Thank you Henrik! I had to completely stop eating meat AND animal bi-products for nearly 5 years because of health issues (cholesterol mainly) and literally the ONLY thing I thought about when eating was 'how many more months of this until I eat meat again!?' at 5yrs 3mo my doctor told me all my levels were normal and I could safely eat meat as long as I continued to eat a balanced meal not meat heavy as I had been I lived on a cattle farm so meat was free vs veggies that we had to pay for and at the time our herd wasn't doing too great so we had to cut back on sales to focus on herd health and completely rework our breeding's as the bulls we had were not producing quality steers which weren't growing as big as we needed them to, to turn profit...which meant beef morning noon and night for almost 4 years (noon replaced by school food which lets face it isn't really all that healthy back in the late 90s early 2000s lol) until our herd was right, which seriously took a toll on all of our health but mine especially for some reason.
i was vegetarian for around three years and i can assure you it wasn't THAT bad when i went back to eating it. i mean i understand that woman who hadn't ate it in like 30 years but the 1 year girl was likely (such as myself) only vegetarian because it was like cool at the time

The point of being a vegetarian is not that meat tastes bad. There's a pretty broad consensus that it tastes good actually. The point of being a vegetarian is that you disagree with the killing of animals for food, or disagree with the way the food industry treats animals. (of course people have their own personal tastes, and maybe that changes if you haven't eaten meat for a while)
I stopped eating meat for awhile, for no reason other than taste. Even now i'm sensitive to certain tastes, can't stand gamey meat, don't like dark chicken meat, only eat pork in the form of bacon and ham or if it's cooked properly Pork belly. I especially hate any hint of gristle on my steak. Guess that makes me a meat snob.

I lived on a cattle farm so meat was free vs veggies that we had to pay for and at the time our herd wasn't doing too great so we had to cut back on sales to focus on herd health and completely rework our breeding's as the bulls we had were not producing quality steers which weren't growing as big as we needed them to, to turn profit...which meant beef morning noon and night for almost 4 years (noon replaced by school food which lets face it isn't really all that healthy back in the late 90s early 2000s lol) until our herd was right, which seriously took a toll on all of our health but mine especially for some reason.

The point of being a vegetarian is not that meat tastes bad. There's a pretty broad consensus that it tastes good actually. The point of being a vegetarian is that you disagree with the killing of animals for food, or disagree with the way the food industry treats animals. (of course people have their own personal tastes, and maybe that changes if you haven't eaten meat for a while)

Even now i'm sensitive to certain tastes, can't stand gamey meat, don't like dark chicken meat, only eat pork in the form of bacon and ham or if it's cooked properly Pork belly. I especially hate any hint of gristle on my steak. Guess that makes me a meat snob.
