Man that S-10 Blazer was sweet! Definitely the one I would ask my salesperson to show me a videodisc program for...before my demonstration drive of course😂
That full sized blazer is the one we had, even that color scheme. I miss it, ti went to the great beyond in 2011. K5 Silverado. wasn't rusted away, its just it never ran for 11 yrs, it had been converted from a diesel to a 350. She was a good ol truck.
@@thunderlightning1980 yes I have & ones going back to 1935 too which was the first year they started building them. Also the K5 Blazer replaced the panel truck in 1969.
@@thunderlightning1980 Suburbans started out as having only 2 doors on the sides. Then in 1967 when the 6th generation Suburbans came out, a 3rd side door was added on the passenger side. In 1973 when the 7th generation Suburbans came out, the 4th door was added on the driver side.
LF9 was the 105hp 5.7 (Oldsmobile) diesel option, usually they were so anemic they got swapped for gas motors later on though. Same with the LT6, also Olds V-6 diesel, I've only seen those in the Caballero, also usually replaced with a gasser.
“Nobody beats Chevy trucks” Meanwhile the next commercial is probably a ford commercial which talks about beating Chevy at power, payload, towing capacity, sales, etc.
Anything can rust, My R10 Silverado has some rust holes, but compared against trucks that are 10 years newer, it has earned its stripes. I see alot of 90's GMT 400 series that are just wrecked body wise from rust, same with Ford and Ram trucks. They stopped galvanizing components on the body after the 80's which was a huge mistake.
Thoose are the Best cars in the world ! Not that kind of shit we can buy today. My Dad drive Chevrolet since 1983 so i do it the Same way. We life in Germany so i know what I am talking about.
Tony Chavez Ford outsells them, though I see a lot more older Chevrolets that are in running condition. I rarely see 70s-80s Fords, 70s-80s GM trucks are plentiful on the roadways.
actually where I live I see the opposite... Old Fords outnumber the Chevs... But I don't see it as necessarily quality issues, just as to what sold more.. Until the 1988 model Chevy made excellent pickups... Nowadays I say Dodge is better, but not by a lot
Chevy trucks cover 93% of the market’s needs. That’s like saying, we can cover what you need, but that doesn’t mean jack shit. They are trying to pull in dumb buyers into thinking they sell to 93% of the market... Chevy, always playing tricks then and now. It’s Ford that keeps innovating and that’s why they are on top.
SilvioManfredDante85 huh? I don’t hardly even see gmt400s anymore. I do however see a lot of bricknose fords (87-91). I see more of those on the road than the 92-97 aeronose
Man that S-10 Blazer was sweet! Definitely the one I would ask my salesperson to show me a videodisc program for...before my demonstration drive of course😂
I own a 82 chevy C30 crew cab dually love it !! 😎
1973-1987 Chevy C/K series is the best truck ever!
The 88 to 98 GMT400's were pretty good too.
No C,K trucks in 1987, they were R,V Series from 1987 to 1991 as far as square bodies go.
It makes me so sade that there is very few left. I love Old Chevys
man we need more people with that voice lmao
I just got a 1984 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2 diesel
Definitely not disappointed
I got an 84 GMC Sierra 2500 in November 2019. Needs a few repairs but I'm getting through them, and I love my truck
Those Chevy vans are tough, I still see tons of them still on the road in varying conditions
The A-Team!
Forget about those Trucks/Vans.... I wanna be that thin on my 50's
This man looks like treated dried wood oak, he makes the whole commercial special

I love the hubcap on the Chevy can at 2:45
yes indeed I just bought a set for my ‘85 G20 with 6.2
They denote a 3/4 Ton
Loved the old '73-'87 full size truck styles. Rust buckets, though...GM had major body corrosion issues.
That's anything man. Ford, Dodge...
Also depends where you live down south they rust slower. Whereas up north rust eats away fast
Yes!!!
I'll take that yellow stepside. She sure is purdee!
I just got one haha. It's not diesel though and it doesn't have offroad tires
And the yellow blazer
Back when trucks were real trucks
Chevy trucks are taking charge!
I like all of those vehicles. 😀
Back in the day before Suburbans became soccer mom mobiles.
Yeap. Well you ever seen a 1950 Chevy Suburban?

I’ve never heard of a diesel el camino until now...

Then comes the dodge Chrysler commerical of why it gives you the best value truck you can buy for the options
Chevy truck like a rock
From 1991 to 2003.
El Camino confirmed as a truck 😂
Cutting the roof off of a station wagon made no truck ever.
It had its purpose.... Just NOT a Truck.
People asked what I hauled in mine...
The answer: ASS!!
PoorManRC i haul ass in my station wagon does that make it a truck, and it’s not the kind of ass you’re talking about 😏
Miss the c10 truck fans maybe it be remade one day!
i don't know if this sale man still alive today!!
I just got a 1982 Chevrolet s10! It runs but needs the carburetor rebuilt.
1981-1987 c/k half ton 3/4 ton 1 ton trucks the best.
I just want a silverado with L6 an manual. those things ride smooth as silk , I tell you.
I love how he's taller than the S-10 and the El Camino doesn't even come up to nipple height. When can we have low pickup trucks again?
I drive a 1990 G20 Conversion Van
Thank you for sharing this
El camino is truck?
Holy shit, video discs!
It's Discovision baby!
Corrosion prevention my ass!!! My swb is sick with rust!!

Chevrolet Luv made in USA?
Japan, by Isuzu..
Cool 😎
What went wrong...
👍

Um.......there was no 1983 LUV.
Sure there was, same truck that became the Isuzu Pup.
Luv is base on isuzu
Model 1983 not 1982 👍
Yes I would like to buy an el camino with 6.2 deisel please lol
I’ve never heard of one till now tbh
If they made a lightweight 5.9 cummins I would put that in one
It wasn't a 6.2, it was the Olds 5.7 diesel. 6.2 wasn't available in under 3/4 T platforms.
I have to admit Chevy always has had the better full sized vans. not so much for their pickups..
Tony Chavez they've had good light/medium/heavy duty trucks. I have plenty for purchase/rental
Riley Smith Chevy and Gmc definitely have some good trucks but Ford outsells them any day of the week.

Tony Chavez I doubt that. my 85 c20 is still going strong
What’s with all the big rocks, did that ford haul all those Chevys up the rock pile, if so there must be a ford junk yard near by
GM had all those models plus pontiac, chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buik, cadillac, UK's Bedford, Saab, saturn etc
And wondered why they failed

...and 93% of those are likely in the scrap yard.
Well what do you expect? These vehicles are almost 40 years old. It would be insane if a majority of them were still on the road today.
Not that much in Arkansas, i still see majority of all but one model (LUV) here but plenty of c/k mostly 2wd, 4x4s are rare.
II'l take the van over all of them
little nikki
Ford still Out-managed to sell more

I figured GMC should be out of business soon, the trucks and cars are garbage 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Chevy = 💩. 😆
They were junk. LMAO
NO. THEY. WERENT.
Then, why are there so many early eighties GMC & Chevrolets still on the road in 2019? That can't be said for Ford or Dodge.
Chevrolet always betten Ford Toyota and Dodge and s***
