Converting Between Moles, Atoms, and Molecules

  • How many atoms in 5.5 moles? How many moles is 4.6 x 10^24 sulfur atoms? We'll solve problems like these, where we convert back and forth between moles and the number of atoms or molecules that we have. We'll be using both a common sense approach, and also a standard conversion factor method. We'll learn how to use a scientific calculation to do this math, and we'll see how to round our answers with scientific notation and significant figures.

Yet again, I'm paying a huge amount of tuition at school for a class.....only to turn to you and learn it for free and be able to pass the test. I just wanna thank you so much for making this video! This really made me understand what we've been learning about in physical science honors and my teacher doesn't always explain it to us like that she just gives us a worksheet and tells us to work with others. I actually for once believe I'll ace the test tomorrow :) thanks !

this guy is a flippin ninja at teaching I watch hours and hours of this type of stuff and I usually watch either mit or Stanford videos or cern vids but I found a gap in my knowledge so I surfed around to find conversion math and out pops this guy so I watched his vid on atom ionization and it was really good ,so I watched this one and it was even better I have no clue what campus is ripping him off but he should really throw himself out there to like google or facebook .....to those who don't know that is the top 2 companies to work for in the known universe ...I have never given a standing ovation but young man you are receiving one now bravo
