  • I wanted to find out if I could use a Meater thermometer in the Ninja Woodfire Grill...
    So I cooked up a crispy skinned cherry smoked whole chicken at 240c with the woodfire setting on and some cherry smoking wood pellets. After 15 minutes I turned down the heat to 180c as the skin was wonderfully smoky and crispy, and the chicken just needed to be cooked through to 74c internal temperature.
    The meater block worked really well as a thermometer in the ninja woodfire, and the range to my phone was very good, but if you hook up the block to wifi, then you can monitor the cook wherever you are, this will work well with the meater+ probe too.
    The chicken was really tasty, and such an easy cook, I was very impressed with the smoke flavour, and the crisp skin.
    I'm going to be looking how to cook the best meats using a ninja woodfire outdoor grill! Such as in this cooking hack, we'll show you how to use a meater in the Ninja Woodfire grill to cook your meat evenly and perfectly every time.

    Hi Marcus, are you planning on doing more wood fire videos? I’ve seen your posts in the Facebook group and would to see your steps. I’ve just bought one of these so want to learn from a master!

    Hi, did the ambient temp match the ninja setting?
    I did a smoked pork shoulder, set it at 120c my meater ambient temp was 143c quite a difference

    He didn't say whether the meater worked while the chicken was cooking and the metal lid was closed! Does the bluetooth signal penetrate the closed lid?

      Looks like the price just went up in the US to $369 but Walmart still sells it for $297. Bought one off the shelf there last week

    What brand pellets do you recommend as the ninja pellets leave a lot of tar that has to be scrapped off the pellet box ?

    • @CountryWoodSmoke
      @CountryWoodSmoke  8 месяцев назад

      The ninja ones aren't great ...exstream bbq pellets are much better, cherry or hickory are my favourite
