I love my chem teacher, but this guy explained this topic and I understood it within seconds of him showing examples and working, instead of saying a lot of not so important stuff like scenarios. Give me the formula the directions and I'm good to go and if I'm not I'll ask questions
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an amazing video/lecture on How to Convert Moles to Atoms/Atoms to Moles in AP/General Chemistry. Conversions are important in all levels of Chemistry. This is an error free video/lecture on RUclips TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
He divided (8x10^23)/(6.022x10^23) in his calculator which gets 13.28. If you forget the parentheses, you will get 1.328x10^47 which is incorrect! PS: I know I'm mad late, but this is for anyone new who is looking for answers in the comments like I did and could not find it.
What happens to the exponents in the third problem? 10^24 is on top and 10^23 is in the denominator. How do we get rid of them? Is there a scientific notation rule that I am forgetting?
At 4:46, my calculator was a decimal place off, getting an answer of 1.328. Any reason for this? Most other calculations work out to the right answer. I know I can check my answer by plugging in the number to go from moles>atoms, but just curious

It changes in the first example, because when he multiplied 5 x 6.022 that answer is actual 30.11 but he wants to write it as 3.011 for the scientific notation. In order for him to do that, he also has to add 1 to the power 10*23 so that it is still the same number. I explained it as best I could

Come on man. Where are the times you did some interesting mechanism videos and stuff? Calculus was also ok but this is like elementary school chemistry and maths. Please go back to old times.

you just taught me more than my chem teacher all year
damn mood
Yeah I’m here to watch this bc my teacher decided to not show us how to do this
fax im learning college chem in highschool and i learned so much from this video

Can we just take a second and recognize this guy as the literal GOAT of all chem teachers

You are a very great teacher thank you!
this was more informational and easier to follow than anything i did in class thanks man
thanks man got some homework done with your help!
if any is confused on 6:37 what they are doing is dividing 4.3 and 6.022 and multiplying that by one half dont forget the 10^25 stuff
Thank you for the clear explanation!
Question: How do you determine the exponents in the final answer?
Determined by the significant numbers in the final answer.
Thankyou, you make these so easy and clear. You are a good teacher :)
How did it become 13.28? why did the decimal moved to right once?
He messed up the calculation it's actually 1.328462305×10⁴⁷ or simple 1.32×10⁴⁷
Remember in scientific notation it’s still multiplied by 10 raised to 1
Yeah I saw that too!
How did he do the equation? I'm new to this lesson
80 divided by 6.023
thank god, now i can pass my chemistry homework
That was so much easier than I thought! Thank you!
dont have words to praise you
On 4:42 what did he divided to get his answer?
he divided 8 by Avogadro's number (6.022) = 1.328
He divided (8x10^23)/(6.022x10^23) in his calculator which gets 13.28. If you forget the parentheses, you will get 1.328x10^47 which is incorrect!

Thank you so much for this tutor session! Great Job!!
I see this helps so many people yet I am here like -.-
Wow! Absolutely amazing what technology can do! Thank you so much.
In 1:30 What if you need to find the molecule CO2?
What happens to the exponents in the third problem? 10^24 is on top and 10^23 is in the denominator. How do we get rid of them? Is there a scientific notation rule that I am forgetting?
if you divide these numbers, you will get 10^24-23 = 10^1 = 10
You teach better than my teacher lol.
1:20 - U didn't explain why we got 3.011... How do I get that?
Hi I’m not sure if you still need help but he says “to get the answer it’s just 5x6.022x10^23”
(If you do that you should end up with 3.011)

4:45 how did he came up with an anwer of 13.28?????
u still need help?

That’s what I got to, where do you get 13.28? I got 1.328
@@FlyWithCristian question no 6 answer is wrong ig...?

I think you messed up in question 4 , i think you should have gotten 7.14×10^47 when you divided
i got what he got
@@Unalivmeplis your answer is only for one oxygen atom and we need 2. My answer was 1.42×10⁴⁸
My answer is 3.57 mol O2 on question 4
@@frdahkangomu I got the same answer and was wondering if that was me or him
I can't figure out why we start with 10^23 but in the final answer it's 10^24. How does that happen?
stacey finch u start with 23 because it’s Avogadro constant
It changes in the first example, because when he multiplied 5 x 6.022 that answer is actual 30.11 but he wants to write it as 3.011 for the scientific notation. In order for him to do that, he also has to add 1 to the power 10*23 so that it is still the same number. I explained it as best I could
@@ousmanfitness8132 Thank you, you are my hero right now.
THANK YOU KIND SOUL. i have been scrolling bc i did not understand this. thank you for taking it back to early chem for easy explanation!!!
what if the problem gives you the moles but in scientific notation? how would you solve that
when you divide in scientific notation, you subtract exponents( 10^24/10^23=10^1(10)) but when you multiply you add.
Thank you GOAT
screw my chem teacher I got this guy
How many atoms of carbon are in 2.5 mol of C2H6O?
3.01 x 10^24 Carbon atoms
shouldn't the first answer be 3x10^24 atoms becuase of the least amount of sig figs in the problem is 1?
How can i know that for 6.5 ???
Thank you so much
I'm confused because I don't know how to do the exponents...
Use a scientific calculator if you put the number in as 6.022x10^23 times 4 you'll get a answer with exponents in it
Antonioio Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!!!
where did u get the 6.022? 😢
why do you divide the last one by 17 too?
where did the 2 atoms come from?
help i need to know too😭😭
4:41 i don't get it??
Thank you so much- this help me a lot 😍😘
Why did you get a different number other than 23?
Just don’t understand when you to out 0.622 at the bottom or top
where does 2 molecules of N come from in the second equation?
Nitrogen has to be in twos, just a rule you have to know
Am getting 3.57 mol of O2 on question 4 but you have 35.7 mol O2
He moved the decimal point to the left once and added an extra exponent
I'm confused about number 2. Can someone explain it to me? Thanks.
I honestly think he did it wrong
I was using a different method and It brought to the same answer😅
He divided (8x10^23)/(6.022x10^23) in his calculator which gets 13.28. If you forget the parentheses, you will get 1.328x10^47 which is incorrect!

6.022 x 10²³ = number of atoms?
i wish you would have shown us you inputting this on your scientific calculator, becuase when i google the equation i just get the wrong answer.
1 mole = 6•023 only will come
How many Cl (Chlorine) atoms are in 1 mole of chlorine
Wut?
Just love you 😍😍
AV-8 I love you
Super
What happen with the third exponent?
Why isn’t it 30.11 x 10^23?
Because decimals after one place are used for scientific notations. So he moves the decimal by one place and 10²³ becomes 10²⁴
because chemistry likes to shit on everyone
I am Indian and your laguage is different to our language
7:03 wtf was that?????
why does 23 turn into 24?
Gracias mi maestro no sabe explicar
mi maestro tambien
I think the 3rd question is wrong , or it’s just me . I could have just placed the decimal in the wrong place
helpful
Howd he get 6.022
Sitting in chemistry having to watch this cause my teacher can't do shit
why did it became 3.011? i thought i just need to multiply 6.022 to 5 and i got 30.11
oh i get it now
u move the decimal point once to left, and whenever u do it the exponent of 10 increases to 1
This shit makes no since
Least confusing stiochiometry
This was no help
Shut up
😊
He just dumb or confused
Ur just dumb
You trippin
this does NOT help at all 😢😢😢
I didnt understand shit
