As somebody who can't aim at all in FPS games, I enjoy being able to play the logistics game. Seeing the tides of war crafted by your actions is so cool when you know that all the characters are REAL players using your logistics.
same style like myself, I dont really suck at shooting but the ping at soltech is real bad in my country. So I instead play support classes most of the time. It's fun spamming sundies for tank support and stealth roles.
"I also wana commend you for watching this kind of video because a lot of people wont go to the effort to even learn', I liked this line a lot. I picked this up on Steam today and played for about 3-4 hours. I got absolutely smoked BUT I really did feel the sense of community. I was typing in the chat and people actually answered and were happy/funny. While of course the graphics (for 2023) lack, you can tell how good this game truly is, WAY ahead of its time. Gave me Unreal Tournament (which I loved) and Titanfall vibes (which I also absolutely loved). Thanks for the vid bro
Hey just found this video, installing the game now after seeing it featured on Steam. Brand new! looking forward to having fun in this game :D Thanks for the video
ive been realy trying to learn and i have only around 8 hours and i already love this game. and something i find funny is i believe i joined a mentor team with you yesterday and was quite usefull to start learning the game.
I love the idea of this game, I’m always a fan of big constant war games, like AV or Ashran in WoW or WvW in GW2. I’ve always wanted an mmo where I can just make a character and jump straight into pvp though instead of having to level first and this is perfect for that. I can’t wait to learn a little more about the details in this game.
Heyo! Just saw your vid and it’s keeping my fight going. I started my account 10 years ago and only played for an hour and lost interest (mostly due to I had a not super great laptop for gaming). But I’ve come back to the game a few days ago, and I’m seriously trying to get into the game but I just can’t quite get the grip, I’ve tried asking for help in games but no one seems to really want to talk, except when teams are calling out someone cheating. However your videos gonna help me hold out hope on finding my group to play the game with!
Thanks for the help. I'm not a gamer at all, last system I had was xbox 360 which I played a lot back then. I played the original planetside 20 years ago so I downloaded this and while fun I'm pretty overwhelmed.
You just cant beat those massive 3 way battles where everything seems to be exploding while 37 greenhorns scream for combat medics. I really enjoy this game, I find myself smiling and laughing my ass off more on planetside than any other FPS I've played. It can take some getting used to but once you are familiar with basics im sure you'll love it too
Idk if i saw u or one of ur clan mebers but i played today against "the boys" with the UA flag. anyways today was my first game playing planetside 2 very fun would reccomend
My biggest problem is the whole user interface. Thousands of buttons... I don't even understand the map, where to spawn. Some continents are locked, others are not... sometimes I spawn somewhere in the main base and then I am infinitely far away... I'm afraid I'm not smart enough for this game.
Each faction on each server has a different set of outfits. It's not simply cobalt > miller. For example Mike on NC Miller might make that faction not as compelling.
How do I do things? There's no tutorial at all I see I have at least 1 grenade and I've pressed all the buttons and don't know how to throw it or how to even heal myself?
Play medic and press U to redeploy each time a fight ends. If you really wanna play Infil/la/heavy, get 'medkit' to heal from 'utility' slot. Grenades replenish when you die. Goodluck.
Hi...!!! I'm wondering if you can do a series of videos or one, i don't know, for simple players, not pros or similar, for medium players and begginers, regarding loadouts they can use for every class and for every faction. I saw your videos for loadouts and it seems to me that they are the final loadouts. I think for begginers or players that not too good and they struggle to stay alive and they play just for the fun, maybe the loadouts are different but no one speaks for them. I don't know maybe i'm wrong, i don't know if they can be such loadouts. Anyway, thanks for your time reading this and thanks for your planetside videos you make, they are very helpfull at least for me. :))
First things to level: Medkits and flak armour. Equip a default 1x sight, laser & HVA ammo. If you like to aim down sights more, go 1x sight, grip & SPA ammo. Afterwards, level your ability & tool of your chosen class (rez tool and aoe heal, for example). Midgame pick two implants to max out on all classes, get a few packs for 750 certs. Default guns are usually very good. You can spend 1000 certs on one gun for the class you are maining want but that really should be it. Don't main engi for infantry, all the other classes are miles better. Cortium farm on Oshur during double exp weekend at end of month if u are desperate for certs. - members only double exp. No video sry.
@@ZealousVidya thanks for your reply, actually I wasn't personally interested as I'm a level 63 ASP player with NC, but I thought this would be useful for players who just play the game, probably mid level and not, for example, like your level or Wrel or CAMIKAZE78. Anyway, thanks again and i hope your answer be usefull, at least for new players.
I can’t even how to get in a match or play the missions or training. Do I need to buy something in the game? I absolutely hate this free to play crap. Way too confusing… this game looks amazing but I can’t figure anything out lol
How is this a guide ? It's a nice presentation of the game, now I know what kind of game it is and what's about. But not a single game mechanic is discussed here. I'm quite disapointed, I guess I'll have to keep looking
Just watched the video and want to add some friendly criticism! You spend a lot of time trying to sell the viewer on the game rather then explaining it. I get that you are very passionate about this game but the best thing you can do is just teach the new players the basics. Plannet side is a daunting game and you never actually do much in the way of explaining the premise. You never explain the main point of the game. you never explain how to take over a base, how to progress or anything like that. Try to make the main goals and how to achive them the main thing you should be teaching new players. Learning about factions doesn't matter much because in the grand sceme of things.

I have over a thousand hours in planetside, but felt i needed this
I played this 10 years ago with a group of friends, It was by far the best large scale multiplayer we ever had. Im back !

As a new guy learning the ropes of the game this is great, thanks!
I'm with you on that one! It reminds me of better battlefield days
I learn a lot from your videos on Planet Side 2; TY for the hard work you do on these videos.
Played 7 years ago and trying to get back into it. Thanks for this!

So 1 month later, how is it man?
Lagging because they haven't done their research.... That makes sense

most cinematic game of all time
I just downloaded this and trying to learn. Thank you for the video!
The reason for overlooking this game is because of the graphics and the hard learning curve
For me the curve is a solid brick wall 😢
Footage seems a bit choppy
Yeah it's a bit fucked like half way through
Excellent introduction to the game. Thank You Zealous
dayum this game still goin?
Great video! I just got into this game thanks to you. I hope you are still playing and making awesome content.
Dope guide, it was super helpful.
Thanks for this video! Its been very helpful since I was confused on how this game worked at first!.

It takes quite a while to get your bearings as a new player. Lots to learn.
I'm starting in this game, yesterday I played it a lot, thanks for the tips
I am downloading the PlayStation version. Curious about this

“Around 900 players in a server and no other games really compare to it” me thinking of hopping on eve online
Idk if i saw u or one of ur clan mebers but i played today against "the boys" with the UA flag. anyways today was my first game playing planetside 2 very fun would reccomend
How do i go back to the main menu? I'd like to switch server cause all the maps I join are unpopulated
Make multiple accounts to access all the servers.
Cobalt and Miller if you are EU
Emerald if you are NA
So we're just gonna ignore For Honor???😂
My biggest problem is the whole user interface. Thousands of buttons... I don't even understand the map, where to spawn. Some continents are locked, others are not... sometimes I spawn somewhere in the main base and then I am infinitely far away... I'm afraid I'm not smart enough for this game.
it takes a while to learn, this is a complicated game.
how does progression work in this game??? thats my question, i've been playing for a couple hours and expect to grind a lot, my problem is "where"
Do you recommend Cobalt over Miller?
Each faction on each server has a different set of outfits.
It's not simply cobalt > miller. For example Mike on NC Miller might make that faction not as compelling.
I couldn't find anybody in my server. Just wandered about for an hour and didn't find anyone or anything
thanks for the great vid 👍

Lmao love the shade thrown to Terran players in the intro

Great info!
I must say the flight controls are weird at fist compared to other games
Just had some combat, was overwhelmed and quit bc of tryhards
very nice! i like
here's to hoping @Wrel looks at all your cool videos and puts it on the launcher

Im new and playing on ps4 any advice. No i cant afford a pc before anyone asks
My advice: Use nanoweave on all classes for ps4. Join an outfit. Have fun. Planetside is a gem, epaecially on ps4.
@@ZealousVidya alright I will do that thank you for the advice
I'm super new (like less than 10 hours) and play on ps5. There is cross play right? Also would love if someone could help me out a bit more in game
Why is everyone just playing heavy what is the point of any other class ?
How is this a guide ? It's a nice presentation of the game, now I know what kind of game it is and what's about. But not a single game mechanic is discussed here. I'm quite disapointed, I guess I'll have to keep looking
So this game is like q
a bootleg version of halo?
MMO version of halo
@zealous Please don't forget old players, no age discrimination ;)
Need For Honor universe but this game style.
You'd love the team system in roblox's starscape
implying there are new players
Your PC is really struggling
New player here and this games amazing! This is what battlefield 3 and onward shoulda been!
Why bother to list the different guns for each faction if you described them all as being the exact same?
This video is just a review. Not a guide. SMH
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Not to mention the smug "copium" comment, that kind of turned me off from the game, of the community is gonna be as condescending.
Its okay but what keeps me away from the game is snipers and cloakers.
Just a class anyone can use. Use it yourself or just try to avoid them
New player basics .. as he shows us nothing just rambles a load of rubbish ...
