An extra lil tip that worked with my Toshiba desktop was once you switch the boot system and restart and it still doesn’t work, turn it back to the original setting and restart and mine worked!

Hello! How to fix "Insert system disk in drive. Press any key when ready..." when installing in UEFI. This laptop was working fine until I decided to install a fresh version of Windows because I upgraded it to an SSD. I reinstalled Windows 10 and 8.1 multiple times in UEFI mode but it's refusing to boot. I tried installing it on MBR partition and Legacy Windows and it booted successfully in CSM boot mode. But I need UEFI for enhanced security and faster boot-up. I can't clone Windows from the old HDD because I've already backed up my data and formatted it(Very bad decision). Please help

Hi there, great videos! Does this removable media work without having a product key? Not sure if it will transfer on my toshiba from within the laptop. Since I have a different harddrive now. Please advise on this :0) I haven't installed the win 10 yet, still making the media usb
Not sure if I 100% understand the question so sorry if I get this wrong. If you created or purchased the Windows 10 Install Media USB, in newer computers, it will pull the Windows activation key directly from the motherboard during install. If not, then you will have to activate it manually.
Yes, that’s exactly what I was wondering. Thank you so much for that. I have the Toshiba satellite and I installed it last night and it worked beautifully, it must’ve took the original product key from the motherboard. That’s great! I learned something new I have two other computers to work on as well. Thank you so much.

I tried the same thing but when i save and boot then it doesn't open installation window and just restarts my laptop.
Is your computer turning on and working well other than not being able to install Windows? If not, what is happening?
@@PC_Monkey Its working well. The only problem is that I am unable to boot from usb.
windows will not get to the set up screen after changing the boot order to usb. got some weird screen with vertical lines and the cursor blinking in the upper left corner

i like your video. i got a question ? i recently got my old toshiba l300 laptop out . Well its been yrs since been on it. Well Google chrome said I have to upgrade to Windows 10. So I tried to upgrade to Windows 10 and My laptop would not except it ? Do I have to replace the processor and memory. thanks Ron.
If the computer is too old, it may not be very good with Win10. What OS does it have now? Also, does it meet the specs seen here? support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-system-requirements-6d4e9a79-66bf-7950-467c-795cf0386715
Thanks for replying. It has a AMD A6 processor and windows 8.1. I downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft website. It didn't cost anything and it took awhile. Then when it was finishing the download. It popped up a message saying it had to restore my laptop back to the original operating system because it wouldn't take it.
help me please, I tried this yesterday but it's just made a cycle where it goes back to the 1st step installation
I remove and turn the laptop on but when I try to install again it is stuck on the dynabook logo
After the install completes and before the computer restarts, did you remove the Install Media USB? If not, the computer could restart, see the Install Media USB, and start the install process all over

Ya, sorry. I dont understand the question. Are you asking what normal apps or software you usually have when purchasing a new Toshiba computer?
@PC_Monkey as in specific hardware that comes from toshiba. Not the bloatware. But the actual system hardware. Like bluetoothRLink. Toshiba application installer etc. Or is all that apart of drivers and I'm being dumb lol
@@jamespirkle3795 That should be all part of the initial software package when you install. The third party apps wont be there but all that bluetooth, wifi, etc should still be there.
i tried downloadin the window creation media as i am trying to run it fails and says its not a alid 32win application as my pc is operating on window 7 can you please help me
Many times, Win7 machines do not work very well with Win10 :( I dont even try installing Win10 on them anymore :( Is your computer turning on and working well other than not being able to install Win10?
Hi..I hope you're good. I need help, my laptop cannot switch on..there are signs that it has turned on ( the lights on the keyboard and fan sound) but the screen is black..I'm using the Toshiba
1. If lights and the fan are on and stay on, perhaps the computer is actually turning on but the screen isnt working. For a computer that turns on but the display does not work, try this video first; ruclips.net/video/e9iy30J00-k/видео.html

1. Are you trying to install Windows to your Toshiba computer using a Install Media USB or are you trying to create the Install Media USB?
2. If you are trying to install to your computer, was your computer working well before this attempted install? If not, what was happening?

That depends on the laptop. Not all computers are compatible with Win10 or Win11. Which are you wanting to upgrade to and what OS did your computer have originally?
My toshiba dynabook r63/p HDD & RAM pass. Done bios troubleshooting, no good. Huhu 😭

I was able to change the boot priority but after i save & exit, it doesnt show the installation setup but keeps coming back to the boot menu

5:25 this happened but it took me back to 3:21 the windows options every time i tried. Is this normal?

@@PC_Monkey 1. Yes but I have to keep it plugged in with the charger or else it'll shut down but it was kept on the whole time it was downloading
2. I used a 128gb USB for the download

Replaced the hard drive and the CMOS battery in a Toshiba LX 835 all in one but the hard drive is not showing up in the bios and not showing during the windows 10 install. Checked the date and time and switched UEFI and even switched boot sources but nothing.Kinda stomped, I'd love any advice you have.
Was the computer working well before the HDD replacement? If not, what was happening?

Ok I get the black screen with the message "check cable connection reboot and select proper boot device".
I followed all of the troubleshooting steps in your boot loop video besides the diagnostic (my computer doesn't have that feature) and that's how I was able to get to the windows os installation steps. That's when I noticed that the hdd wasn't detected by both the bios and windows set up.
@@porschehenry6097 I would try reseating the HDD and any HDD linking components. Any HDD cables or boards that connect the HDD to the Motherboard. If that does not help, I would then replace the HDD
Can Toshiba Notebook NB520 be formatted to Win 10 or 11?
Does that computer originally come with Win7? If so, you can try to install Win10 if you like but usually Win7 manchines dont run Win10 very well. They can be slow and very glitchy. I dont even try to install Win10 onto Win7 machines anymore :(

2. If the factory reset didnt work, have you tried a new install using the Install Media USB as seen here?
My pc is a Lenovo and my monitor is dell I reset it and clean it out now when I plug in my mouse and keyboard they don’t work
@@Rush4eyes If the reset didnt work correctly, I would then try a new install. Assuming you wish to have Windows 10, you can see that here: ruclips.net/video/dxmJOYXkhPU/видео.html. Also, what OS do you have now and what OS did the computer originally come with?

Hello I have an asus tuf gaming laptop f17 I spilt water on it about 3 months ago I took the back off and let it dry but nothing is working I don’t know much about computers could you help

I get to it to restart and I am back at the first install windows screen 😢I was running windows 7home originally but needed to update.
@@BethanyAnnette91 Windows 7 machines are very often too old to run Windows 10 unfortunately. If you are able to install Win10, the computers are often slow and glitchy. In my shop, I dont even try to install Win10 onto Win7 computers any more. However, if you would like to push ahead, I can try to help. Was your computer working well before this attempted reset?
