf. Maybe the kia xceed or vaux come close but still. Front has audi look and feel and back a volvo class. It is perfect!

I have a 1.5 Scala Monte Carlo and am very happy with it. I like the fact that it does not have a VW badge and for me it is a better designed car. I like Skodas

  • @IwillBwaiting

The front looks a bit like a mish mash between the new 1 series and an A1 . Many want to be seen in one of those , so this look will appeal to many . Add the 3 grand bonus on top of the Golf and you know you've got a winner .

The Scala is longer than the golf. Quick Google search would've told them that.

Originality and design. These days, most car manufacturers are too busy copying each other to even think about such an outragious concept. For me, it looks like a hybrid Audi/Seat.

You don't find the same bits in a Scala as Golf.
Scala is based on the Polo platform. But still longer than Golf - not shorter as said.
I would like to hear which car is better, more spacious, more luxuriose and fun for the price of a Scala. Only when you can point at another car there can be some substance in your claim.

  • @Joakim.Bengtsson

I have an Octavia with the same automatic transmission. Never had jerkiness issues, but two times the engine cut out when going very slow and stopping at a small incline. This was probably due to the transmission. Perhaps I did not press the brake hard enough quickly enough.
I find the Octavia barely large enough to use as a family car, considering interior space. Boot space is exactly enough in the Octavia, a lot of thing just barely fit, but they do fit, so boot space is fine on the Octavia.
Going larger than the Octavia would mean issues with parking in many places where I live, or at least problems with being able to open the doors after having parked.
    Get the Octavia.

Completly disagree with your opinion on the negative styling. I really think this car has close design
Silhouette of the Audi A3 Sport line.

I am considering a Scala to replace my Astra. I am on my third Astra. The Scala has caught my eye due to the excellent value. Would a Scala be more expensive for parts and servicing than an Astra?

  • @ekspert081

The Scala is based on the Vision RS (which IS a exciting car). The Dynamic and Emotion packages are mandatory, as well as the sport suspension and either the 17" or 18" aero wheels. Without that it's not a real Scala.

    • @fuhrerhosty
      @fuhrerhosty 4 года назад

I agree, without the 17 or 18 inch aero alloys the car doesn't look anywhere near as good.

It seems that the general public share your view about lack of inspiration - how often do you see one of these? Is it shallow to go for good looks and interesting design, as per Peugeot 3008? Personally I'm happy that not everyone is a pragmatist

You can tell he really dislikes the car. Lately I saw a basic trim Scala at the car dealer and it was hideous. A fully kitted out Scala on the other hand looks absoluetly georgeous. I don't know any other car that transforms that much.

  • @Grant0610

I guess design is subjective but to me this whole car is as dull as dishwater. It’s just a car for those who are not too bothered with what they have. Just my opinion.
