Why they stopped making them so durable simple and strong ..
Amazing trucks back in the day! I’d still have any 73 to 87 truck today over the techno shit for trucks we’ve got nowadays!
1980 was both the first year for square shaped headlamps & last year for round shaped headlamps. The square shaped headlamps came standard on models with the Silverado & Sierra Classic trim levels & optional on the others. Also 1980 was the last year for the nose on the front, emblems, interior, optional bodyside molding trim, & tailgate with those designs. Those generation Chevy & GMC pickups, Suburbans, Blazers, & Jimmys were produced from 1973 through 1991, except the half ton & three quarter ton regular cab pickups were discontinued in 1987 & the one ton regular cab pickups were discontinued in 1989.
yes
Yup. Sure love me my 3/4 ton 1990 suburban silverado. It's still in fantastic shape too! Zero rust anywhere
Also was the last year for their C20 (except for the ones that came with the 454 )and K20 models to have the full float corporate 14 bolt, then in 81 they all came with the semi float 14, which I didn't like.
The General did know how to build a truck
Having one of those old Suburbans was like having a 4 wheel drive van back in the day. It's great for keeping all your tools out of the elements.
GREAT OLD TRUCKS!! THANKS........
The Big 10 was Chevy's answer to the Ford F-150. The F-150 came out first in 1975 & later the Big 10 came out in 1976. Both were optional heavy duty half ton pickups at the time because the base F-100 pickups were still in production up through 1983. 1980 was the last year for the Big 10.
Such great trucks .i have many memories
And yeah I wish I could of owned a nice 4x4 stepside truck of this gen and past gen .
I love the chrome
Back when a truck wasn't the price of a Cadillac
Bidenomics. AKA Mr Potato Head.🤤
الصناعة المميزة والأصيلة التي لازالت تعمل ❤
My parents had a1985 chevy suburban 2wd silverado
They alredy had the Silverado name ..
I was not aware of the 4.8 straight six. How does it compare to Ford's 4.9 straight six?
Who cares??
Is that Bob Barker narrating?
Doesn't sound like him to me...
