KFC Dude vs Vegan Activist

- I actually agree with the guy in the video.
Street activism, by itself, will not cause everyone to change.
Animal ag is a massive industry and it's going to take more than just street activists to create a vegan world.
We need innovators...to create new products that make people like him want to choose plant-based foods over animal products.
Look at it this way...
There is a company that makes biodegradable/compostable cling wrap. Imagine they get 10,000 customers this year.
When it comes to plastic waste, what is easier?
To get one business to create a superior, sustainable, and ethical solution where the consumer doesn't have to feel like they are giving up anything?
Or to get 10,000 people to change their behaviors?
I believe in the first.
But at the same time, we need more street activists because even though it may not change people like him...
There are countless other people who decided to go vegan because of street outreach.
We are all influenced in different ways.
What do you feel is the most important method for creating a vegan world? Хобби
If for humans eating meat is bad what about animals killing each other?
They won’t answer that one
Yea, they literally dont get what reality is lol😂
Nature does not mean morality. Same reason why we dont eat our own babies
@@Lilquan2004 Should humanity base its morality on what animals do? Do you not think humanity is better than that? Should we shit, piss & f on the streets "because dogs do"? Should we pin women down by the neck & r them "because cats do"? Should you take the lives of your new girlfriends children to turn her on, "because lions do"? How many more examples do you need? Veganism only applies to humanity. How many animals have built industrial slaughter industries to murder billions, & then eat until they become obese & suffer from chronic diseases?
You think that it's a smart question but, seriously, it's dumb as a rock.
If all animals live in the wild, eat raw meat, shit without toilet paper, don't use technolohy, medicine why not humans?
Its sad how there's probably millions of homeless people suffering and all these people care about is what others are eating.
I love the irony that your username is "Legalize Weed" and you make a comment implying animal rights activists don't care about humans. The world currently produces enough food to feed the entire population. One of the problems is that up to 90% of calories are lost when we feed products like soybeans to animals instead of humans directly. If we redistributed the food that's already produced, this can help people as well. Second to that - The empathy vegans have for animals is a character trait that extends to humans as well. And finally - Trillions of animals get killed every year for humans, and we will not stand by to this injustice.

It is nature of Life to Live, Life needs Life to survive. Life has to eat life to survive. Cells requires cells to survive. That's the basic of life's science. To depend only on plant is difficult for our survival. Our diet has to be diverse so we can survive easily in the face of adversity. Plus eating meat gives us more energy/calories to work, it allows us to work better to survive in this harsh world. It is nature of life to eat life to survive. Killing a chicken is not equivalent to killing a human, eating meat is never cannibalism. It is just nature of life to eat the meat of other species. A fish eats a smaller fish, Birds eating worms, Lions eating deers, Sharks eating sea lions, snakes eating rats & the list goes on and on. IT IS NATURE OF LIFE. Dear vegans stop being too obsessed with your ideology, respect life the way it is. Do not try to change it to your own idea of life. At the same time I do not encourage too much of meat consumption. Have a balanced diet please. Life is harsh, Life is brutal, Life is cruel, but that's just the nature of life. Respect nature.
Holy you dont need to waste time chatting that much😅
If he's so clever and has a better way to convince people to go vegan, why hasn't he convinced himself? People who have this criticism wouldn't go vegan even if they were approached as they suggest. They're just resentful that someone's making them feel guilty for supporting animal abuse.

Eh going vegan isn't really something the world needs to do. If doing it was cheaper, more energy efficient and tasted the same, I doubt there'd be many people that wouldn't go vegan (maybe not go vegan but just happen to eat more vegan food).
Nature is always about consuming others, be it between animals and even on the cellular scale. The concept of violence is embeded in life itself, since it's easier for an organism who would attack others to survive, while a pacifist organism would just get eaten by others. Even the peaceful looking plants attack foring organisms that do not benefit them, be it viruses and stuff.
Eating or not eating an animal isn't going to make a change, since it was going to die anyways. If we didn't eat them (thus wouldn't breed them and farm them) they would live in the wild, where they would get brutally eaten by predators anyways. One could argue that we actually give them better lives (some industries, not all of them) since a stress free animal gives better meat.
Sorry for the rant, I was bored lol.
But that's not a moral justification...and don't you dare derive your moral compass from the wild.. cuz that would also justify other brutal acts like killing and raping..
It's easier for you to conceptualize all that brutality cuz you're not the victim here.. you're the victimizer..
In the past , people did eat a lot more plant than they do now..
Did you know that lasagna was actually made using spinach.. instead of ground meat cuz it wasn't that available or cheap for that matter..
@@scienceislove2014 it wouldn't justify brutal acts, cus justifying is saying thise acts are good, that they are just. I'm saying that wether or not we do them, there's going to be no change so all I'm saying is that they're neutral acts.

He is pointing out that striking at the consumers while ignoring the actual industry isn't fair.
Its like blaming a guy drinking coke for making coke the biggest polluter on the planet.
Its corrupt laws that allow massive polution and animal abuse.
Many 3rd world countries are consuming less meat and energy per person whilst also doing less polution.
The issue is the hedonistic cultures and bad laws.
An african guy who eats meat and drinks soda isn't the causing any issues because its being done sustainably without mass factory farming.
Do you have a method that can get this woman (or any other activist) in front of the animal agriculture industry CEOs/leaders? Please share so we can try to convince them too. Till then it is absolutely on the consumer to not support brands and industries that abuse animals, abuse children, pollute the planet or any other action you find unethical. Consumers are not the only problem, but they are the ones that financially support the companies and authorities you mentioned, so they are part of the problem. They are also the ones that vote leaders into power who have influence on those "bad laws" you mentioned.
@T_Armstrong It's the politicians you go after and you influence voters through social media and exposing under the table deals between politicians and these companies.
Telling me I am bad for eating meat only makes me hate veganism.
Telling me about how politicians look the other way for companies to do certain things is another angle that I and all other meat eaters agree with.
@@rory6860 How do you suggest someone should "go after" politicians who "look the other way".
Are you saying that it would be possible to convince someone who wants to continue eating meat to vote for a politician who wants to end meat consumption?
That just does not make sense to me.
Can you describe what that process would look like?
As an analogy, would you say that it is not people's responsibility to put rubbish in bins, it should instead be up to the government to provide more bins?
If you have the power and capability to not contribute to littering the environment, then you should be responsible for putting your trash into a bin. Even if you prefer to drop it on the ground, and even if the local authorities have not provided you with a bin. It's a tame example but tell me if you disagree, should people be able to freely litter because of a lack of bins in their general area and relaxed rules around littering?
BTW Neither I, nor the girl in the video ever said you, or the guy in the video were 'bad'. Stop playing the victim. There are animals being stabbed in the throat, they are the victims.
Do you consider a diet subsisting of beans and rice (plus a multivitamin and obligatory B12) to be...
A) An appropriately planned vegan diet, healthful, nutritionally adequate, and appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes?
and..
B) Due to the relative low cost tot he individual and ease of access in obtaining that it not only meets but upholds the founding axiom of Veganism "as far as is possible and practicable" (i.e., within the power or capacity of someone to put into practice successfully) "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude- as far as is possible and practicable -all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."?
For A) I'm not a nutrition expert so I can't give advice on this. There are other videos on this channel from plant-based health professionals (Lisa Simon, Registered Dietician), Dr. Klaper, Dr. Esselstyn, as well as other medical professionals who specialize in health for various groups of people including the needs of athletes. Through my interviews, I've come across people who have been vegan their entire lives, even while their mothers were pregnant with them. My personal diet is more than simply beans an rice. There are more than 200,000 edible species of plants out there and I do choose some of the vegan 'fake meats' even though it's not the healthiest for me. If you're searching for specific heath information, I suggest the people I mentioned above for that source of information. I'm not sure the question for B.
What is your stance on the needless rape, murder, torture, and enslavement of sentient beings...and would you actively support an industry that facilitates the rape, murder, torture, exploitation, and enslavement of billions upon billions of sentient beings?
